The most preferred sorts of coffee makers are automatic drip, grind as well as brew, and also hull models-- yet there are specialty coffee makers like French presses, pour-overs and also Moka pots, as well.

As I relied heavily on Amazon reviews, (and out of necessity since my Cuisinart coffee maker crapped out) I decided to buy the Mueller coffee maker. I used it this morning for the first time and am delighted with the results. 1) unboxing: I checked for damage and there wasn’t anything obvious and looked brand new. 2) preparation: following the directions, I decided to run 4 cycles of clean water through the coffee maker prior to use to avoid the plastic smell or taste that some reviewers had cited. 3) first sample of coffee: I followed the same measurement I used for my Cuisinart i.e. poured 18oz of water in reservoir, added 20 grams of ground coffee in the filter provided and my result was 18oz of rich, dark, hot coffee. Yay! 4) imo there was no additional cleanup However, my only complaint is that I wish it provided an audible notification as to when the coffee is ready. But, in view of the fact that it probably took less than 7 minutes to finish, I’m still satisfied with my purchase. If anything changes in the future, I will update my review but I would encourage you to buy this coffee maker provided you are willing to follow the easy, straightforward directions in the manual.

This was expensive!! I am shocked that the heating plate began pealing within 3 weeks of purchase. I clean the plate every day and never experienced this! The basket filter was hard to clean and the water reservoir was small. I regularly spilled water from the pot while pouring it in. So many problems that I bought a Mr Coffee. So far so good and I like it better. Do not buy this!

I was going back to a brewer from a Keurig, but after a serious trial period I gave up. We're long time coffee drinkers, but switched to a K cup a few years back. I was satisfied with the ease and options, but my wife wanted to try going back..and so we did with well known dark roast coffees we've used in the past..tried all the known variables and couldn't get a cup of coffee we were satisfied with, so after enough time I put the new coffee maker back in its box and on a shelf ..perhaps never to be used again...

This has been making coffee in my kitchen, every morning since we received it. Got to be..... three months now. Took hardly any time to set it up. Clean it and start making coffee. I prep it the night before and wake up to wonderful aroma and delicious coffee... every day. All I wanted. Don't need all the other crap. OH, I will say, that I never make more than 10 cups. When you add enough grounds for 12, they over flow the filter and get into the carafe. So.... there is that. -.5 point I guess.

To keep it simple... Would buy again. 5 stars because you get what you pay for. For the price, the quality is as good as you could hope for. Good: 1. Compact. Takes up very little room on my counter for being a 12-cup pot. 2. Makes good tasting coffee and I've never had coffee sitting in the pot burn, but it's kept hot. 3. 2 year manufacturer warranty. My pot broke after 7 months (it was dropped) and the customer service chat on their website was easy to use. They are sending me a new pot for FREE even though it was my fault it broke. 4. Easy to use. 5. Reusable filter so you don't have to buy paper filters ever again! Bad: 1. Depending on where you keep it, it can be kinda tricky to pour in the water to the back carafe. 2. No replacement pots offered for purchase through manufacturer. (See good section for replacement though!) 3. The condensation builds up after sitting and continuously tries to come out the spout and makes an annoying noise. Can open up the lid to the maker after the coffee has been brewed to help the excess liquid evaporate and it stops making the noise after a couple times.

This is a serviceable coffeemaker. It's attractive to look at and makes good coffee. However, it has broken twice. The part that stops the flow of coffee into the carafe when removed during brewing has broken twice. (A replacement part broke the second time. Much too fragile for an appliance that gets a daily workout.). So we now have to wait until the coffee is done brewing to have a cup. Coffee lovers will know how agonizing this can be on certain mornings. So... if you can wait for your coffee, this will work for you, even broken. If you can't, get another maker and save yourself the agony.

It was time for me to finally get a new coffee maker. I picked this one because the reviews were good and the fact that the lip or top part of the coffee pot was not glued to the glass. The top of my last coffee pot was glued to the glass and after several years of use, the glue was finally undone where I would pour a hot pot of coffee and the the coffee would leak between the glass and the plastic. This coffee pot is all glass except for the handle. The coffee maker has a nice stainless steel look. This coffee maker makes a good brew, there is a setting for brew strength. It brews in a timely manner and keeps the pot warm for several hours after brewing and automatically shuts off. At the time of purchase, the price was pretty good at under $40. I had it for several months and I brew coffee every other day or so. Its been working fine so far. Its great having a reusable filter. It saves a lot of money from buying them. The only concern that I have is the coffee grounds getting in the reservoir. I just hope that it will pass through the fine coffee grounds and that it will not get clogged.

Just made my first cup of java, no problems. This unit replaces my $19 Black & Decker coffee maker that I retired after 10 years of excellent service, due to mineral build up inside - no longer removable with vinegar wash. Amazon still sells the B&D unit. I spent a little extra money for this unit hoping it would clean easier, but I doubt that after seeing inside the unit. No leaks on the counter, pours without leaks, but takes a tad bit longer to brew my 4-5 cups, and it seems slightly weaker brew. Temperature is OK. Lots of people like their coffee really hot, not sure why, they blow on it and often wait until it cools before they drink it anyway; but plenty hot enough. Made in PRC, which is the abbreviation for People's Republic of China....NOT Austria as implied in the name.

Although it's a little large for my small kitchen, I'm very glad I replaced my small four-cup coffee maker with this one by Mueller. The coffee is consistently tasty, never bitter. I realy like that it keeps the coffee warm. It's easily programmable and the controls are easy to read.

I was desperately looking for a basic coffee maker with a CONE filter. I think this is the 3rd one I have tried. I returned the other two. It's great, has a delayed start feature and an option for stronger coffee-which I use. I tried it with the enclosed permanent filter and my own paper filter. I preferred the paper filter-but to each his/her own. My only complaint is that it took about 4 full brews before it lost the plastic taste. (don't give up) I've only had it about a week and a half, so not sure about the longevity. I bought the same brand with the thermal pot-it didn't make the coffee hot enough and I just prefer drinking out of a glass carafe, so I returned it. I am unfamiliar with this brand, but I am very happy. I usually only write reviews if something is REALLY good or REALLY bad. Oh, and it doesn't drip when you pour it. By the way, I came from an old (vintage-late 90s) Krupps white drip (cone filter) coffee maker. It was incredible, but after many years, it finally bit the dust-other than a french press, I think it made the best coffee I've ever had at home. I am a grind the beans daily drinker.

Had been looking at Cuisinart coffee makers but didn't want to spend $100 or more for one. We had an old Black and Decker and really wanted to replace with a BPA-free coffee maker. Came across this and got it for $35! Great coffee maker and looks nice in the kitchen. Find we have to use less coffee grounds than we did in our old coffee maker to get the same amount of flavor. Definitely recommend!

After going through 3 coffee markers of that other popular “Mr.” brand just during COVID, we are finally happy with our new coffee maker. It easy to use and clean and it has the important features such as programmable and auto off. I love how you with just a push of a button you can adjust the strength of your coffee. I’m looking forward to many years of strong hot coffee.

So, I cannot give my opinion for lasting power--I've only owned this for a month-I LOOOVE MY COFFEE NOW!! I am shocked at a difference a coffeemaker can make--!! If I'm awake, I'll always have a coffee within reach-I love coffee. When I got it, I used same brand coffee, everything the way I always do. The coffee was amazing-not even kidding-it's more like dessert now. Without the filter, there will be sediment in the pot-but a big deal to me for a delicious coffee. I DID end up using a filter (sometimes) the'old' 'round' filters WILL fit-good coffee,though-p.s. I rarely rarely leave reviews-have a good day:)

Bought this 80 days ago and it stopped working after 80 days. Will not heat up. Heating plate seems to be broken. <Edit> I called Amazon who said I'm past the return window, but connected me directly with Müeler who is expediting a warrantee replacement at no cost. I was impressed. I'm bumping up the stars by two, and will reserve a final rating if the same machine exceeds in longevity. I really love how this product functions, simple, quality output, and a very good value...

