Very good purchase its just what we needed to replace our old microwave of approx 20 years.. We have only had this unit a short time. So far we have not had any problems. This microwave is very similar to the old model a Panasonic also. It appears that thin is a good brand.

Bought to replace same size 'Emerson' as it looked identical but different name. Turns out, mechanically yes, operationally NOT. The touch pad menu is painful to use. Too complicated. NO 'instant cook" functions, i.e. 2 = 2 minutes. NO inside light when door is opened. Only when cooking. NOT HAPPY with a hard to use appliance. But yeah, it does cook good once you figure it all out.

I purchased this Panasonic microwave based on two things - name recognition and the sensor cooking feature. Panasonic really dropped the ball on this one. The sensor feature is very hard to figure out (it doesn't tell you on the keypad what it's doing,) hard to use (you have to guess the weight of what you're cooking,) and doesn't include popular sensor features such as poultry, fish, canned foods, etc. Now for the missing features - no interior light when you open the door, you can't use the kitchen timer feature and cook at the same time, and no one-touch buttons such as 1-6 minutes or 30 seconds, (you have to key in the time and press start every time; just like it was 1980!) After two weeks of this, I took it back to Walmart and got my money. I now have a GE Sensor Microwave with all the right features and I'm very happy.

It works well, but it doesn't have the little things. The light only works well cooking. There is no vent inside so you have to leave it open so it doesn't get moldy inside. Its quite loud. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
