I expected a decent coffee machine. I've had Cuisinart for years, try something different. Pros: Very easy to use, the water tank is simple and easy. Buttons are simple to understand. I'm not sure if the sprawling thing in top of pot helps. But coffee is stronger and has more flavor than I'm used to. For me that is a good thing. Cons: Only negative I've found is the pot. It stains very easy if you don't scrub it daily. I normally rinse good after use. By 2nd or 3rd day, pot starts to look darker. Just means I need to clean better. Also, had to order new pot, broke old one. I have NEVER broken a coffee pot. While cleaning pot I guess I hit side of counter top and broke piece out of bottom. I didn't even know it until morning when brewing and coffee all over the place. Of course the only place to get pot only is Ninja. And shipping over holiday????? Old Mr Coffee came off the bench to save me Honestly, I really like this machine. Easy to use, easy to clean, makes VERY GOOD COFFEE. I just wish glass pot (carafe) was a bit better.

I got this coffee maker in July and loved it. The problem is the Carafe broke and I've been trying to find a replacement online and couldn't find anything - not even on Amazon or eBay. I looked on Ninja's website and the Carafe was sold out. I called them and told me it will take 2-3 weeks to get a replacement. I never leave negative feedback, but this one got me wondering about after sales support. If you're selling a product you must support it. Other coffee makers have availability of replacement parts online. So if you are going to purchase this product, make sure that you get a Carafe as a spare... just in case. Too bad as I really liked this coffee maker but will not buy it again.

I initially bought the well-reviewed Oxo Brew 8 cup. Big mistake. No matter how I screwed on the black plastic carafe lid or how many cups I made, coffee spilled while brewing or pouring. As it turned out, the opening in the carafe's top becomes blocked with a grain of coffee grounds. Let me emphasize -- ONE grain. This is a significant design flaw. Grounds spill out of the coffeemaker when water rises above the paper filter, which is due either to too much coffee grounds or if the grind isn't coarse enough. The Oxo Brew was replaced with a Ninja CE251 Programmable Brewer, with 12-cup Glass Carafe, Black and Stainless Steel Finish. On the plus side, it doesn't spill while brewing or pouring, the coffee is just as good, it cost half as much, it can brew 50% more coffee, you can keep coffee warm up to four hours, and it is much easier to add water (the reservoir is removable). The only two negatives are that it is bigger, so it might not fit under a counter, and the carafe is glass, so that it can break.

Our Mr. Coffee finally went out so we researched a delayed coffee maker. This Ninja got great reviews so we decided to buy it. Of course, we love the delayed brewing. My husband feels like the coffee is distributed evenly, for example the freshest coffee isn't just sitting on top. He likes the RICH setting. Feels like it brews slower - as it's supposed to - to make rich coffee. We use to use a small spoon before with our old Mr. Coffee but we use the spoon that came with the Ninja and are satisfied with the measurement. Would DEFINITELY recommend this coffee to anyone who loves dark roast and is an aficionado of coffee!

We've had this coffeemaker for 9 month and it worked fine until last week when the auto shutoff failed. I was in the other room and heard a strange beeping that didn't stop, and I finally realized it was coming from the kitchen, and it was the coffeemaker. As I entered the kitchen and approached the Ninja, I heard cracking sounds. I turned the unit off and let it sit for a couple of hours before I moved anything because I thought if I picked up the carafe it might shatter. When I did move the carafe I saw this burned warming plate! For 9 months the auto shutoff worked perfectly, but if I hadn't been home to hear the beeping, I am certain a fire would have started and I would have come home to a pile of cinders. We called Ninja to see what they'd do about this, and they said they'd sell us a new unit (minus carafe and water reservoir) for $20. AND they said that this has happened before! Once we heard that this was not a unique incident, we passed on a replacement, and I would suggest you pass on this unit altogether.