I obviously got a lemon. The pause and pour feature didnt work and the pot only brewed about half of the coffee and then the rest had to just seep through the grounds on their own, ending in a 15-20 minute brew process. Ain't nobody got time for that! Already having dealt with the consistently worsening Amazon customer service department once today (between identity verification, conversation time, and hold time every Amazon call is like 30 minutes), I said lemme call Mueller because I'd read they have great customer service in the reviews! Sure enough, they listened to my problem, comprehended the words that were coming out of my mouth (anyone else have to repeat their issue 5 times to a Amazon customer service person before they understand what you're talking about?) and had a new pot coming to me in about 10 minutes. If I had called Amazon, 10 minutes would have been my hold time while the agent found out what they could do for me. If you have problems, CALL MUELLER FIRST!

I love this coffee pot. It is the perfect size for our cabin which doesn't have a lot of counterspace. I love the fact that it can make big pots (12 cups), but doesn't take up big space. Also a hit is that the pour spout doesn't spill no matter how fast or slow you pour the coffee in your pot. Someone in design needs a raise, that this was incorporated in this pot! My husband spills every time with our older coffee pot at home..so I'm going to buy a second Mueller to replace that one. This is also programmable which is a plus. Don't use that feature often, but nice to have. This also makes a pot very quickly. One last reason I bought this pot is the coffee is hot as it comes out. No waiting for any extra heating. Very satisfied!

It is the cutest!!! Doesn't take up much room, and works GREAT! I was worried it was going to suck due to some of the negative reviews but I wish I'd bought this a long time ago. I look forward to getting out of bed and making coffee (it has an auto timer, too) There's a strength button that I always use to make coffee bolder and comes with a little plastic scooper with a long handle. Anyways, if you're looking for a slightly compact coffee maker that will brew up to 12 cups, you won't be disappointed. I also love that it comes with a reusable filter (I used at first and then got the paper cone filters) and shuts off automatically after 2 hours. YAY!!

I took a chance on the Mueller Ultra Coffeemaker. I didn’t recognize the brand but after reading the reviews I said sure and purchased the coffeemaker. I am glad I took the chance. This is the best coffeemaker I have ever owned. The coffee taste so much better. I did a taste comparison between our old machine and the new Mueller and was blown away at the difference in taste. I can say without a doubt this coffeemaker is the best I have ever owned.

This coffee machine is a lot bigger and better than the old mister coffee we used to have. The timed functions are pretty great too. Every Folger's beans we put through it comes out good every time, and there's more than enough for me and my mom to drink every noon or morning. Right off the bat I'm going to say, you really need to read the instructions first and make absolutely sure that you clean the Machine through multiple times to get the plastic smell and taste out of it before you make your first-ever brew with it. It can be exhausting to be thorough but it will save you from a bad first impression like the One Star Reviews say. I hope this helps you judge your purchase well.

I can’t find a bad thing to say about this coffee maker. It’s small in size but still makes 12 cups of coffee. The glass carafe pours beautifully without any drips or spills. We don’t use the plastic filter since we have paper ones left from our last one and are used to using them. We compost our grinds and the papers. It brews in a timely manner and the coffee tastes wonderful. No plastic taste or smell here (and we got ours as a repackaged warehouse deal). It’s shiny and stainless so it matches our appliances. It keeps the coffee hot for 2 hours. And to top it off, the price tag is fantastic! It doesn’t feel or look chintzy either. If you’re on the fence, pull the trigger and order it. It’s a great deal.

Looked nice, had good reviews, so I ordered. I waited a couple of weeks to review to see if my original thoughts weren’t just negative because change in an routine is difficult. This looks good and brews fine, but it is cheap, very light, hard to pour the water into unit because of the way the drip portion extends outward into the way. Also the burner area is not adjustable and burns any smaller amounts that were awaiting your top off. I’d NOT RECOMMEND. Spend more and get a Cuisinart that is built better and not cheap and awkward to use. Feel I wasted my money!

I wanted to spend less than the cost of my last coffee maker since it only lasted 2 years, and the Mueller Ultra Coffee Maker looked to have the same features I wanted—cone filter, 12 cup, automatic timer so my coffee is ready when I get up in the morning—at a better price. When I pulled it out of the box, it felt cheap—thin, lightweight plastic and small frame. However, I love it now for those same reasons. It takes up less space on the countertop and is easier to pull out from under the upper cabinets. My previous one allowed me to have 2 preset timers, the Mueller has just one, but that’s the only feature I miss. Not a big deal to reset it though. It’s annoying that appliances , large and small, aren’t made to last anymore. My first microwave lasted 25 years until the interior light bulb died. It still worked, but we got rid of it because it was a countertop behemoth with a start button and a dial timer. We had been hoping it would die. Anyway, if I get 2 years from the Mueller, I’ll be satisfied.

Worked great, until it didn’t. Within 5 months of use, the spring on the interior basket broke, rendering the machine useless. However, I contacted Mueller customer service, got an immediate response and they’re sending out a free replacement part. So, annoying that it broke, but excellent customer service and I’m looking forward to having a working coffee maker again!

It brews coffee but that’s about all I can say in its favor. The coffee was incredibly weak and adding more coffee grounds only made it bitter, never stronger or more flavorful. The entire machine also felt very cheap and flimsy, from the glass carafe to the top cover. It felt like it might break at any moment. It technically worked fine and was easy to set up and use. But if you’re going to brew bad coffee, I’d save my money and buy a $20 machine.

I hate this coffee maker. When pouring water into tank it leaks all over the counter and when pouring into cup. That is not as bad as the coffee pot that continually is filled with coffee grounds when I make coffee. I’ve had for over 2 months and it seems to be getting worse

After owning this maker for several months, the smell and taste of plastic is still there. Before making my first cup of coffee, I ran water through this thing about 30 times. The coffee brews weaker than I am used to, even swapping in a paper filter. Cleaning the water reservoir will be a massive pain in the but when I need to do it in the future, I'm not looking forward to that. That said, everything else works great.

Just got. Based on reviews I ran it with water a few times. Actually did 2 pots with 1/2 cup white vinegar included with 11 cups water. Then ran 2 with just water to make sure no vinegar and/or machine oil taste. This morning I did my first pot with coffee grounds and family said it tasted great. We like robust flavor so put a half scoop more than specified for 12 cup pot. Also selected the button for stronger taste. We used fresh grounds ground in the same company’s grinder. Very happy. Will update if anything changes

I would recommend buying a cheaper product that does the same thing. It is a very simple programmable coffee maker not really worth the price. Three main Gripes. 1. Why write Austria all over it and then produce it in China? 2. Is this a coffee maker for right handed people? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills trying to get water into it without spilling any on the counter since the opening is so damn small. 3. Price point. Even on "sale" this is a $20 coffee maker with a pretty silver sticker over the front of it to make it look nice.

Overall makes a good strong cup of coffee. However, we have semi-hard water and need to de-scale periodically. The instructions for descaling make no sense whatsoever so I asked Amazon reviewers for their feedback and got lots of information....thanks to all. I also emailed Mueller's product support and they corrected the instruction manual as follows: "I would first like to let you know that you do not need to do this in a coffee cup, as that is an error in the manual. You can and should perform this in the carafe itself, and make sure to thoroughly clean it afterward. As for #5: What it basically says here is that you need to pause the brewing process. When the water tank is filled to max it will typically take approximately 7 minutes to brew a full tank into the carafe. You can pause the brewing process, say after 2 minutes by double-pressing the ON/OFF button. The solution will have then gone through the system to start cleansing. After 30 - 60 minutes, you can select the ON/OFF button and the brew will continue with the remaining water. You can continue to pause the brewing process every 2 minutes, let the unit cool again for 30-60 minutes, and repeat until no water left in the reservoir." Mueller product support is great and very fast in responding. We've had the coffee maker 6 weeks and its stilling doing a great job!

