Grinding Scrap Meats Into Meals

How we turned scrap meat into meals. We rounded up all the red meat in the freezer and ground it up for big meals when company comes. Hope you enjoyed this and if you found it helpful, subscribe! :)

I did not like this meat grinder because the shaft inside it didn't fit properly and allowed the meat to back up.

This is a very cheap copy of a nice grinder, the cast has so many flaws that nothing is straight, not even the mounting. I bolted to an aluminum plate and gave it a shot, grinding venison is never easy but this grinder is just poor quality. The meat just spills out the side of the auger because there's too much tolerance between the casting and auger. It is also not perfectly straight so it wobbles inside, touching a part of the wall. All in all just a poorly made unit that I will attempt to return.

The meat grinder has the capacity to grind all types of meat in different sizes for larger quantities. It has capabilities of sausage making. The only unforeseen problem is it's difficult to use unless you have a wooden surface to make holes on it for stability. We had to improvisize by putting it on a cutting board with metal clips to holding it in place. Then, with one hand holding the top of the machine and the other hand turning the handle for grinding. It's easy cleaning and disassembling the different blades. Now, we can have good ground beef and not worry about pink slime and other misc.. additives.

This is about the right size grinder for medium size jobs including deer, elk, hog--as long as the job is a single animal. It would be more durable is the bushing were metal or a bearing.

It works as described however, you need to bolt it down to something. Hand grinding is a workout.