I gave myself several months of use in order to gather enough info to write this. My husband and I had been using a cheapie non-programmable pot from Walmart for years. We were always afraid of leaving it on all day, so we decided to upgrade. We drink a lot of coffee, so we decided it was worth the investment to purchase this model. From the beginning I loved the simplicity of filling a reservoir and using the permanent filter. The first pot of coffee I made was terrible, but I attributed that to it being new and not having the proper coffee ratio down. So, over the next several weeks, we played with the number of scoops to use. No quantity produced coffee that wasn’t bitter or undrinkable. So then we changed our coffee brand/roast. Four times... each time going through the same trial and error phase of #/scoops (we also tried both brew settings). Nothing. Terrible. Finally, after all of this time, we have resorted to no longer drinking coffee in the mornings. I had thrown out our old pot when receiving this one(dumb, I know). What once had been a weekend morning tradition of making several pots of coffee and sipping them comfortably on our porch, is no longer. I’m disappointed and confused because I have read no reviews anywhere else about someone having the same experience. I’d blame it on myself if I hadn’t tried so many different times to make it work. It’s now a $70 waste of space on my counter and I’m left coffee-less in the morning. Maybe you’ll have better luck?

I have been using this coffee maker for a couple of months, and it has been great. It has all the features I need, and it brews great coffee. No coffee maker is perfect, but this is as close as any I have owned. My only complaint is that the "shower head" flips up to allow access to the filter, and when doing this, water drips from the head onto the top of the machine and also runs down the inside of the filter housing and drips down onto the hot plate. It is easy enough to wipe up, but I would have preferred the filter housing swing out for access. That would also allow the filter to be accessed without requiring the machine to be pulled out from under the cabinet. But like I said, no coffee maker is perfect, and I am quite happy with this one so far.

This is a great machine for the price. Love the reusable filter and makes some pretty good coffee. Two things worth noting. If the coffee sits on the hot plate it does heat up to a very hot temperature in comparison to other makers so be careful. Fresh from brew cycle is quite hot but nothing too crazy. With other brew pots in the past if I had coffee in the pot I could set the delay brew timer and it would just reheat the coffee I had this one will not do that unless you actually brew some new coffee even if it's just the half pot feature. Not a deal breaker but it's there. Since purchase we've run the cleaning cycle as recommend by the manual twice and haven't had any issues with the machine at all.

I love drip machines. Tried Kuerig a few years ago but we drink like 12 cups a day and prefer it be hot and ready. We had many basic drips and were in the market for something new. I hate using the coffee carafe to fill the water reservoir. Just something about the coffee residue. I just didn’t like it. So i was really drawn to the removable water reservoir that I can fill while cleaning the rest. Lo and behold, I like other features too. Reusable filter is great- coffee is richer and I don’t need filters. Filter xannot fail so coffee grains never get in; the coffee is just stronger and ur have to rinse ur filter every day. the filter has a handle. old machine, I sometimes would try and grab the filter and pull just it and the old grounds out and walk to the trash and... well... i didnt always make it. Not with this Ninja machine! goodbye paper filters! And the tube in the carafe lid that pushes all the fresh coffee to the bottom really does keep the flavor more evenly distributed. Great machine. Easy to clean. Awesome design!

I've been a Mr. Coffee person for some time, with never spending more than $25-$35 per coffee pot. My main criteria is that it must be easily programmable with an H and M so that you do not have to go around the 24 hours to reset time and has a clock that stays lit. Within the past year, I've purchased another Ninja product that has just been terrific, so I took a chance with this product. While it was more than my price range in the past, I loved that it had the separate bay for the water without dealing with having it in the same location as the grounds which invariably gets spilled on when pouring in the water. This rocks the house! It does take a little longer to brew (about 14 minutes), but it has an Hour and Minute button and you can easily set the warmer to go longer than 2 hours. The water bay is easily removed and has a gripper handle to hold on to it. I love that I can see the time when I walk out into the kitchen in the darker mornings! The caraffe lid is better than most as it snaps in and out of place and the pour spout is very "drip proof". I love this coffee pot and it was well worth going out of my price range. I highly recommend it!