It's early days (only used it twice), but the product is working fine. It is a little labor intensive in that you need to unplug the machine when not in use; you need to wash and wipe down the machine so that it is dry. Care must be taken not to overfill the basket/reusable filter with coffee grounds. Pour the water carefully as it tends to splash into the basket and onto the heating element. The clock function is only good for timing the brew (remember you need to unplug the machine). Finally, be sure to run water through the machine three time prior to brewing coffee as there are substances from the manufacturing of this product.

I like every feature of the coffeemaker. I switched from one I had used for years (another brand) to this one. I was skeptical at first because it takes quite a bit longer to brew coffee. I like everything about it. I set it to brew just before I get up and my coffee is ready. It is easy to clean, makes perfect coffee if you measure the right amount. I have used both coffee freshly ground by me and some that was already ground. Both are excellent. I LOVE the ease of cleaning it. (My other one was extremely difficult). Would recommend this to my friends. I had never heard of the brand but am so glad I found it on Amazon.

Makes a decent cup of coffee, no frills but that’s okay with me. Only “flaws” I’ve seen so far is the opening for the water well is a little tight so pouring water in could result in you splashing the filter area. Also the filter itself is cone shaped which gives some filters an overlapped shape which results in the coffee grinds to come out of the filter and fall in the built in filter. Not really a problem but it’s an extra step in cleaning if it occurs when making a large batch.

We got this to replace our even more budget coffee maker b/c I needed one that would automatically shut off. This does exactly what we needed. That being said, when we make full pots of coffee the grounds end up overflowing (when the water pumps through) and we get grounds in our pot of coffee. I believe it has something to do with using the “bold” feature but figured it was worth mentioning. Also, the bottom of the maker, under the heated plate, gets extremely hot. The case of the maker isn’t well insulated from the heat elements. As well as I feel like the plate gets too hot and our coffee gets burned if we leave any in the pot. All in all, we are happy with it. And it does exactly what we wanted for the price we were willing to pay.

Bought this to replace my coffee pot that suddenly quit. It started up right away heating water perfect for hot cocoa. I then brewed a pot of coffee It brewed steadily filling the pot. I liked that it will continue heating for 2 hours instead of the average 4 (I don't need it to heat that long). At first when I looked at it, I thought it was smaller than the average coffee maker, but no it's the same height. The pot is more round than oblong. So far very happy with this coffee maker.

We desperately needed an upgrade to our already hand-me-down office kitchen coffee maker. This pot had great reviews and reasonable price, and best of all for us - the auto-off feature, so no one has to drive back after we lock up to check and see if the coffee pot is off! We did have to switch our stash of filters to the cone shaped ones, but otherwise it took 5 minutes to unpack and set up, ran through a few pots of hot water and then put it to use. Have been using daily for about two weeks and no complaints.

I’m very happy with this coffee maker. I’m a coffee lover and have purchased expensive models in the past & the flavor & quality of the coffee doesn’t compare. This particular model is easy to use and it has a feature that permits brewing stronger coffee, which I prefer. I highly recommend the Mueller Ultra Coffee Maker. Also, few days in the carafe fell off my counter & cracked into many pieces. Mueller customer service is replacing free of charge. Fabulous customer service.

The bold smooth flavor of coffee brewed with the Mueller is superior to most Coffee Makers that I have used; and I have gone through many other coffee makers in the last 40 years! The unit is small and light but delivers huge quality improvement in brewed coffee at home. I was blown away by the difference in how smooth and deliciously robust the same coffee brand I use was when made with this little gem! No bitterness was noted at all in the many pots of coffee that I’ve brewed thus far with my Mueller Coffee Maker. If you want Absolutely fantastic, smooth, flavorful and robust coffee; look no further! Excellence in brewed coffee follows despite the slightly higher brand comparative price-point!

We like this coffee maker a lot but the one "big" fault we have with this item is the clock will only stay illuminated for only a few seconds before going blank and unable to read. Why have a clock installed and touted in the description when it truly is NOT usable. The manufacture responded to our question on the clock and confirmed it will only stay on for a few seconds under any and all circumstances. Terrible design........

it could be a little hotter. if you add cold milk, its either luke warm or maybe heat it in the microwave... the milk or the milk and coffee. other pots have not done that. it takes #4 cone filters. I'm not too fond of the plastic mesh filter but to each his own. Really nice looking too. other than that so far it great. especially if you take your coffee black. carafe doesn't spill. how did they manage that? I had a Cuisinart carafe that ran down my hand every time I poured it over the sink. this doesn't do that. the carafe doesn't seem to be made any thinner as some said. thumb opening works. seems of a normal thickness although I wish they were all thicker. I dont know if the button that makes it stronger really does but I use it. maybe I should try it with out it on and see if its hotter. made in china.

Love this coffee maker, simple to use, easy to clean, and great tasting coffee. I love the fact that it uses the cone filters rather that the flat bottomed filters. I have spent 5 times more for other coffee maker that didn't give me the flavor I was expecting to get for the money and I love the small foot print.

I searched high and low for the perfect coffee maker. They either, dripped, leaked, not hot enough, stopped working within a month to 6 months, or were too complicated to use. And that was going by every ones reviews of the "other guys." I looked at the cheap ones, expensive ones, and everything in between. Then I found this beauty. It is very stylish and easy to use. Oh, and did I mention that it makes THE perfect cup of coffee. I think that this is going to be a long coffee relationship!

It's a drip coffee pot. We have a Müeller coffee grinder that is amazing so thought we would try the coffee pot. It was inexpensive so there's that! It's like a cheap Mr. Coffee. Nothing special. My husband is left handed and can't get the pot to pour without spilling half a cup! You have to pour it very slow. It brews Fast and the coffee is good ( I used wink blond roast fresh ground) it's plenty hot too. Overall it's an ok coffee maker for the price. Update... The filter keeps flopping over causing ground to fill up the pot. It's a piece of junk. Would's send it's back if we could. Going out to get another one today.

This is a really nice coffeemaker for the price. I previously have had 2 Cuisinart coffeemakers and the second one lasted almost 10 years before its electronic components fizzled out on me. I really appreciate that this is a good replacement, with most of the same features. I can set a clock (which shows up in pleasant LED blue, although the LED doesn't stay on all the time), I can program it to come on in the morning, and I can indicate whether I want the strength of the coffee to be regular or stronger. It also holds a nice 12 cups. My Cuisinart had similar features--it held 12 cups, I could program it, and when making 4 cups or less I could brew it stronger. I believe my Cuisinart also allowed me to set the amount of time the hotplate would stay warm; I don't see that the Mueller has this feature. One thing that's different between the Mueller and the Cuisinart is the relative openness of the Mueller design. The Cuisinart base extended around the sides of the coffeepot a bit. With the Mueller, the coffeemaker is more open on the sides. This is not a big deal, and I do appreciate the slightly smaller footprint of the Mueller, but you will want to be careful not to let anything bump into the side of the coffeepot, since it could melt it. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but worth mentioning. One other nice feature of the Mueller is that the lid (which you open to pour in the water) has a nice sturdy hinge to hold it up; it also has sort of a snap-shut seal. The Cuisinart lid closed but did not snap shut. I'm thinking this is probably better for keeping the flavor in, although I'm no coffee expert. I like also that the Mueller includes a washable filter. I used a metal mesh washable filter with the Cuisinart, but I can't recall now whether it came with it, or whether I purchased it separately. I love that I can see the water level much easier on the Mueller. I have iron-infused well water, so it's possible that in time this area will yellow and be difficult to see, but for now, I am enjoying being able to tell how much water I've poured in. In any case, it's easy to use, the coffee is good, and I'm hoping it will be as durable as the Cuisinart was. The Mueller is only about one-third the price, which is why I went with the Mueller this time. I also appreciate that Better World had simply stellar service when I ran into a warehouse issue. The issue did not originate with them but they were absolutely wonderful about resolving it. Very pleased with both the coffeemaker and Better World, and I recommend this coffeemaker.

