After the first time I used it, the top already has cracks in it. I bought the Orville Redenbacher's popcorn and oil. I followed the recipe exactly but the popcorn was chewy.

This is my 2nd purchase of this identical product. My 1st popper, bought about a year ago, popped corn flawlessly. However, midway through it's life, the plastic bowl started developing cracks until it finally was no longer glue able. The manufacturer would sell me a replacement for about the price of the complete product. Instead, I purchased a new complete popper from you on 8/20/14 with the intention of giving it extremely gentle treatment to ensure its longevity. My shock is that after the first use, the lid is already developing cracks. After only one use. This is unacceptable! What do you advise me to do? Thank you for your help.

I had a hand-me-down Stir Crazy Popper for years, and replaced the popping lid once before the heat element finally gave out. I got in a hurry and picked up the Presto at Walmart about a year and half ago. The top developed cracks, which super glue held only for a short time, and now it looks like spider webs with all the cracks. Too bad Orville Redenbacher's name is on it. I'll be going back to the Stir Crazy.