I do not understand the negative reviews. This works great, I grind my own and it’s hard to find a coffee maker that grinds so I bought a grinder. The detachable water thing is amazing and it’s so easy, coffee comes out amazing and I drink tons of coffee. Functional, perfect and it looks nice too in my kitchen. Don’t worry about the negative reviews it’s just the loud people complaining about nothing. Some people are never happy. I really like this coffee maker. I’ve used both the classic and bold features, I like it strong and black, and it comes out perfect every time. Even comes with a measuring spoon attached to the side, and stows perfect. Def recommend.

First off, I am NOT a coffee aficionado, so I am not a good judge of whether or not this machine makes great coffee or not...let's just say that it doesnt make bad coffee. Why did I get it? I had an old Cuisinart machine that had a metal carafe. It served me well over the years, but it was starting to fall apart. Things I like about the Ninja CE251: I am the only coffee drinker in my household, so I only make about 3-4 cups a day. So I appreciate that this machine has a strong brew and small brew settings (I click both of those on). I like how this machine's water reservoir is removeable and has a large lid. My previous machine had neither and it was a total pain to refill each morning and made a real mess. This machine solves all those problems. Although I only drink 3-4 cups a day, it is good to have the capacity to make up to 12 cups in case we have guests. I like that the machine does not brew the coffee too quickly and the coffee does not come out boiling. I bought a Mr Coffee machine a while back and I realized just how much you can screw up coffee if the machine dumps too much water too quickly on the grinds and the water temp is too hot. This machine works well on both these fronts. I've used the timer on a few occasions and it's fairly easy to program without having to find and read the manual. The only complaint I have is that the carafe is glass. I miss the bombproof design of having a stainless steel carafe...I just hope I don't break this one. Oh, I guess my other complaint is that the parts are pretty hard to hand-wash. The carafe has sharp edges on the inside lip and the re-usable filter and filter-holder are a bit tough and tedious to clean. Thankfully they are machine-washable, but I usually hand-wash. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and would recommend it if the overall aesthetic is pleasing to you. The coffee it makes is certainly good-enough for me.

After years of reliable performance from a Cuisinart coffee maker, it neared end-of-life and we searched around for a replacement. The reviews on the Ninja, as well as our great experience with our Ninja blender tipped the scale in favor of the Ninja coffee maker. SO VERY HAPPY WITH THIS COFFEE MAKER! The water reservoir is a game changer; so easy to fill and clean, whether righthanded or lefthanded! The CARAFE is the absolute BEST carafe I've ever used! It is sturdy and pours very cleanly. The flavor of coffee made in the Ninja is excellent, rich and smooth (highly recommend whole beans from Independence Coffee Company in Brenham, Texas ?).

Love this coffee pot! We have had it for about 3 months now and it has been great! I looked at A LOT of coffee pots before settling on this one but I’m so glad it is the one we went with! It is so easy to clean and use. Great product! Ninja definitely didn’t disappointed with this one!

it's attractive, well designed, and user friendly. the 'tech' options are minimal-which i like-and i can not vouch for the basic programming function which i have no use for. the rear attached scooper is a nice touch, and the detachable water receptacle (put it in the dishwasher) has a big, oversized opening-there will be no spilling or squinting. coffee's much hotter than your average thirty dollar maker, and the electronic beeps signifying done are soft enough not to alarm Fido...would def take off half a star for the stated unavailability of a replacement carafe (the first thing to break) on the ninja website...leaving you with what option?...at a minimum parts should be readily available for a quality product like this...

Nothing special for a coffee maker. We had to replace the carafe within the first 6 months after, it hit a knife in the sink and broke. Has to call Ninja directly for a $25 replacement... it took a couple weeks to arrive, and I’ll already need another. It couldn’t sustain a 4 inch drop into a plastic set tub, and broke in the exact same spot as my first, on the bottom. The glass on this carafe is INCREDIBLY thin. We’ve thrifted a couple glass carafes to use in its place, we just insert the brew through top too trigger it to dispense. Overall this coffee pot is getting expensive, just to keep it functioning properly with its respective pot. Also you can’t keep it under a cabinet, the brew basket flips open up top, and it needs to be pulled out to fill.