Very pleased with this coffee maker! Nothing unnecessary like the four beeps our previous maker (Mr. Coffee) made when a pot was finished brewing. The delayed brew timer was a must for my husband and it works well. I didn't think there was a huge difference between the basket-style and the cone-style filters, but we have only used basket-style for the past 10+ years and I think the cone filters make a better cup of coffee. We haven't changed anything except the coffee maker and I believe the coffee tastes smoother and stronger than previously. That is without even using the "strong" setting, which we always used on our previous machine. That means you can use less coffee for the same strength = A+ As some others have noted, this machine isn't heavy and doesn't have a lot of bulk. We haven't had any problems because of that, but if you are used to a higher end expensive model then you might think this is cheap....but that is really going to come down to preference. we are very happy with the price and performance. Now if we can just keep from breaking the carafe...I don't see us needing to replace this one for a very long time. :-)

I have had this coffee pot for a few weeks now, and don't care for the permanent filter. I use the cone bleachless filters and that fixes the permanent filter issues. That is just a preference not really a bad thing about the coffee pot. My only complaint is that rubber grommet in the filter basket that secures the spring to the filter basket. Mine fell off several times, luckily I was able to find it the other times. But I finally lost it that part, and now I lost the functionality of the spring stopper. Can't get the part anywhere to replace it on my coffee pot. This coffee pot is fantastic, just be aware when dumping the coffee grinds of that grommet possibly falling off. I contacted Mueller at support@muellerdirect.com and that day they responded and are sending me a whole new filter basket! So for that, I’ll give it a 5 star review. Great customer service goes a long way, thank you Muller.

Love this coffee maker! You can set brew in regular or strength. Another part I like on this unit is the programmable brew, you have your coffee ready when you wake up every morning. I have not yet purchased a single serve K-cup brewer, but with this simple coffee machine I got the flexibility trying variable brands of ground coffee and making proper amount of coffee for myself or my family. It keeps coffee warm for tow hours after it’s ready. Many reviews said they loved this unit regarding coffee flavor. I guess it’s because of the V-shape of coffee ground basket and the way of applying heated water which ensure all coffee ground is well brewed, as I know basket shape of some other products are flat so part of coffee ground at the edge might be bypassed. The manual is a little bid not very easy to follow, only thing not super positive.

I like the clean , simple and modern look of it. The delay brew option is easy to figure out though I didn’t notice a difference between the regular and the strong brew options. If you want a no-frills coffee maker that delivers, then this one is it. Still remains to be seen how good it lasts but for now, i’m loving it :)

In the past I have owned several Bunn brand coffeemakers and various other company machines but this Mueller has beaten them all. Considering the price, ease of cleaning, time of brew, and simple directives this machine is well worth the money. I want to send a big shout out to the Mueller Company for making a product that actually does what it says! A+++++

The Mueller 12-cup coffee brewer is a nice looking addition to the kitchen. It is easy to use and brews a great cup of coffee. The only trouble I've had is the spring valve of the cone broke right away. A part either got lost or disintegrated. It's a mystery. The coffee maker still works, but I won't be able to fill a cup until the pot is finished brewing. It is fixable if I can find a gasket of the right size. Someone needs to engineer this spring valve a bit better.

I'm a coffee drinker (3-4 Pots A Day) & some-days MORE, so I tend to go through the standard Coffee Maker about every 3 yrs. and sure as water is wet, this year was the year for the old one (Mr. Coffee) to give up the ghost...LOL! Decided to go with a different brand, and Mueller was a brand I've haven't tried...until now! So far So good! For the NORMAL coffee drinker, this machine may be a great choice and have a long happy life....for me on the other hand, I went ahead and purchased a Extended Warranty.....as I know I'm going to work it hard...that's a fact!

My husband and I can be called coffee snobs as we prefer the robust taste and sophistication of Starbucks vs other brands. We have also only used a pour over coffee brewer for 3 years now but decided to get a “normal” coffee pot when our daughter was born. This coffee pot is easy to use and I really like that it is programmable. It is easy to clean however I would suggest using coffee filters because otherwise you have to rinse the basket after each use which the grounds will definitely mess up your garbage disposal!!! The taste of the coffee is crappy compared to the pour over but with the quick brewing time and 30 second pause we can get our caffeine fix in 2 mins compared to the 10-15 mins. I also have to complain about the temperature of the coffee it’s too hot to drink for at least 5 mins after pouring but again I’m a snob ?. This coffee maker deserves the 4 stars!

This is a really nice coffee maker. Easy to use with a visible water level and large enough opening to pour in the water. Timer, strength option and ability to pause are convenient features. Plus ii comes with a permanent filter. Top notch customer service as well. So why 4 stars instead of 5? The bottom part of the cone filter with the spring can pop off. IF that happens, immediately look for a tiny--and I do mean tiny--silicone washer. If you can find it, you can easily reassemble the unit with the washer inside and the spring and round holder outside. In my case, I had to contact customer service but they immediately sent out a replacement. Even with this one design issue, I would still highly recommend this coffee maker. It's a great value.

After another name-brand coffee maker bit the dust during these COVID times, I decided that, since I liked my Mueller coffee grinder so much, I'd probably enjoy their coffee maker as well. My leap of faith has been rewarded daily with excellent coffee, especially with the ability to control strength (which is great for smaller pots). Even with a silly drying rack mishap resulting in a broken carafe, Mueller wouldn't let me buy a replacement, instead sending a new one under warranty. Coffee maker works great, customer service is superb, highly recommend.

I wish I had returned it! I thought this would be the 1st coffee maker where I had seriously thought it was all user error. But then my boyfriend attempted making coffee and found out the same issues I had been having. You can not brew a full 12 cups, without chewing your coffee grounds while sipping on your morning cup of lack there of ...joy. We cleaned it thoroughly tried smaller and bigger grounds. You can only brew about 5 cups or less in this without grounds. Look I love my cup of morning Joe and maybe depending on the day me and my boyfriend can drink entire pot, so it really blows to have to keep making coffee. I don't know if anyone else has had issues, but I'm about to throw it away and buy the old brand I once had. This is frankly junk. Coffee brewing isn't about playing mad scientist to solve the problems in this coffee maker. I want just a nice cup of coffee...please.

Great coffee flavor from this pot. Using the permanent filter helps w/that & is ez to clean. The lid tips back far enough to pour the water in the reservoir so no spilled water..Yay!!! The unit is compact & fits well as to not clutter up the counter top. I set the timer for the following morning & great coffee awaits me..I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a pot that produces great coffee....

This coffee maker replaced a smaller Krups 5-Cup. Actually two of them, which were leaky and cheaply made. After the second went back to Amazon, I thought about how much I liked my Mueller Coffee Grinder and went back to re-read the coffee maker reviews. I honestly wanted something smaller but based on the level of customer satisfaction, the construction, and customer service of my other Mueller product -- I decided to go for it. Plus, the price point is unbeatable. This 12-cup was only a few dollars more than the Krups mini and really put it to shame. Also, this Mueller doesn't take up a ton of room. As other reviewers have stated, they packed a lot of great options into a moderately sized machine. I do wish that you could set a permanent clock or keep the lights on longer, but it's really not a big deal overall. The machine works quickly, doesn't leak, appears sturdy/stylish, and makes a lovely cup of coffee. I give this five coffee mugs :)

I had a $150 plus coffee maker (yes, I have questioned what the heck I was thinking when I got it) that bought the farm after 3 years and, this time, resolved to be a little more economical so got this. To my astonishment, this little beauty makes excellent coffee and I couldn't be happier. It is nicely designed and easy to use. The controls are simple, it has a screened removable funnel but you can line it with standard #4 filter paper if you want, and the opening where you pour your water in is large so you don't spill. As well, the glass carafe has a nicely designed lid that doesn't drip or leak and it easily hinges open so you can clean it without fooling around snapping it in and out as with my last one. I did not have the problem someone mentioned about it sliding around on the counter top when pressing the buttons.

