We have only used this a couple time but have loved it so far. Make sure you let the kettle heat up enough to get the most from your kernels. Clean up takes some time but worth it in my opinion.

This model is a dud. Kernels get stuck under the stirring arm then it shakes from side to side then it shuts down. I am waiting for it to blow up. Will be returning this item.

Father's Day gift for my husband. Friends have had one VERY similar to this for YEARS. It still works wonderfully. First popping, majority of kernels did NOT pop. Went to Walmart and bought 2 DIFFERENT BRANDS of popcorn. Tried one of each. Either close to half of kernels did not pop, or, kernels popped 75% or more BUT, were scorched. Packed it up and returned it the next day. Perhaps this was just a fluke because we are always very satisfied with Walmart purchases. We went back to microwave popcorn, which is cheaper and LESS CLEAN-UP! Sorry, but, would NOT recommend this popcorn maker.

Works as expected. Pops corn well and contains popped corn for easy scooping. Difficult to put remeasured packages of oil, salt and popcorn into kettle because of limited space. Difficult to clean small kettle without taking apart. About half of the kernels are pushed out of the kettle from the popping action, leaving a lot of unpopped kernels on the bottom. Needs holes in the bottom and a tray to recover the un-popped kernels, but that would have added to the cost. Overall, a good price for a fun evening of watching a rented DVD or, as I am using it, for Family Movie Night at a small church.

We bought the machine for our daughter's birthday party. It was cheaper than an hour rental from our local party suppliers. We have had it less than a week and have already used it twice. So much better than microwave popcorn.

Site to Store delivery excellent. In addition to tea/cookies, etc. I wanted the machine for the children/adults attending my annual "Garden Party". I am extremely familiar operating popcorn machines but was unable to test the machine prior to putting it into service. The kettle would not heat up. For appearance, I filled the machine with the corn I popped in the house. I was extremely disappointed!!! Yes, I returned it. No, I will not purchase another.

I have to say our popper is used every day for the kids! Makes family movie night @home awesome! Just like theater popcorn!!!!

I purchased this as a Christmas gift. I found that you should let the machine warm up for 5 -10 minutes before beginning. Following another reviewer's advice, I used twice the amount of oil and that worked better. Also, I am going to use another's idea and get a couple of small magnets to hold down the basket doors so when the corn begins to pop the kernels won't push the doors open and fly out not popped. The only thing I don't like is that it is not the easiest thing to clean up. I will put a piece of tin foil on the bottom to help catch some of the mess. I would definitely recommend this product.

Very nice looking machine. The kids love it, easy to use. Adults enjoy it too. Fun to watch it make popcorn, easy to clean.

I started with another popcorn maker & took it back for this one. More room to hold the corn & a slightly bigger kettle. Unfortunately, the spring in the kettle was lose & I've ordered another but I plan on keeping this model. There are over 270 reviews of this machine(with wheels)for some really explicit directions. I have found it is better to let it heat only a minute or two. The kettle is double-walled, you can't feel how hot it is by touching the outside. If you overheat the kettle the corn is tough. I use coconut oil, let it heat till it's melted and dump in the corn. Lots of people have stated more oil is better, I disagree but that's a matter of preference. If the "old maids" bother you USE LESS CORN to start with! Some people put magnets on the kettle doors, might be good. I just love this thing, it pops plenty of corn for our small family & all the birds waiting outside.