I replaced my old Mr. Coffee with a comparable new model; it was cheaply made and poorly designed for ease of use and cleaning. I have a Ninja smoothie blender that is simple and works well, so I bought their coffeepot. I like that the water reservoir is easily removed for filling; the coffee basket is easy to grasp, remove, and rinse clean; and the pot's lid slides shut and "locks." Controls are simple and easily visible. There is even a scoop built into the side. Not for the aficionado, but a solid, decently manufactured machine that does the job for a comparable price with lesser products.

TL/DR: Easy to fill, and elevates even un-fussy basic coffee into a great cup of joe. Reading the instructions is a must. Takes a little getting-to-know, but once you do, it's well worth the price and time invested. We've had this brewer for 3 months now. Off-the-shelf plastic-canister commercial coffee now tastes a lot more robust. And the artisanal stuff? Wow. The cone method is probably making a big difference in the flavor of the coffee compared to our old $25 basket-filter brewer, but I admit it could also be due just as much to this whole system being that much more upgraded from a basic unit. It's also really nice to come downstairs three hours after our first cups, to pour the last cups and find that it's still sufficiently hot for us -- the programmable warmer is pretty cool. And I love, LOVE, not having to pour water into the top of the brewer (and probably also some of it on to my counter) to fill an internal reservoir. Now, you do have to do a little fiddling to set things up, but we didn't find it to be difficult. We started by reading the instructions. Got that, folks? Read. The. Instructions. It's not frustrating once you *know* how to set up the clock, auto-brew, and the warming plate countdown timer. Admittedly there are a lot of buttons, but that's because of all the extra functions we paid for in the unit, and I wouldn't have expected anything else. Once everything's set up, you prime the coffee maker, push the power button, push the auto button, and tomorrow you wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee. Yay! Well, unless the power goes out and then everything is reset because there's no internal battery to keep time, and that's also ok with us because we knew that going in. Like with any new coffee maker you'll need to try different settings and amounts of coffee to get used to how it functions. It's worth noting here that this unit uses a 5-oz standard for their coffee-cup, whereas many other brewers -- and even coffee packages -- reference a 6-oz standard, and knowing that helped us to figure out why the coffee package's recommended 1 Tbsp of grounds per cup resulted in coffee way too strong for our tastes. Oh, and one more thing -- that sneak-a-cup? Might be best to hold off for the whole pot if you can, or prepare yourself for a buzz like that scene in 1997's George of the Jungle. ("Javajavajavajava...") I think maybe because of the cone filter, those first drips are remarkably strong....

We've had many different brands of coffeemakers over the years and the Ninja is by far the best! Flavor is great and for the first time ever the second (and third) cups of coffee don't taste burnt! Plus, coffee actually remains warm too! We've been using this coffeemaker every day since we got it (about a month and a half ago) and it's still perfect. Very easy to clean and use. The unique carafe with locking lid means ZERO spills or drips while pouring. Being able to remove the water chamber to fill is a wonderful idea and makes cleaning simple. We have no complaints or criticisms with this coffeemaker at all. It's everything all other coffeemakers we've owned in the past lacked. I can't emphasize enough how nice it is to have refills remain hot and not taste burnt. With other brands the second and third cups of coffee never tasted as good as the first and were never hot. I honestly don't think we'll ever purchased another brand of coffeemaker again.