We sure love this coffee pot! The brewing strength is a great feature for us, because we like our coffee strong, and now we are able to use less coffee but get a strong delicious coffee every morning. Another great thing is how small and compact the coffee brewer is, compared to my previous one, it looks and feels so nice and gives me more counter space, and you can’t go wrong with more counter space. I did notice that is easy to clean, and put back together, my old one had so many things that you had to pay attention to after cleaning, and got so very annoying, but the mueller one is just amazing

We are French press people and decided to get a regular coffee maker so we could set a timer and have coffee ready in the morning. We LOVE this coffee maker, no paper filters needed and the delay brew works perfect. There’s also a button for strength, so we can have strong coffee just like our French press!

This is by far the worst coffee make I've ever owned, it takes forever to brew and no matter what grind we use we end up with grounds in the bottom and the coffee is terribly strong, even for us. When you pull the pot to pour a cup it continues to brew and makes a huge mess.

We drink a lot of coffee and we like it dark and strong. We gave up on drip coffee makers years ago because we had to use a lot of coffee to get a decent cup. If we made a 12 cup pot the coffee was weak and we wound up with grounds in the cup. We used an electric percolator for years but had to use 2 filters to keep the grounds out. This coffee maker gives us a good strong cup using less coffee. We have been using this one for a couple of months now. The only problem is that after about a half hour the pot is not quite as hot, but we just zap it in the microwave for a few seconds then so no problem. Overall a great little coffee maker at a fantastic price. A much better deal than ones costing 4 times as much.

Excellent product! I bought this coffeemaker for my elderly aunt in Florida, who is under lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Her coffeemaker had broken, and I had to search *everywhere* online to find one that's both well-made and easy enough for her to operate. Many of the "inexpensive" coffeemakers these days had warnings in the reviews that they stopped working well soon or even had safety hazards -- and many of the highest-rated coffeemakers these days have programming and water filtering features that are too difficult for some elderly folks or are just too cumbersome for people who simply want to plug it in, load the water, load the coffee, and press a button. This coffeemaker arrived quickly and right on schedule, and my aunt is enjoying her daily coffee very much! Thank you!

Today is July 27, 2020. I looked back at my order history and saw I placed the order on January 27, so I've had the machine for just about six months. I was initially hesitant because I'd never heard the name Müeller before, but figurss it was worth taking a chance (for better or worse, thank Amazon for easy returns on crappy products). Result: I am incredibly pleased with this Müeller machine! Its reliability, ease, and end product (the liquid gold dripped into the pot) make it deserving of a place on our countertop right next to our Ninja blender, another device used daily. TLDR: Great delicious coffee; does its job. Equipped with the important essential features. Don't overthink it, just add to cart and buy it. If you're scrolling Amazon reviews, you likely want a full perspective. Here is mine with this added context: My wife and I both appreciate taking the time to prepare a pour over with fancy pants local 3rd wave coffee beans or brewed in a French press, but we also needed an everyday use machine left alone to do its job. My best statements regarding this Mueller coffee maker are mostly in comparison to coffee makers I've owned in the past, both Mr. Coffee and a Black and Decker (might've also owned a Cuisineart, but it was forgettable—clearly). This is an awesome straightforward machine. My first coffee maker with a cone shaped filter, I'll attest to its effectiveness in brewing a delicious and smooth cup. I recognize a difference in the amount of flavor pulled from the beans. Even though there's a measuring spoon provided for exact measurements, I generally have a heavy hand. Contrast this against the amount of beans my wife puts in when she makes a pot–what I'd consider to be too few–and how the resulting coffee from our old machines often tasted watered down. Without a change in her prep, I'm consistently pleased with the output. Either of us can make coffee without a problem. While it's simple and easy to use, it does have 2 much appreciated options. Choose to brew coffee with bolder flavor using the strong button, or use the delay timer to brew it later. A minor 3rd thing that made me smile was that the clock didn't reset when I unplugged it to reconfigure counter space. It's easy to clean. It also comes with one of those wire basket filters, if you like using them (I prefer paper). We've been married 5 years and go through a new coffee maker annually. I bought this because our old one started to lag in quality–weaker flavor, less coffee produced. We'd put in 12 cups worth of water and soon enough only yield 8 cups of coffee. I should point out that on this machine there's no cleaning cycle option, but please consider 2 things: I only noticed because my previous coffee makers had this button. And more importantly, I can't say those cleaning cycles ever did anything noteworthy (coffee maker cleaning cycle buttons seem to be on par with mattress tags). Check out my photos. I think it looks sleek. I hope this review is helpful and you're able enjoy good coffee. I'd buy it again.

We have really hard water, even with a water softener and our coffee pots don't last that long. Our old one was on the fritz, so I looked around for a replacement. My wife and I like strong coffee - but are fine using Mr. Coffee style drip makers. I saw this for a little more that the original one I had, but liked the looks of this better. It's a cone style, which I do think makes better coffee. This one is easy to open the hatch wide open and the area to pour the water is plenty big. It looks nice and I like the little bluish light. The coffee tastes great and it makes a pot fairly quickly. Overall, I'm a fan.

With all the stars this coffee maker receives and the low price I decided to give it a try. It looks nice but the construction is a bit thin in materials. The base gets very hot. Too hot to touch. The included filter allows a tremendous amount of coffee sediment through. I use Starbucks ground. When using a cone filter it often bends over. The temperature after brewing is not super hot. The burner does get it hotter but I need hot coffee right away in the morning. My previous maker was the Cuisinart DCC 1200 at twice the price. I will get another one of these.

This is a super buy at this price range. I like every thing about this machine. Contrary to other reviews I can not detect any plastic or chemical smell or taste. And the pitcher does not drip at all, from my experience with several other brands this is the first not to spill one drop. The brewed coffee is fantastic. While using the same brand coffee (100% Costa Rican) that I have used for more than a year, the flavor is even better than my old machine. This coffee maker has all the bells and whistles, adjustable brew strength, 24hr timer, auto off, 2 hr keep warm and even includes a detachable brew basket, no filter needed. The only thing I can't rate at this time is durability, I've only had it about a week, seems to be well made, only time will tell.

Coffee tastes great from this coffee maker. But, after less than a months use, the stop and pour feature has already stopped working! Makes this item completely useless for my needs. But of course, since it worked fine for the first two weeks, I’ve thrown away the box which makes it difficult to return. Very unhappy.

I have purchased only pots of caffè economic in some pasts and this pot of caffè spoilt me for real with everything of is characteristic. My favourite characteristic is a permanent is at all worse that those careers out of filters of caffè! It is the relief that knows that any steps never again. I want that I can it has chosen a force of the mine caffè partorisca these mornings that requires the intrepid cup of brew. A storage of cord are partorisca add so it does not have the extra cord that takes on countering spatial. My last characteristic preferred is a pause and touch like this calm does not have to that it expects it until a pot is down partorisca enjoy the cup of joe.

The product looks well enough made. It's easy to use. A couple of things do concern me however. I couldn't find anywhere on the package where this was BPA free or FDA approved, I just assumed that for some reason. There is another Coffee Maker on Amazon that is almost a carbon copy of this one (probably from same factory in China) and it is FDA approved but costs about 20 buck more. So that got me to wondering if there may have been corners cut on this machine. After a couple of pots I have not noticed the strong plastic smell that others have mentioned. Of course I cleaned it properly and use filtered water for the brew. The (permanent) filter is a plastic mesh so I will be surprised to see it last nearly as long a metal mesh. I would have rated this higher but until I get a clear indication of the FDA BPA free rating I'll leave it at three stars.

I have had several coffee makers. I recently retired my Cuisanart coffee maker after 10 years, and I purchased an inexpensive Mr. Coffee model. I don't need bells and whistles; I just want good-tasting coffee. After 2 weeks, the carafe on my Mr. Coffee model fell and shattered like ribbon candy. The glass on the carafe is so thin. To purchase a new carafe would cost almost as much as a Mr. Coffee model. Also, Mr. Coffee did not make my coffee taste as good as the Cuisanart, so I started studying coffee makers. The Mueller coffee maker was rated highly on Google and on Amazon, and I was skeptical at first, after seeing the cost. But I bought it, and I am so glad I did. This is the best coffee maker. I can change the brew strength to strong. The carafe is thicker glass than Mr. Coffee, and the Mueller coffee maker with all its stainless steel casing looks sharp no my kitchen counter. Best buy ever. Highly recommend! You won't be sorry.

