Probably don't need to make a full pot unless you are going to share. Really keeps the coffee warm through the workday and is easy to clean and maintain. I love this thing.

Just used it's for the first time today. Wonderful to not have to use two separate presses to fill up 2 large mugs.

The filter is terrible. It's a shame because the container shows the typical Stanley quality, but the filter/lid does not keep the coffee grains from the liquid, no matter how carefully and slowly you may try. I have purchased and used many French press coffee makers before, and this is the worst in terms of its performance.

Bought this to take camping with our family. Tried it at home first. Kept it hot for at least 4 hours between when it was made and when our daughter woke up.

Wow, pretty junky product for the price! The plunger mechanism was not screwed securely together, and when it is it is crooked at the base. It only has one screen (and does NOT come with a spare), unlike just about every other product I shopped in comparison. So it does a terrible job of filtering out grounds. I've been "pressing" for decades, do it's not user error. Might be acceptable if there was a secondary screen at the pour spout, but there isn't. And for a campware product, you'd expect it to at least be able to hold up to getting knocked around or even dropped on the ground at some point. I don't think it would hold up, feels cheap. Wish I could still find the GSI version we have enjoyed for years, and want a larger volume product. Guess I'll just buy another really pretty stainless double-walled one and not worry about scratching or damaging it. Whoever doesn't get up early enough on the camp/raft trip will get stuck using this shoddy one, LOL!

I have used this both at home and outdoors. Best idea ever to have an insulated French press big enough for more than just 2x cups of joe.

Nice, a bit coarse. This is good item for the camper and kitchen. Froth your soy and enjoy. Can produce authentic froth for soy latte (better than the corner coffee shop). We get too many grounds but sorted that out as operator error. It is durable and will serve for you for years.

Love it. I have the GSI java mill to manually grind up the beans, 2-3 rounds and I got a full pot of coffee with this press. It's pretty great. I have used it car camping as well as at home. Keeps the coffee hot long enough to drink it all.

This French press is nothing short of awesome. It's my daily coffee maker. I was expecting my first glass French press to break sooner or later given my history with coffee carafes and my sink. Well my daughter beat me to it, but I wasn't upset at all when I got to purchase this bad boy! I don't think my girls can break this if they tried. Plus it makes great coffee! The fact that it's 48 oz too is way better than most other presses out there which typically average about 28-34 oz or so. If you want to only purchase one french press in your life, make it this one. Only complaint is that the lid is somewhat loud when it's not in the press but expected for a hollow piece of steel.
