For the price, you can't find a better workhorse of an expresso maker than the Bella. This is my third one. With care and regular cleaning of residue buildup on the interior plumbing, each of the machines has lasted 2-3 years with almost daily use. When it does fail, the Achilles Heel has been the plastic steam-brew switch, which begins to tighten up and become hard to turn, and eventually it snaps when force is applied to operate it. It's not clear why this happens or how it can be prevented by cleaning, lubrication or some other way. If the manufacturer can solve that problem (maybe it's planned obsolescence), the Bella would be a champ.

I just bought this Bella and received it in the mail 4 days ago and made my first cup yesterday the froth worked fine noisy a.. h... but it worked. Today it doesn't work at all. I cleaned it took the two parts off and steamed water instead of milk to remove any blockage like the numerous reviews I looked at online mentioned. Still it has not worked. I'm frustrated and no longer know what to do. This was the worst buy of my life.

Why would I recommend this product to a friend when it only made me one cup of coffee then broke down on me. Also to top it off the glass cup arrived chipped. Ugh

I gave this as a gift, and my husband loves it!. Super affordable to have such strong steam...much better cup of espresso that the low end 15 bar pump makers that cost a lot more. Heats up fast.

We have had a similar Bella machine, but it broke so we bought this as a replacement. All is well, but the coffee strainer difficult to turn into place. We tried another Bella model (very similar), but it had the same exact issue. This review is no reflection on WalMart, as this a manufacturing issue.

I had been unable to find a replacement for my Krups espresso maker until I saw the Bella on the Walmart website. It is the same size and the price was great.

Machine is good but doesn't have enough pressure to get creamy expresso shot. Will do if your on a budget, but if you can afford it I'd get a higher quality one.

I'll keep this short. The espresso maker worked adequately for the first year, then simply quit in the middle of making a pot of espresso, two weeks after the warranty expired. It has a poor build quality, mostly evidenced by the cheap switch. (Reviews on other sites indicate this is a primary point of failure). In addition, many people report a plastic smell in the coffee brewed with this machine. I didn't notice it until the last few months before it quit working, but there is a warning in the manual that the plasticizer can ruin your counter and to use a mat underneath it. An appliance is a durable good, which means by definition it should last at least 3 years. As so many people have found out, this product does not last.

I bought this after my Mr. Coffee cappuccino machine broke. After I brought it home and read some negative reviews, I was concerned. But then I made my first cappuccino (after priming it), and it was delicious! And so much easier to use than the Mr. Coffee! Sometimes I couldn't use the knobs on the Mr. C. with the strange shape and my hands hurting with arthritis. Nice design on this one. Very happy with my purchase. No problems with overheating that I had seen in other reviews.

This is not your fancy, expensive espresso machine. But I was very impressed for the price and the results. Like most coffeemakers nowadays the plastic smell is very strong at first. I always rinse/clean more than is suggested. After a couple of tries, the smell lessened. I was impressed at the quality of machine for the price - I was expecting much worse. The only thing I would say they need to fix on this would be the steamer nozzle should be out further as it is VERY close to the machine making it hard to swirl your cup of milk. It makes a great tasting cappuccino!!
