We received it on Thursday and cooked with it Friday. Our very old crock pot gave up the ghost, and this one stepped right in with some new features (including a timer) and did a great job. We're pleased. We even received it a day earlier than promised.

First off, this slow cooker cooks way too hot and the handles get exceptionally hot! That needs to be fixed. Second, you users manual says when cooking is done, it switches to warm and counts up to four hours,. This feature does not work!

I received this crock pot (in stainless steel) for christmas 2019. Today, I used it for the 2nd time and the digital component went haywire. The numbers and lights are all flashing. I'm going back to the old school "high/low" knob type. very disappointed

I bought this Crock Pot in July of 2019, and by December of 2019 it has stopped working. The digital control flickers and does not work, which makes the crock pot inoperable. I think this is one of the higher end slow cookers that Crock Pot offers, so I would expect it to last longer than 5 months. Our last crockpot lasted over 7 years before it needed to be replaced.

I just purchased the 7Qt Crock Pot last week and using it today (13/14 July 2019) for first time. I use my Crock Pot for making soups only. I purchased this one after my 6Qt Crock Pot was beaten down after a good 6 year of continuous use (3-4 × per week). I don't care about the handles getting hot as they'll cool down when I get home after 16-18 hours of cooking. What I don't understand is why is the Low Setting Boiling? I am keeping the Crock Pot, but I hope Crock Pot fixes this issue in their future 6 Qt and 7 Qt. models. I had the same issue in the 6 Qt. Model. Please remedy this! Thanks

The programmable crockpot works great but the lid doesn't fit correctly. It seems to be warped. I'm going to have to order another one when they are back in stock.

I bought this before Christmas and have now had a few chances to use it. I've got really mixed feelings about it.
Positives include its size and the fact it's programmable. It's hard to find a 7 qt slow cooker that has functional programming. This item allows you to set cook times in 30 minute increments rather than having a number of preset times to choose from. I also bought the black unit. I've got 2 stainless slow cookers and their casings just look awful after a few months.
Negatives. (And there are enough that if I'd paid full price would have made me return the cooker.) I have a 5 qt and 6 qt Hamilton Beach that I'm using as comparisons.
1. Digital timer. This is located way down at the bottom of the unit and keeps it from been easily seen. While that sounds picky, it really is a problem when you go to see how long you have on the timer or when you set it.
2. No on button. WAY weird. I don't think I've ever had an appliance other than a counter top grill that started this way. It's weird enough I would have most likely passed on this unit if I'd known it or thought about it.
3. No real lid gasket/seal. I saw someone else mention this in a review and she's right. It's a real problem if you plan to travel with this appliance. It also has a really cheap feel that makes me wonder how long it will last.
4. Lid clasps. Probably the BIGGEST negative. My two other crocks have the locking mechanism attached to the sides with a little hook area on the lid to fit the locking brackets over. This unit has those mechanisms attached to the lid. This makes clean up infinitely more difficult. Pretty sure it won't take long before I either knock one off or it falls off on its own. This is just a horrible design that should be changed fast.
5. Temperature. My unit cooks hot. Even accounting for the size (larger crocks cook faster) I have to be really diligent in watching my cooking time. The warm feature seems to be a bit higher than it should be...liquidy stuff tends to sit at a high simmer which really seems to hot. I haven't tested the temperature yet (on my to do list), but keep a close eye on cooking times for this unit.
All in all, the cooker was a good deal for the price. Still, if I'd known (or paid attention) to the features, I would have passed on it. Even needing a larger cooker this is still a problematic purchase.

I received this Crock pot a couple of weeks back very nice looking. I used for Christmas I cooked a 4# roast on low heat for 8 hours was cooked to perfection. My two old crock pots that I had for 7 years one died and the other one is on it's last legs so will be ordering another one after the first of the year very happy camper

So I have contacted crock pot directly about this. But the only difference between warm, low, and high, is the amount of time it takes to get to temperature. It shouldn't be over 215 degrees they say, but they all get up that high! So your low temperature setting and your high temperature setting are the exact same temperature. One just takes longer to get there. Everything I've tried to cook in here that I've cooked in my old 70's crock watcher has turned out way too overdone. I'm seriously disappointed. Crock pot says all their new models are like this. It's going right back to the store I bought it from.