We bough this coffee maker after 1 or 2 days or research. There were a couple of items which were importnt to us such as: - Glass carafe - No mess on the countertop - Delayed brewing - Strength of brew - Easy to clean - Permananent filter - Programmable if possible Seeing other coffee makers at this price range, I felt that competing products tend to lack one or more of these checkpoints. This one not only ticked them all off, but based on my few days of usage, this has performed well in all those areas. Bells and whistles aside, this makes good coffee, and the strength of brew option is something which feels handy to have in this regard. Also, has a very smart design and a solid build with no cheap looking parts - just adds to the beauty of the kitchen counter top. The only thing to imrove could be a minor area of better usage of screen to reflect what strenght of brew the machine is currently at, etc. Overall, this is a solid go for the price and I would totally recommend it.

This coffee maker performs better than other popular name brand ones I've had and at a lower price point. It's easy to clean, programmable, and has a reusable filter so you don't have to buy disposable ones. I also like that it doesn't continue to drip when I pull the pot out to pour a cup. I did three cycles brewing just hot water just in case there was a plastic-like taste that is common with new coffee makers and then brewed coffee on the fourth cycle. NO plastic taste whatsoever. I've had to do way more cycles of water with other coffee makers to get rid of that taste. I'm not even sure if I really had to do it at all with this one. If you're looking to step up from cheaply made $20 coffee makers but don't want to fork out a ton of money for one then this is a great option. This coffee maker performs as well or likely better than others that are double the price which makes it a steal at just under $40.

I'm an admitted coffee snob who normally buys espresso and pour overs from my local independent coffee shops. Now, with the whole shut down and the inconvenience to try and get coffee with crazy lines, has made me buy a good ole fashioned coffeemaker. I'm so happy and caffienated now! As mentioned in other reviews, this machine brews a good cup of coffee, is easy to use, has a hot plate that keeps the coffee hot for 2 hours after brewing, and allows you to put a cup while it's still brewing. It is easy to add water and even easier to clean when done. I've used this machine for the last 2 weeks and I cannot find any faults with it. I'm an 8-cup at one time kinda girl, but this coffeemaker makes up to 12 cups, which means I can share with others. If you want great coffeemaker that makes a delicious brew, then I really recommend this one!!

Coffee maker is reasonably priced with several desirable features. I like that it is compact so doesn't take up too much space on the counter. It is easy to operate and the timed brew is a great convenience. Having auto shut off is important as I always forget otherwise. I like how you can choose the strength of the coffee and cleaning the coffee maker is easy as well. Makes a smooth cup of coffee and brew time is quite. Very satisfied with with coffee maker.

I have used this for awhile now coming from a pod maker. I don't get the reviews saying this makes the best cup of coffee. I have used many drip makers in my life and this one is no different than any I have ever used. Its drip coffee. No better flavor than any other drip maker. It does brew sloooow. No fast pot of coffee here but thats not a big issue. This is lightweight and feels cheaply ( but sturdily) made. I expected better from the brand. It was a great discounted price and if it is when you are looking for a new maker, go ahead and it get it. It makes a fine pot of coffee but don't believe the miracle reviews of it being the best you ever had.

If my coffee does not pull a switchblade on me in the morning, it is not strong enough. This coffee maker delivers a crisp, clean, and deeply rich cup of coffee and is an excellent replacement to the previous contender. The permanent filter basket is by far the best I have seen and even though I literally fill this thing to the top, no grinds in my coffee. (Cafe Bustelo - Awesome expresso grind coffee, but there is no 12 step program once you are addicted... You have been warned) :) Good quality, and I highly recommend it.

Used it for the first time today. Worked well, fairly quiet. I may have thought twice if I realized it uses a cone filter. It comes with a permanent one, but I had purchased 700 basket filters from Amazon recently. Hopefully, the permanent filter holds up. I saw a recommendation to buy basket filters when buying this coffee maker- wrong! Only other problem, was Amazon lowered the price substantially the day we received ours- Also, have not seen any specific Mueller replacement parts, carafes or filters available.

This coffee maker was an awesome buy. That concerned me because, as they say, "you get what you pay for." I am glad I took the chance. The black and chrome design looks awesome on my counter. The coffee tastes great and it works perfectly. I can even preset it so my coffee is waiting for me when I wake up in the morning and there is no worries ,if I turned it off before leaving tge house and it comes with a built in basket for the coffee grounds, so there is no need to purchase filters. I recommend this coffee maker for anyone who wants a basis, inexpensive, easy to use coffee. Machine.

First pot brewed was fine, second, third and fourth... not so much. The water does not drain quickly enough, so constantly overflows and the grinds end up in the pot. The filter for the coffee is too deep, so the water doesn’t pick up the flavor and the coffee grinds becomes a brick, that you have to dig out, to wash and or refill. I did not have a great experience with this brands pod coffee machine, but because of the price, thought I’d give it a second chance.

Initially attracted to it's appearance and Austrian engineering, and also the price, it is quite a disappointment to share that 5 hours after receiving it, the entire experience with this mueller coffee maker is aweful. Firstly, i was supposed to receive it the day after it shipped, (wow! Ill have it in a cpl days, i thought - wrong!) it shipped a week after the order, then it took a week in shipping (yes, i know, covid, riots, etc; sure, very valid reasons why it took so long). That was my first indication. Now, i do understand that one gets what they pay for, though it was almost shocking to see the cheap, flimsy plastic that is comparable to one of those cheap, 2-cup makers in motel rooms. I was definitely deceived by the sturdy, stainless steel appearance of the photo, and by my own naive disillusion that all things Austrian must be made well, this mueller coffee pot is not made well. Before i share the worst part, ill add that the mr. coffee, of comparable price that i owned previously, is made of much sturdier plastic that doesn’t smell like it’s burning... which leads me to the major bummer: I’ve spent 5 hours cleaning this thing, this mueller coffee maker, by running water through it, running vinegar, trying so hard to make this burning plastic smell go away. And it remains. Still. After over a dozen runs. I briefly, mistakenly, thought that i’d solved the smell problem, but it remains, i did not solve it. There is no way i will ever drink coffee from this pot, nor serve it to guests nor loved ones, as it smells overwhelmingly and disturbingly like toxic, melting plastic. Valuable lessons learned: 1. Just cause it’s Austrian does not mean that it is made with quality engineering and parts. 2. Read reviews when available before purchase (i did not, unfortunately, or I’d not be writing this one. 3. One gets what one pays for, but sometimes equally priced items are not of equal quality (hands down, mr. coffee is a better product). 4. Before replacing an item i think is broken, research troubleshooting methods (learned through trying to deal with this mueller thing that flushing my mr. coffee with vinegar made it work again, it was clogged, not broken!) If anybody refrains from the loss of time & money, and from hassle and annoyance, because of reading this very honest review, then a positive, just one, came from this experience. Disappointing, i totally thought i was on to this hip European company that had quality products at budget and student-friendly prices, and was already planning on checking out other products from their line, as i thought from the photo that the design was smart and attractive. I am very surprised, and alarmed frankly, that such a cheap plastic would be allowed to be used in the manufacture of food/beverage grade prepraration equipment. Also noticed that bad reviews had generic, carbon copied AI “call us and we’ll fix it” responses, not even a genuine note of apology from mueller’s reps. Like, why would i want a replacement, unless it’s of better quality, and do they even have that? Before even opening the box, I unwisely wrote a prematurely positive review for this mueller coffee maker, as I was promised a milk frothier as a patronage gift and thought that a good review would be a nice thank you gesture. The review was written with high hopes of the coffee maker being a pleasing new brand discovery, and I wrote what I was genuinely expecting It’s disappointing that I wasn’t able to post that one, and I feel like an unwise consumer for sure. how attractive the photo appeared compared to the reality of the product is a good point to consider for all future purchases of unfamiliar brands or products. This was definitely a learning experience. It would seem like a good idea for mueller to step it up a cpl notches and upgrade their plastic, raising the price accordingly. It would be a worthy move for their brand and reputation. Frankly, I think there is potential for this company to be a trendy favorite if made with a more durable plastic that doesn’t smell incessantly like a smoldering chemical plant. I hope they do, otherwise some good design work is compromised.