I like this coffee maker a lot, but the way the delay brew function works is confusing. The way delay brew is supposed to work is as follows: press the delay brew button, set the time, set the brew you want ("classic," "rich," and "small batch"), and then press the delay brew a second time (or just wait until the delay brew light stops blinking). However, when you press the delay brew button the second time the settings revert to whatever they were before you pressed the delay brew button the first time. I described this behavior to Ninja support and they said my unit was malfunctioning, so they sent me a replacement. However, the new unit works exactly the same way. You can find references to this behavior in some of the other reviews, and you can even see it in Ninja's own YouTube video on how to set delay brew. The work around is as follows: turn the unit on, select the brew you want in the morning, press the delay brew button, AGAIN select the brew you want, and then press the delay brew button a second time. If you make the same brew all the time, all the settings you want will have been selected by default, and you might not be aware of any issue. Other than the above, the coffee maker is very good. The carafe is great, the metal filter works great, the integrated measuring cup is convenient, and it's really nice being able to fill the reservoir at the sink. I'm taking off a star for the delay brew issue.

Tired of the same old coffee maker brands that only last a couple of years, I decided to try this Ninja brand, after my Hamilton Beach quit unexpectedly and prematurely. I liked what people said about the removable water chamber, easy cleaning, and spill-less pour of the carafe. I have now had this unit for about a week, and I couldn't be more pleased. Everything the others said is true. The water chamber is so easy to fill and to see exactly where your fill lines are. So easy to clean. The brewed coffee or water doesn't 'gather' around the bottom of the carafe the way it does in other coffee makers, which also means the warming plate will last longer (we have hard water that chews through those warming plates). The pouring is great. I didn't even realize how annoying all the other carafes were until I got this one! One of the features I like the best is the ability to choose brew strength. I like a good hearty cup of coffee and love the ability to choose Rich Brew, Classic Brew or Small Batch. Overall, I am really happy with this coffee maker and I am hard to please!!

So, first of all... some commonly asked concerns/questions for coffee maker buyers: 1. Yes, this coffee maker "fogs up" / traps a lot of steam/condensation against the glass. But to me, this isn't an issue or a big deal... this coffee maker is worth it, trust me! 2. While this is stainless steel, it does get prints on it easily, and will show noticeable wear after a few months (as you can see in the picture above). 3. The mesh filter is well-made, and you won't find any grounds in your coffee when using it, so long as you keep it clean/don't tear it while washing. The main reasons I love/recommend this coffee maker can be summarized as follows: 1) it makes an amazing cup of coffee that tastes better than most other brands. 2) It is very easy/practical to use and program, and has neat functions (like the option to keep warming the coffee/prevent automatic shutoff) 3) it comes with a very nice mesh filter that doesn't allow even finely ground coffee to slip through... and 4) it comes with a little scooper 5) it is very versatile/easy to use. I strongly recommend this product! 5/5!

We were looking to replace a thermos Starbucks Barista brand drip coffee maker that we had for years. We just wanted something pretty simple, that made a good cup of coffee, was programmable, poured well out of the carafe, and had a high enough capacity that everyone in the household could have some without having to make another pot. And this coffee maker has exceeded expectations. At first we were thinking we wanted a carafe because we typically program the coffee to brew early in the morning and then is drunk throughout the morning. But we were not able to find a carafe machine that wasn't $300 that got decent enough reviews. This machine is great! The 'stay warm' feature really does a great job of keeping it pretty piping hot for a long time without burning it. The features are easy. I really like the way the carafe pours. And it's super easy to clean. The big 12 cup capacity is awesome, but also nice that it has a separate setting if you are just brewing a few cups (presumably with different water flow rates). Plus it looks great on our counter. Highly recommend.

This is by far the best coffee maker I have ever owned. I've had this machine for a couple of months and I have zero complaints about it. One of the top selling points for me was the fact that the machine has a removable water reservoir. All of the removable parts (including the reservoir) are dishwasher safe on the top rack. Awesome! I always feel like things just get cleaner when they are run through the dishwasher, so I appreciate not having to hand wash items (plus the dishwasher is just so much more convenient). The Ninja comes with a permanent filter so you don't have to worry about using paper ones unless you just want to. The warming feature works like a charm, which was also a big selling point for me. I work on a pot of coffee throughout each morning as I'm working. The warming cycle runs for about two hours but you can always reset it if you want to keep the coffee hotter for longer stretches of time. The coffee scoop that comes with the machine makes measuring the amount of coffee grounds that you need foolproof. You simply fill the water reservoir to correspond to the number of cups you want to brew. Easy peasy. I highly recommend this one!