I bought one to take food to pot lucks, dinners, etc. When I put the crock inside the exterior, it didn't fit properly and wobbled. When I put the lid on, it didn't fit properly and there was a gap on both sides where steam can escape as cooking. When I locked the lid down and took it in my car, liquid sloshed out while driving -- even though it was not filled to the top. I've owned a lot of crock pots in various sizes over the years and loved all but this one. I will Never by Crock Pot Brand again.

Bought this crockpot as an upgrade to the old school ones. Works great with digital timing and don't have to worry about overcooking food while away. Always convenient. However last week the power went out during cooking and now the digital screen won't work when trying to set to low or high or select the menu button. I am bummed. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Nice size. Was hoping the lid would seal better than it did. Food did seep out. The lid did slip around. And the fact that it has that seal, the lid was full of water from the steam, had to wipe it out a couple times and before packing it up to transport.

I've had this for awhile and I love it!!! The 7 quart is a hard one to find because I've not seen one anywhere besides here. I cooked small turkeys, chickens, and lots of meal prep stuff that you just can't with a small croc pot. The programmable buttons are so easy, love this.

This is my second crock pot like this. I love it since it has the lid locking mechanism when I take it to potlucks. I actually ordered this one because the little rubber legs broke off my previous one. At potlucks, folks aren't always very careful about picking it up and placing it down. People have a tendency to pull it or push it which over time I think caused the legs to break.

I love this crock pot. It is large enough I can make dinner for 5 adults and 2 kids and not be huge and take up to much space. It is well made and very consistent in cooking. I have owned 3 other crock pots and this has been by far my favorite and best investment.

Nice crock pot but I found almost the same crockpot at Walmart for $35. Only difference was one the color (stainless vs black) and the cheaper model lacked ONLY the "carry around" and "countdown" feature. Since I have never carried my previous crockpot around, nor used the countdown feature, I opted for the cheaper one. I received both as gifts on the exact same day!

I purchased this as a replacement for my old slow cooker after the lid broke. I know my old cooker only holds 6 quarts, so I wanted something bigger this time. When this unit arrived, it didn’t look any bigger, even though it is supposed to be a 7 quart crockpot. I poured water in it, and sure enough, it holds exactly 6 quarts of water. I called customer service and was told that the unit is “7 quarts in circumference, but will only hold 6 quarts.” They should not advertise this as a 7 quart unit when they know it only holds 6 quarts! It’s false advertising. Very disappointed!

This crockpot is my new kitchen staple. I wanted one that would fit a huge roast, and that had a timer. The only thing that I think would make it better would be if it had the ability to program how many hours on high, then flip to how many hours on low, and THEN flip to warm until ready to serve.

First time I used it didn't work out quite right because it cooked a little faster than I thought. Set your timer and let the warm setting finish it off. Seriously.

VERY GLAD WE WERE HOME. I am thinking we had a 2015 model where overheating was an issue?

This product would be great but.... the liner is prone to cracking. I have had the unit for about 3 years. Recently the stoneware crock has developed a crack that appears to be getting worse. Using the product in this condition is not an option for safety reasons. So.. I'm willing to purchase a replacement liner. I went to Crock Pot's website, and lo and behold, the liner is not available. Reading the reviews, there are multiple customers with the exact same issue. I emailed the company, and since the unit is out of warranty, they will not replace it. I don't expect free, but there should be some accommodation when they cannot provide a replacement part. I also left a polite but critical 1 star review for the product on their site, but they moderate the review, and won't publish it. You have to love the fact that this company does not want to see any honest feedback for a product that could be a safety issue. In any event, as nice as the product is when it works properly, I'd suggest not purchasing this unless you are OK with dumping it with no recourse if the liner cracks.. which is likely based on the information on their own website.

Do not buy this item. I specifically bought this for the lid locking feature. It does not provide a seal and thus leaks. I made chili for work and carried it in, only to leave a trail of chili on the floor and on my pants. I was carrying it as evenly as possible. It is a defect in the design. The lid is not big enough for the pot. So disappointed.

Just bought this for 49.99 at j.c.penny. I fixed chicken legs and breasts with veggies and chicken broth, had it in for 4 hours on high, it was absolutely delicious! So were the whole, huge carrots. Next will be chili con carne. I really like this pot. I just wished the lid would fit a little more snuggly, but it has the rubber to keep moisture in. All in all a very good purchase.