Have only had the coffee maker for a day but it works as stated. The brew strength options, timer, and permanent filter are all great options especially for the price. I did brew 3 pots of water initially to try to remove the plastic smell. The first pot afterward did have a slight smell still. Other than that which I'm sure we'll wear off, it's fantastic.

I wish I had read various reviews before I purchased. The first time I used it, I smelled strong plastic fumes. This seems unsafe for my health.

I have never ever ever had an issue with a coffeemaker in my entire life. I could have gotten a Mr. Coffee basic model from the grocery store that would be cheaper and far more superior than this ridiculous thing! I tried everything to make it work- this thing is a joke! i already threw out the box in recycling so I basically am screwed. Amazon needs to know about this because it looks like there are several issues. I will never order a Mueller product again.

It's a solid coffee maker, but everything on it just feels cramped. The thumb hold, to open the lid on the pot...not quite big enough to push it down without using just the tip of your thumb (awkward when you're trying to fill it. The water reservoir...Just an inch or so too narrow all the way around (can never dump all the water out of the pot because there is no more room to tip it up.) Lastly the lid, mixed with the narrow water reservoir, just, it's enough to annoy, but not enough to completely bash th thing. Like I said, it's a solid coffee maker and the price is great, just be prepared to be mildly annoyed. Even the ring is JUST sized enough to get the pot on, so make sure you have it all the way on or your coffee won't heat right on the burner.

I must have read a hundred reviews before buying this coffee pot. It was the only coffee maker under $50.00 bucks that had a 5 star rating. Not sure where those ratings are coming from. After a month of daily use and multiple cleanings with vinegar and soap and water every cup of coffee tastes like cheap plastic. The ‘strong brew’ button makes it a little better but not much. Even non-picky coffee drinkers and guests have mentioned it. We decided to put this one on the shelf for emergencies and invest in a stove top all stainless steel coffee maker. Unless you like your coffee to taste and smell like plastic, look for another economical coffee making option. This one looks impressive on the counter but disappoints in every way. Not hot enough and bad tasting and produces lousy tasting coffee no matter what brand or grind you use. Sorry I wasted my money.

Looks good, but the coffee maker doesn't have a good brewing system or warming plate. Coffee comes out barely hot and cools off so quickly that you have to reheat it right away in the microwave. Didn't expect a perfect cup of coffee from this coffee pot, as it was just a regular drip coffee maker. With this brand I was taking a chance that it would be better than other's in this price range....but I would not recommend this item. I also made the mistake of buying the extended warranty on it, which I probably won't use as it would take too much time and money to deal with it! I may have gotten a Lemon, but if this is how all Mueller UltraBrew coffee makers work, I DO NOT recommend purchasing this one!

This is a very basic coffee maker, for the price you can’t beat it if you’re an occasional coffee drinker. I couldn’t give if 5 stars for two reasons. One, the coffee could be hotter. I feel like it’s not stay as hot as I would like, but it does get the job done. I think it’s the heating element under the pot that isn’t strong enough. Two, the coffee pot (glass) itself gets so dirty fast And stains, my old coffee pot didn’t do that. If you are a heavy coffee drinker like me, you may want to spend more money on a better coffee maker.

I LOVE this coffee maker! I purchased it because it had a variable brew strength. I had decided that I wanted stronger coffee and started my search for a new drip coffeemaker. The first thing I liked about this one was it's price. Many makers were a lot more money.

When I received this coffee maker, I immediately noticed that the cord was at least 6 inches longer than other cords i have used. My electrical outlet is in the corner of my kitchen counter, and my old coffee makers cords barely reached out from under the upper cupboards. This cord reaches beyond the upper cupboards, making emptying the grounds much easier. The second item I noticed was that the carafe has cup measurements on both sides of pot. That is very convenient for left and right hand clients. The third outstanding feature is that it doesn't need filters. And, last but not least, the strong brew coffee tastes wonderful. Do yourself a BIG favor and buy this coffee maker!

We've ran a ton of vinegar through it and switched to paper filters. It still has an incredibly strong plastic smell to it. Now when I'm trying to look up information on "Mueller" website I can't find it listed. Starting to get very suspicious about this coffee pot. With that said it does work great, and the timer is helpful. I just wish it wasn't so alarming how sketchy this product is, and I can't find something to show this is made with BPA free plastics.

As our whole household started working from home recently, I thought it might be wise to make a small investment on coffee maker so we could all save the daily coffee purchase. And I’m very happy with how simple and easy it is to set up and use. The timer feature is important so that by the time we get up in the morning, the coffee has just freshly made for us, saving us not only money but also time!

Cannot recommend an appliance that stops working after two uses! Hot plate didn't heat up. No water drip. None of the control, except hour/minute worked (although the lights did go on.)

The 4/5 star rating is based on usage. The two shortcomings I found are: - Too lightweight - unit moves if I try to push buttons or even open the top lid - The water tank is difficult to clean - but I think it's not uncommon from a lot of coffee makers out there - The water tank is not removable, as it says on the product description point #3 Overall it is easy to use. The buttons are straightforward and the coffee maker does what it says. you cannot expect more than this from a $30 coffee maker. The following is the flavor review/question and I do not recommend anyone reading make a judgement on the flavor from the following review: I used to brew with a French press and coffee makers are new to me. Every time I tried with this coffee maker, it's giving a me a very bitter flavor (it's bitter and watery even when less coffee ground is used). I think it's not the coffee maker's fault, it's just I'm not using the right amount of ground to water ratio. Can anyone tell me what is the perfect ratio for water to coffee ground (based on the markings on this pot and the spoon provided)? I'm using Starbucks Pike Place ground and I'm trying to create a diner-like flavor. I take cream (usually evaporated milk) and sugar with my coffee, my wife takes only evaporated milk. Here are some of the things I tried: - 6 spoons of ground with water marking a little over 4 on. Brewed exactly to the marking 4 on the carafe. Used the filter provided. Result: bitter, but it somewhat had the right density. - 2 spoons of ground with water marketing a little over 2. Brewed a little over the silver lining on the carafe. Used regular paper filters (for 8-12 cups). Result: bitter with not enough density (watery).

Just received this coffee maker. The plastic piece that affixes the lid to the carafe was broken so that the lid would not affix securely to the carafe. The product box was very worn. I would not be able to give this as a gift given the shabby condition of the box. Even the little product booklet was torn. It looks like I received somebody’s damaged return. I thought about requesting a replacement but I don’t want to risk receiving another returned product. I’m so disappointed.

Look no further!! I LOVE this coffee maker! I read the reviews and one stands out to me .... the customer complained of a plastic smell/taste ....the instructions say to run several pots of water through first which I did and the smell was gone and we have really great tasting coffee!! It also looks impressive on the kitchen counter!! You can use a paper #2 cone filter if you want and more of the pieces inside come out for cleaning. It is easy to set up and program. I have no complaints at all!!

Have never written a review and have purchased hundreds of things off of Amazon - but feel the need to actually warn my fellow humans here: EVERY POT TASTES LIKE BURNT TOXIC PLASTIC! When the black plastic parts heat up they give off an unpalatable, chemical odor that also infects the coffee. I ran water through it 4 times, rinsed all of the parts in the sink and brewed several pots over the course of 3 days. I still can smell the burnt plastic fumes wafting from my mug and the machine itself. Un-quaffable. If it tastes that toxic, probably best to trust your tongue - who know what chemicals are seeping into the coffee. Had to go out and buy McD's coffee yesterday and will today while I wait for my Mr. Coffee to arrive in its place. Pretty major oversight on the part of the design team. If anyone rated this above 1 star they must be missing tastebuds and lack a sense of smell. (Unless I just happened to receive a defective product from the one assembly line where a giant batch of toxic waste dumped into the plastic mix and they just kept cranking them out.)

