How should the blade be removed?
Only a portion of the blade is visible in the images.
The majority of what you see is a stationary blade cover.
A screw holding the blade cover on has a knob attached to it on the rear.
You must unscrew that knob in order to remove the blade cover in order to remove the blade.
The three screws holding the blade on are then apparent.
The blade comes off when those three screws are removed.

I bought 12 inch version and was a little shocked at the size. This will take a spot on your counter top unless you feel like lifting 70lbs.
Anyway I am very happy with the purchase. Works great. It is a job to clean but all slivers are. You will have to remove the blade to do a cleaning. Not hard just be careful. I have not used the cheap slivers and this one is quiet an upgrade.
Read some iffy reviews which made me question my purchase at first but having used it several times for Rob roast, smoked gouda, farmers cheese and homemade ham.
Worked great clean up took some time and it is now a fixture on the counter in my small kitchen but I am Happy with the functionality.
Oh and the the adjustment knob is hard to start\ break loose. Then turns smooth. Instruction manual is joke literally. You will show it to your friends. Written by a person who does not speak english.
I thought the unit was pretty basic and I can made do without the manual. Sorry I did not give a clear pros vs cons review but I wrote on the fly. I included everything I could of as I thought of it. LOL

Seriously, I love how professional everything looks when sliced with this machine. I use this for cheeses, cold cuts and even chicken. Just clean properly in between and you're golden.

Used this immediately out of the box since I was preparing a fancy cheese plate for a dinner. I love how it easily cuts cheese. I've been using it every week since and it's perfect!
