Magic Chef 1.1 Cu. Ft. 1000W Countertop Microwave Oven with Stylish Door Handle, Black

I love this microwave. It heats really well fast. It doesn't make a lot of noise. It does... I had to return this item because the dimension in the description is different than it show in the Amazon Listing. It is 2 inch smaller in length, 2 inch smaller in width and 2 inch smaller in height.

6th microwave in 3 mos. I like this one. Drawbacks are the door button was very hard to push at 1st but got easier after abt a wk. Kitchen timer stays on display but microwave can not be used while timer is on and can stop it at any time. Quick buttons which is a plus. Very powerful.

So far I am very happy with this microwave. This microwave is very nice looking. It cooks fast and has several nice features. The glass turn table is large, a nice 12”. I’ve read other reviews where it says the door is hard to open. But there is a couple of notches located right below where you push, clear underneath the microwave. You just have to hook a finger into one of those notches and push the button. Then it opens super slick and easy! It has my favorite feature and that is the 30 second button. I won’t get a microwave without that button. It’s quick buttons are a bit different. You just hit the button the number of times you need. The beverage button has options for 1, 2 or 3 cups. And it’s dinner plate button has options for 3 plate sizes. I’ve used the soup button the most, it has options according to ounces and it seems to be pretty accurate in it’s preset heating times. For a large bowl of soup I just hit the soup button 4 times then hit start. I haven’t tried the popcorn or pizza quick buttons yet. But according to the instructions you can reprogram and save the popcorn cooking times if it’s not what you want. That will be nice since most of the microwaves I’ve had always burn my popcorn with their preset time. There’s also fresh vegetable and frozen vegetable buttons. It has express cook where you push 1 for 1 min or 2 for 2 mins, etc. It has a kitchen timer. It has a time defrost and a weight defrost. It beeps 5 times to let you know when it’s done and the beeps are not real loud. It’s a little louder than my last microwave but it doesn’t bother me. There is a light that turns on when you open the door and when it’s cooking. While looking at the front, you see vents on the top back left, left side lower back, and the right side on the back. The cord is 3 ft long.

I've owned this Magic Chef 1.1 cu ft microwave just under 2 weeks; It is working good so far. My food gets hot, it has a turntable and the light comes on when cooking. It also has a couple other features that I like. It has a kitchen timer and it allows you to choose the ounce size when popping popcorn. It's accurate and I can see the dials easily. It's pretty roomy inside; it fits a full size dinner plate and a huge mixing bowl. The only downfall is that it moves on the counter and the button to open the door is very firm. You just have to brace your fingers on the side as you open with your thumb or brace your hand on the top of the door while pushing the button. It is also a little noisy when it first comes on but so far these features are not a deal breaker for me because I've read a lot of worse reviews when shopping for a microwave and this one is the best one for my money so far! I will update if there are any changes in it's performance!

When our 16 year old Sharp died we were lost. Went on-line to shop & compare. This unit is the best "bang for your buck". Push-button door is fine. Our old oven had one and was still "buttoning" when it passed away. We did'nt understand why it took a little over 2 weeks to get to our store but that's life.

I love Magic Chef brand and have had other appliances by that company, but this microwave wasn't a good experience. We had it 3 days and while heating some water, I heard a pop noise. Then it stopped heating. I returned it to the store. To be fair however, it is our 3rd microwave in six years at this house. In checking around, I was told that a microwave needs a dedicated outlet to work best and we have not had that here. Sounds like an electrician is the next step just in case that's the problem and then I'll try the Magic Chef brand again. So, I would still recommend this manufacturer and appliance to a friend and gave it that rating above.

This microwave has all the features that a person could want. You can program the time you want as well as use the speed button with the time already programed in. I have found no problems with the microwave performance. The timer bell could be louder, if you are no in the same room you can not hear when it goes off. Its a good product. This was a replacement and I only had it for a few weeks to review. That is why I am giving it a 4 star.

I read others reviews on this product. The negative reviews were that the door is hard to open, loud to close and the beeping went to excess when done cooking something saying that 5 beeps are way too long and way too loud. People complained that there is no way to turn off the beeping and that it has to go through 5 beeps before ending a cook schedule. I found that under the door release button there is an area you can grasp with your index and middle finger and push on the door release button with your thumb. I found the door opens quite easily this way. Even though the door shuts a little loud, the fact that the microwave runs smoothly and quietly is more of an important feature to me. As far as the excessive 5 beeps go, I haven't found it to be any louder than any of the other microwaves I have owned. Their average number of beeps were 3. We did not find the extra 2 beeps hard to get used to.

The microwave was a replacement one for my father (who does very little "cooking" of any kind at home). It will mainly be used when family visits him for reheating meals, making popcorn, etc. It was a little smaller than I expected, mainly because I didn't remember what size he had. On first use, I was a little frustrated that inputting a cooking time wasn't simple - it's all programmed for specific items or 30-second increments. However, it was a great price and will be fine for his purposes.

This is the second Microwave we bought in a month from Walmart. The first was a GE and there was several issues. Glass round plate jumped, LED lights some not working, open button didn't work half the time. We returned and bought this one Magic Chef. This one is nice as far as looks, size, buttons, but the housing was not put together correctly and it makes this real loud vibrating sound when working. Also, I was a little disappointed with the black screen front, you can not see the food cooking, so we will return this one also. I liked this one and it was a manufacture flaw when they put it together, so I will try again "I think" with same model, hoping this will be the last time. Luckly our old microwave is still working, otherwise I would be a little more upset. Be sure to open your microwave right away to check it out!

I have owned several Magic Chef 1.1 cu ft microwaves over the years and found them to be reliable and easy to use. The controls are easy to master and a full sized plate fits easily. My only beef is that the door slams closed with a very LOUD clank, which was easily fixed with thin self-adhesive rubber non-slip pads for vases, etc.. A couple of those, on the body of the microwave where the door closes on it ,dampens the sound. I just bought this one to replace my old Magic Chef that expired after 7+ years of daily use. For the money this is the best deal out there on medium sized microwaves and ship to store had it in my hands in 4 days after ordering it. I recommend the Magic Chef to my friends and aquaintances.
