BUNN (GRB) Speed Brew Classic Coffee Maker Reviews

I have always used BUNN Coffee makers for the past 23 years. I like getting my coffee in the morning within 5 minutes! Don't have to wait for Mr Coffee for 15 minutes to brew and which lasts for at only and year or less before having to be replaced. This last BUNN lasted for 7 years! At $100 initial cost, that is less than $15 per year!

When recieved today upon opening noticed the pot was broke and unusable. Simply put in a thin plastic bag in a cardboard sleeve. No foam or bubble wrap to protect the pot during shipping. Now we still dont have a coffee maker that's usable.

Great!!, 4 minute 10 cup brew (For Real!).!!!!! I returned the other major Brand Craze Brewer , because of having to pull pot out from under cabinet,to pull Resevoir off to fill,to make a pot!!!!! (See Pic!!) we have to pull this out just a little to pour water in, but that's fine!!! Brew start pin, starts brewing when you shut Resevoir Door ( so you don't have to rush to get pot under basket) (See Pic!) You'll probably have to use a bit more grains if you have a regular brewer, because of how fast it flows through (we have to), the grain measurement in chart that came with brewer, was a bit strong for us,....but time it takes to brew a pot is like brewing two single cups of the Major Craze brewers!!!! I'd like to see them make a 12 cupper!!! Just because that's what size our worn out one was!!!! But! Go for It! Buy One!!

Have gone through four china made coffee makers in the last year. Went with U.S.A. made this time. It's the best functioning machine I've ever purchased. Coffee machine anyway. Wish stores would carry more American made products. I'm sure lots of people wouldn't mind spending a little more to support a better quality product.

So far this is the longest lasting coffee maker we've had. The only thing I wish for is a way to run cleaner through, does not seem to have that option due to the reserve in the back. Overall this makes a really fast and hot pot of coffee and it is delicious!

Fantastic purchase. I have had Bunn’s for the past 20 years both at home and bought a couple commercial ones for the office. This one is a great product. Yeah ok so it is made mostly of plastic but it is very durable and sturdy. It is compact enough to go under countertop cabinetry and does not take up a lot of space on the counter either. Makes great tasting coffee fast! Faster than its advertising. Easy to maintain and use. The pot holds 10 cups which is about 4-6 good sized coffee mugs worth. Coffee comes out piping hot as soon as the water is poured into top and the lid is closed. It has a hot plate on and off switch too in case you do not drink it fast enough :). Overall a great find and great value. Price can it be beat for a Bunn.

This is our first Bunn Coffee maker. I wish I could write two reviews! Instead I must combine my 4 star for the pros and my 2 star for the cons. The Pros: FAST! Relatively hot. (But unless you transfer to a coffee carafe Simple to use. Makes a good tasting cup of coffee. The Cons: You need Bun Filters. Without them, you will have the result of the attached picture. Carafe Placement - you must be sure that carafe is placed perfectly under drip opening. You can't just place carafe under and assume it's lined up. Side Water Heater switch - I have guests that think that is the on/off switch. I have since taped the switch ON so that I don't have to start the water heating process all over each time my guest turns it off. Carafe Warming switch - does not automatically turn off. So if you are ok knowing these Cons going in, you won't be disappointed in the good coffee the pot makes.

This is absolutely the BEST coffee pot on the market!!! We got a newer model that did not have the hot water reserve in the back as a gift for Christmas. We make one pot in it which took forever, so we sent it back and got this Bunn-O-Matic 10-cup Black Professional Coffee Brewer, GRX-B. We set it up and after the water heated in the tank and it was ready to make the first pot, it took only 1 minute and 45 seconds to make it!!! This is the third one of this type coffee maker that we have had in the last 41 years!! Not bad ... each pot lasted over 13-1/2 years!!!! If you have a question on which pot to buy ... don't look any longer ... buy this one!!! You will never regret it!!

This machine makes excellent coffee for sure. We only have our coffee in the mornings when we get up but bought the machine anyway. It reads that it makes coffee in 3 minutes but I timed my machine and two minutes and it was done. And tasty tasty for sure. So many times I go to Dun-kin Donuts and wish I could make coffee like theirs at home. Well now I do and I don't even buy their coffee! The machine has no bells and whistles but I feel that is an added plus. All except the last coffee maker (which got a leak) we have owned, quit working due to the electronic clock and timers and more. With all that on electrical appliances you are going to have problems with all the steam. There is no sure seal to seal out condensation. As for style, well could be a little better but we can live with that! As for durability I rated excellent because the machine comes with a three year warranty. Can't beat that. Get this maker and enjoy enjoy.

Our first Bunn (GTX-W) died this weekend after only a few years of use (we bought it refurbished). After looking in store at other makers we decided to save the money & bought an in-expensive "Mr. Coffee" unit. After getting it home & tasting the coffee that came out of it we decided to return it & get another Bunn. After having coffee made from a Bunn coffee maker for several years you won't want to sacrifice taste to save a few bucks. This is a quality unit & makes an awesome pot of joe. Leave the cheaper makers for the kids & college students & treat yourself to a Bunn!
