The carafe for this machine is poorly designed as is the opening of the reservoir. There is a very small opening to pour the water into the reservoir and you can not pour water from the carafe without making a mess on the counter top or wetting the fresh ground coffee and paper filer. The carafe does not fully empty either, so you are left with water in the bottom of the pot. When pouring brewed coffee, the coffee does not pour in a nice, consistent stream into your cup. Instead, it comes out in a displaced path and gets on the counter top. Also, due to the poor pot design, you can not fully empty the carafe of the brewed coffee. Poor design, save the frustration and find something else!

I absolutely love my new Cuisinart Thermal Coffeemaker. It really does make a big difference in the coffee taste. I also like how the Thermal Coffee Pot keeps my coffee hot for a long time. I have no regrets in my purchase of this product

Great replacement for my old burr grinder coffee maker the just gave up. A bit of a challenge to fill wit water but makes great coffee. Keeps coffee hot for a long time due to the insulated stainless steel craft.

This coffee maker is nearly perfect! I owned the previous model for many years and I'm very pleased that this model fixes most of my (very minor) irritants.

Sleek appearance, easy to fill and clean. Makes HOT coffee and thermal carafe keeps it really hot for hours. Shower head over grounds provides even disbursement. Option to choose higher intensity brew also a plus. Programmable so coffee ready and waiting!

Great machine for price, like I have read in other reviews, the lip design I think is a bit faulty whereas it is difficult to pour out the last cup of coffee..

This was to replace my previous coffee maker that had malfunctioned, it's great at keeping coffee hot for a long time. I like that it has no warming plate so you don't have to worry that you left it on.
