This was a replacement for an older crock pot, same brand and size. It does not get nearly as hot as it's predecessor or any other crock pot I own. I've got a pot of spaghetti that has now been cooking for five hours on hot and is still not bubbling at all.

Cooking beef stew on low....went to lift cover and it shattered. Micro pieces of glass fell in the stew. I'd used it probably 10 times in the 2 years I've owned it.

Once this cooker is on for several hours, the outside becomes very hot to touch and can burn. Also, I dropped the glass lid from my hand to my kitchen counter, and it shattered into hundreds of pieces. THIS ITEM IS NOT SAFE - DON'T BUY IT.

Love this cute little crockpot. Perfect for 2 to 4 (maybe even 6). It’s so compact and easy to handle. Beware it gets hot even on low. Haven’t tried the keep warm setting. I’m just so happy with it. I like the lock and carry to tote to potlucks I bought the carrying case which makes it so easy to transport.

The lid on my old faithful crock-pot broke. I cried. Then I found that to replace it was going to cost as much as a brand new one. I cried again. I looked for weeks and this one seemed the best fit for what I do and I am not at all displeased with the choice. Heats quickly and cooks evenly and I really like the keep warm feature. In another 30 years I will likely again need to replace it and would not be adverse to getting another just like it.

We had gotten one for a wedding present back in the 70's that finally needed replaced so updated with this one

I like this one so much better. It has a wider opening instead of tall and narrow, which makes it easier to use. I like the locking handles because I use this size more for pot luck parties than home use. It has easy to use controls and is easy to clean and use. It kept the dish at a perfect serving temperature for hours so I knew the food was safe to eat.
When taken to a party, it is easy for guests to dish out a serving. The serving spoon doesn't fall out or into the dish making it cleaner to use.
The only thing I don't like as much is the cord is attached. Our previous one needed to have the cord replaced a few times and when it is detachable it is much easier and less expensive to just buy a new cord.

Works great! The lock works great except maybe the plastic feels little cheap on the sides as well as the knob. This thing is idiot proof though. So easy to use. Great for a bachelor who wants to make healthy meals that last all week. All you need is this 4-quart. Maybe one of the best purchases I have made on Amazon!

I liked this crock pot until yesterday, when the glass lid exploded.
It was sitting on the counter on low heat, filled to about an inch and a half away from the top, with nothing touching it. I was on the other side of the room and heard a sharp cracking noise. When I went over to look, there was glass all over the counter and floor and a hole in the lid. When I touched the lid handle the remaining glass crumbled and a bunch fell into the pot.
Given that people commonly leave their slow cooker going for multiple hours, such a thing is alarming and dangerous and completely unacceptable.
I have tried to think of what might have caused it, but am at a loss. No hot liquid touched it from the inside (except ordinary steam from cooking I suppose), nothing touched it from the outside, nothing fell or dripped on it, it was just sitting there. Very disturbing.

Update: when I contacted the manufacturer, they replaced it despite being past the warranty. I requested one that did not have the latches on the lid, because that was the only other point of failure I could think of. There was glass, metal, and plastic all expanding/contracting at different rates while imbedded in a glass lid that is bathed in steam on the lower surface and room temperature on the upper surface. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyway, the new one has worked fine

Great size but...... Be really careful what you cook in it. First thing I used it for was small corned beef with cabbage. Turned out great except the rubber seal REAKS!!! Have tried everything including storing with baking soda. Nada! DON'T try removing seal either; freaking impossible to get back on!!!

I love this crock pot! It’s the perfect size for small amount of soup, stews, etc. The locking top is great too, really holds in the heat and seals in case you have to move it. My only complaint is that it seems like newer crock pots have super short cords! Sometimes I have two crock pots going and the cords are barely long enough to have them side by side without turning them so they’re back to back.

I LOVE my crockpot. I'm a post grad who lives alone and I don't have time to cook during the week, so I wanted to start cooking meals in larger portions so I could store them to eat throughout the week. This crockpot is the best I'd found for the price and is perfect for what I needed. It only has the basic low, medium, high, warm settings (no temperature-specific settings) but that has worked perfectly for me so far. The interior ceramic bowl is super easy to clean and it's small enough to put away in the cabinet when I'm not using it. I've cooked everything from breakfast to desert in it and can't wait to use it for years to come!

I had a crockpot for many years but decided it was time for an upgrade. My former was also a 4 quart but they have really improved the 4 quart size & shape. It seems like I can get more in it and with the shape being more of an elongated oval than before I can get a roast in much more easily.

This is a really well made product. The lid locks down for a very tight seal. The main unit, crock pot and lid are all very substantial in weight and quality materials. We have used it dozens of times and it is very consistent in it's heating, so there's no guessing game as too how long things will take to cook. Great size and removable crock make clean up a breeze.

This was one of my best purchases ever. It is perfect size for me. I work long hours and don't always feel like coming when I get home. This replaces an old, no-name brand 3qt slow cooker.
First, good build quality, it feels sturdy. Second, the lib fits tight - which wasn't the case with my old slow cooker. Big enough to make stacked enchiladas and corn tortilla quesadillas in, reheats my leftovers, pretty much a good all-rounder.

