Our poppers are among the best-selling items in our microwave line, and it's no wonder they're so pop-ular--they work like a charm, yet require no oil! Our poppers are made using a propriety material that is BPA and Melamine-free. The raw material resembles white clay, and is soft to the touch. It is carefully cut and weighed by hand before it gets molded. Next, it is placed into a compression molding machine, which combines hydraulic pressure with heat to trigger a curing process. The material 'bakes' and cures inside of the press for just a minute at around 450 degrees F. This material is what differentiates our poppers from other less expensive ones on the market---ours are actually oven safe to 400 degrees F forever once they're cured, so they never melt. Once the curing process has completed, the press opens, and the popper comes out. Each popper goes through a hand-finishing process by one of our skilled craftspeople to smooth and trim the edges before being paired up with a clear lid.

Sometimes more kernels are popped than at other times. Will continue to use as it is the best corn popper I've had.

My microwave oven just does not this popcorn bowl. It takes approx. 4 min. before any grains actually pop. Only about 50% of the grain actually pop after 8 min. Any longer and the whole mess starts to burn. I doubt that its my microwave cause it does great on popcorn bags in just 3 min.

It was an easy purchase. Picked up at store - free ship. love the popper. the dome top makes it easy to see the popcorn, and collects any and all without falling out of the bowl.

Pops the kernels up well and if you're careful it doesn't burn . I've found that it takes about 2.5 minutes to pop 1/2 cup of kernels. I do use a couple tbsp. of oil in the bottom. Easy clean up.

The popcorn comes out less oily and more fully popped than using a stove top pan.

On 2017-Dec.09 I bought a Nordic Ware microwave popcorn maker "bowel", Walmart item #1117260120, (older version?) similar to to one in the photo but with a flat top, at Walmart Super Store #3040, Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. The first time I tried it and it worked great, I did add a little oil, {with out any burning!}, and only about a dozen dud, un-popped kernels. The second batch, I use the most common name brand "non-stck" cooking spray, a little more popcorn(1/4 cup) than recommended, and a full 4 minutes on "High". There were a few darkened popcorn pieces, but for myself, I like those :) ! So my guess if the one in this photo is also a Nordic Ware product, it'll be O.K.! So,with out any reservation {Used as/per directions!} I wholeheartedly recommend the complete line Nordic Ware microwave popcorn maker, trust me you won't be disappointed!

This may just be the most used item in my kitchen. We all know by now that the store packaged microwave popcorn is just loaded with chemicals and ingredients we can't pronounce. Why do that to ourselves? This microwave popper is just so convenient. You add about 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels, 1 tsp. of cooking oil to the bowl. Then put the lid on the bowl and place it in the microwave. I set my microwave for 4 minutes but usually will stop the process when there is about a minute and forty seconds left. Of course you want to pay attention to the popping sounds and once it slows down stop the process. Be careful as the bowl can get quite HOT. Once complete I will usually sprinkle the popcorn with sea salt or Club House garlic plus then I wrestle with my partner to try and get my hand in the bowl again.
