I'm very disappointed! Wouldn't you think a Cuisinart product be high quality? No matter how I adjust it the toasting is uneven, too light or just right on one side, burnt or too dark on the other.
It makes me cringe to think I have to put up with this for the next 10 or so years. I should have stuck to an inexpensive toaster.

It has to be watched like an old fashioned toaster. It must be set in one of the two highest settings to get any brown at all; that is with bread. Bagels and English
Muffins take two attempts with constant watching. No quality control in this factory!!

I purchased this toaster because it’s compact and fits in my side upper cabinet. As far as being wide and toasting not so much. Very hard to read setting since they are in black, even when wearing glasses. Bagels get stuck and don’t pop up all the time. Toaster does not toast evenly every time.

Having had a Breville toaster for two decades that finally bought the farm, purchased this unit and am delighted by how quick, quiet and effective it is.
I only wish that it had a one slice setting because if it did, it would be perfect.

Bought this model to match our coffee pot because experience showed me those coffee pots last a long time. The toaster is ok, but we have it on a low setting ( under 2 when the dial goes up to 8) to get normal colored toast without making blackened bread.

I bought it put it away and continued using and struggling with my old toaster but when I started using this new toaster, no more burnt toast! It works totally great and it’s very easy to clean. We all love it.

Since it was Cuisinart, I thought it would be a first class toaster but it does NOT brown the toast. I have it on the highest setting and it only toasts very lightly in the center of the bread. I’ve tried every setting and still only get blond toast! BTW, this is wheat bread and toaster on highest setting.