Cant' beat the price. Seems high quality, easy controls. Big capacity even though I normally brew only a couple of cups. I just wanted something besides the Keurig 2.0 which I ended up hating for the fact the "injection" needle continually clogs with grounds, even when I run clear water right after a coffee pod. It's just chronic so I went back to a drip maker using freshly ground coffee. This has a permanent filter basket that's easy to clean and the coffee comes out at a perfect temperature and stays warm for 2 hours if you like. Just got it but there is nothing not to like especially at this price.

Received my coffee pot 3 days ago. Like the look of it, nice clean lines and modern. Read the easy to follow straight forward instructions. Made a pot of coffee which had awesome flavor. I had been using a pot that stores and keeps the water hot but it was old and seemed to not work as well. So,I am trying this kind of drip coffee maker. It does take longer then the heated tank pot, about 8 to 10 minutes to fully complete. Like the fact I can pour a cup before it is fully done and coffee flow stops while I was doing so. The temperature of the heated water seemed to be just right to make a strong flavor. That is the key for a good pot, HOT water. I find I am using less coffee grounds in this pot the the more expensive tank one, good on the budget. Overall a great drip coffee maker for the price.

I bought this because I liked the fact it had a removable water reservoir. It does not! I reported to Amazon since this could throw others off as well. As far as the coffee maker, it's similar to my Mr Coffee. Nothing great about it

We purchased this after breaking the coffee carafe on a Ninja coffee maker and could not find a replacement. I chose this one for a couple of reasons. I wanted a coffee maker with a permanent coffee filter (no need to buy paper filters), something that could be programmed and make up to 12 cups of coffee. The price of this maker was a bonus and the the warranty is awesome. (hopefully the warranty will not be needed!). It is compact so makes a small footprint on the counter. It quickly brews a pot of coffee and has the stop/pause feature if you can't wait. The only difference I see between this and the Ninja is that this does not keep the coffee as hot as the Ninja did. If it did that would make this the absolute perfect coffee maker. With that being said I would still rate it a 9 out of 10 and would buy it again

OMG this has been a lifesaver! I'm usually a french press girl, but I just had a baby and I can not get that morning coffee fast enough! It is so hard to get away right now to make coffee in the press, and with this pots timer I wake up to ready made hot coffee! Amazing. Not only that but it has a button for extra strong brew, after a long night with the new baby, yes, please! The coffee maker even has a reusable coffee filter, so no wasteful paper filters! The 12 cup capacity means I can make enough for me and my guy on the weekend too! Solid postpartum purchase that I'm sure we'll be using for a long time! Oh, and it came with a cute little coffee measuring scoop too! :)

This is one of those very rare times where I feel high reviews on Amazon have led my astray on a purchase. This pot had high marks across the board so I bought it, and I'm pretty disappointed with the cheap design. Let me run down the positives first: 1) Simple to use and it doesn't drip. Pours clean. 2) Has a timer setting (essential) 3) Coffee tastes reasonably good 4) Shuts off after 2 hours All pretty standard features for a $40 coffee pot. Works just like a Mr. Coffee would. Good? Well. . . Not really. Here comes the bad, and I'm comparing this unit to my last basic Mr. Coffee unit that lasted me 5 years, which had NONE of these issues: 1) This one, and its a BIG one for me, every pot of coffee I make with this SMELLS LIKE PLASTIC when I pull the full carafe of fresh coffee off of the unit to pour. I brewed several pots of just water through this until when I first bought it, have made at least 10 pots of coffee, and it STILL SMELLS LIKE PLASTIC when its done brewing. This concern was further heightened by. . . 2) A Chintzy design. This pot REEKS "CHEAP" to me in every way. Everything minus the flashy silver facade is plastic. The netting in the reusable filter is PLASTIC, which is FAR worse in my opinion than using a paper filter. The glass carafe feels THIN and fragile. Additionally, customer support seems non-existent. There's no replacement parts available online the Mueller website is barebones at best. If I broke this carafe a year from now I'm imagining I'd have to chuck the whole thing. 3) Again, a design issue. The steaming pot when brewing allows condensation to form ON the electronic controls of the front of the unit. I could very easily see this moisture frying the controls after 200+ pots of coffee. We'll see. 4) It brews LOUD and SLOW... Much louder and much slower than my previous Mr. Coffee machine. In summation this is a simplistic, easy to use, bottom entry coffee pot with a timer. Its inferior to the Mr. Coffee pots of comparable price. The smell of plastic and the overall amount plastic in the build is very concerning. You will at minimum want to buy an actual steel mesh filter to replace the plastic mesh because I don't know about you, I AIN'T USING THAT. There are so many Mr. Coffee pots out there the availability of replacement parts and carafes is total, and I'm not sure you're going to get the same level of product support from this company. I wish I could have made a different choice. This unit is poorly designed.

For a $25.00 coffee pot, this is good, probably great. Looks very nice, but if you are accustomed to a pricier quality coffee pot, you will definitely know the difference. It brewed coffee quickly, but did not produce a quality taste, this pot did not get the water hot enough.

Great little coffee maker. Doesn't take up a lot of space. Doesn't leak. Has a permanent filter which I like. Has strength control and delayed timer. Does what its suppose to. Worth every penny.

Great machine for the price. Taste much better than Mr coffee(my previous one broke within less than a year) Timer, keep warm, auto shut off work as they should be. For this price range, attached water tank is fair, but cleaning water tank area isn’t easy due to design. But so far very happy with this. Just hope this will last longer than Mr Coffee.

This is a great machine for the price. It is attractive, easy to use, and makes good coffee. I'm very happy I purchased it.

I only have three suggestions to make it a better machine. Keep in mind, though, for the price this is already one heck of a machine and the coffee it makes is great!

This is a great machine for the price. It is attractive, easy to use, and makes good coffee. I'm very happy I purchased it. I only have three suggestions to make it a better machine. Keep in mind, though, for the price this is already one heck of a machine and the coffee it makes is great! 1) Put rubber feet on the bottom. The machine has hard plastic feet. The machine is also super light weight. Since you have to touch the buttons on the top face to start making coffee, each time I do the machine moves on my counter. I don't really want to adjust it so it isn't crooked every time I make coffee, but it looks like I'll have to unless I find some rubber feet to add to it. 2) The face lights up a cool shade of blue when you touch buttons on the machine, but only for a little while. Walking into my kitchen, I can't see the clock as it isn't illuminated. Now I have to turn around and look at my microwave or touch a button to illuminate the clock on the coffee maker. 3) My old coffee maker beeped when the coffee was done being made. This one does not. Granted, this one is also inexpensive so you can't have everything at this price point. Not a deal breaker for me, but something I noticed now that I'm using it. All in all, this is a nice machine, it makes good coffee, it is not expensive for what it is, and it looks attractive on the counter. I'm glad I bought it. I've only made three pots of coffee so far, but I'm satisfied. I will be finding rubber feet to add to the bottom, but that should be inexpensive and I still feel like the coffee maker is a great value for the money.

I love this product. The design is nice, it is very simple and easy to use. It allows you to control brew strength so that you can make your perfect coffee flavor. You can even pour coffee during the brew, which is cool. I like the removable water reservoir, it makes it much easier to fill it with water. All in all, a nice coffee maker, I just received it so I'll need to test it more.

I am very happy with this coffee maker, I feel the coffee is very good, very hot when fresh out of the carafe, and it does very well and being an easy unit to use. The carafe is heavy, solid and fits snugly inside of the unit, I have had no leaks and don't expect any. Programming is easy with this machine. All in all, my wife and I are both satisfied with this coffee maker and we will buy one as a gift for her parents.