This is a nice smaller crockpot. I have a larger one and this is great for when we do big dinners. The only thing I don't like is that there are 3 feet on the bottom which aren't wholly stable.

I have one of these and recently purchased the smaller version for my sister in college. The lid-mounted locking system is EVERYTHING! Especially if you are taking something over to a party or work. I wasn't sure what the quart measurement was on the crockpot I was replacing. This 4 quarter that I bought was definitely smaller. I've used it though and it fit what I needed - a pork loin. If I was to repurchase I'd get a larger one. Love the red and they didn't offer red at the time in a larger size.

This is a great crock pot. I bought it because it has the locks and can be transported easily without fear of spilling the contents.
The color is wonderful and matches our other small kitchen appliances.
The only bad thing is the cord is too short. A longer cord would be a much better fit for me.

Performance and value are right up there. A couple minor suggestions I would make to the manufacture is to add one more foot on the bottom. It's a little wobbly with only 3 and also temperature control could be better.. it does get too hot from time to time.

This was giving as a gift to my daughter but she loves this crock pot. The stock picture does not not show just how truly beautiful the color is and it is a perfect size for a couple starting out. This is the goldilocks of crockpots. Big enough to fix a meal for friends and yet small enough to pull out and use everyday. I would definitely recommend this to anyone

I purchased this for its size. I have the exact same one, but 6 quart size, which is too much for one person. I do like to make a large enough amount for left overs or freezer, and the 4 quart is perfect. Also, my most recent crock pot cook book fits this one perfectly. I would have to double for my larger one, which gives me too much unless I am feeding guests.
This crock pot is very easy to clean, I love the clamps for traveling (though I have not done that yet), and the food cooks in the times suggested in the recipe book I am using.

I've only used it once, but I made beef stew in it and it came out great. The recipe called for 6 hours on high, which I did, but I wasn't ready for it yet, so kept it on warm for about 4 hours and it was the perfect temperature for eating. Easy cleanup. Still a little large for 1 person, but what I made lasted for 4 meals and only filled it 1/2 way but still cooked great.

If you love to cook like I do, and you are always having trouble figuring out how to get it there, this little jewel will meet your expectations. It is plain and simple. No fancy things to figure out or to break. It does not have an electronic timer for setting when to start, but put your items in, turn it on, and come back later when it is done. Food set in a container left out (not refrigerated) is not save anyway. Love it.

This a beautiful crockpot, 4 quart oval. I love it! A crockpot is one of the best all time cooking tools for the kitchen. I love that this one has a locking lid for transportation...so nothing will leak. You cannot leave it locked while cooking something, but thats fine. It has a soft rubber ring around the circumference of the lid and a vent hole so it will not sputter water out from the lip of the lid. Quite a good improvement. Buy it, you will not be sorry!

I have an older, much larger industrial sized crock pot that was just too large for making soups, stews, and roasts for my family. Because it was so large, soups and stews were very shallow (unless I doubled or tripled the recipe), and as a result, they frequently burned. This not only deteriorated quite a few meals, and made for unnecessarily difficult cleanup. So I wanted to get a smaller, more traditional sized crock pot. This one fits the bill just right. It is ideal for cooking meals for 3-5 people with just enough left overs for lunches, yet it is also large enough to cook a roast in. Because the size of the crock pot is smaller than my other one, soups and stews are deeper, and tend to cook more slowly and evenly, even on the "high" setting. Roasts also cook more evenly because there is less air space surrounding them, so they don't require extra liquid to prevent them from drying out on the top half or boiling because they're submerged in liquid. Cleanup is also easier because there is less air space to dry & burn liquids / sauces onto the sides of the crock pot.
This unit also has a handy latch system to latch the lid into place on each end. That makes for a much more airtight cooking experience, so foods cook faster and don't dry out. It's also very handy for transporting food inside the crockpot. The lid has a tiny steam vent and a rubber gasket that helps seal the lid when the lid is locked in place.

The crock pot is nicely made with large open handles which helps when lifting. Stainless steel cleans easily. The lid fits very tightly and the locks are easy to secure into place. Even for arthritic fingers. Crock is very well made and heavy. Mine has a tiny defect in the lip of the crock but doesn't look like a chip and not enough reason I feel I should return.
My old 4 qt. crock is a much longer 4 qt oval which takes up a larger foot print on the counter top. However, even though new crock is same 4 qt. size, I have to reduce the amount I place into crock. Not sure why, this is a deep, narrow crock but same recipes I've been making for years does not fit entirely in new crock.
Negative....cord is 2 feet long. Sounds long enough but I have to place crock almost again wall when I plug into outlet. All my older crocks have longer cords. Just need an extension cord more often. I did forget this wasn't programmable until it arrived but can work around that of course.
You'll be happy with the quality of the crock pot so unless you're looking for programmable, I'd recommend.