I am very pleased with this purchase. I roast my own coffee and pour overs are my favorite way to brew and this is basically a pour over machine. The shower head evenly soaks the coffee. Freshly roasted coffee blooms and expands when soaked which caused my old basket type brewer to overflow with grounds and get clogged. This Ninja has a bloom feature built in and seems to begin slowly to allow the bloom to develop without overflow. The cone shaped basket also helps prevent bloom overflow. The only time I had the grounds reach up to the shower head is when I added a paper filter to the basket, so I don’t recommend a paper filter for freshly roasted coffee. I’ve not had problems with grounds or much silt in the bottom of the pot. That would be a problem with beans being ground too finely. The water reservoir on the side is genius, hygienic and good looking. I’ve had no problems with spilling water because the lid prevents it while carrying from sink to brewer. All the pieces fit together easily and perfectly. The straw is sturdy and brilliant as it helps blend the brew evenly. Pours nicely from the pot with a wide brim that makes spills difficult. Coffee is hot,not just warm. Easy to use, makes great tasting coffee. I’ve avoided electric coffee makers because of the taste difference, but not anymore. The small batch feature works so well that I don’t waste extra coffee beans by making just a few cups. I’ve had it for about a month and so far, I have only good to say about it.

I've owned 3 Cuisinart Drip Coffee machines and while I loved the coffee and being able to remove the carafe even mid-brew & it would stop dripping so you could fill your cup, the Cuisinart only lasts 2 or 3 yrs and the machine fails and leaks. Also, the carafe contantly leaks and it is impossible to use it to fill the water tank because the tank is fixed, so I had to use a separate liter bottle or pitcher. With the Ninja it's really nice to finally have a seperate water tank for an easy fill and no mess! Best of all the carafe that doesn't leak! I like the small batch option for when we want a few more cups. I would have given 5 stars if the coffee basket & lid swung out to the side to fill it with coffee instead of up, since it is then too high to remain under the cabinets. Also, there is no autostop feature while brewing to grab a quick cup mid-brew, so it will keep dripping if you don't wait for it to finish the entire brew. Otherwise, I am happy with the Ninja and I don't miss the leaky Cuisinart. It's puzzling why Cuisinart hasn't addressed the leaky carafe issue by now but I'm tired of dealing with that and I have moved on. Both are reasonably priced with the Ninja having a slight edge. I hope the Ninja lasts because there are many unhappy reviewers saying it doesn't last. I've had mine 3 months now. Time will tell.

I'm a 68 year old retired US Navy Veteran, and I drink a lot of coffee. I've owned WAY more than my fair share of coffee makers over the years, but this one makes THE best tasting coffee I've ever had. The spout on the pot itself has a great shape, and spilling coffee while pouring it into my cup, and while pouring water into the reservoir, is now a thing of the past. I think it's actually my favorite design feature of this machine. Aside from the flavor of the coffee it produces, I think the coffee pot alone was more than worth the price of the upgrade. The design of this coffee maker is better than any sub-$300 coffee maker I've ever owned, and it rivals coffee makers at over 5-times the asking price. I also own the big Ninja Foodi, which is another product I just couldn't live without. I'm beginning to wonder what other kitchen items Ninja makes that I don't know about. If you love coffee, THIS is the coffee maker to own. I've drank coffee aboard ships on every ocean, and on six of the seven continents, and the coffee this machine makes is as good as the best I've ever had.

Love this coffee maker. It takes less coffee to make a rich pot. I used the 1tbsp to 1 cup coffee it suggests and set to rich. It presoaks the coffee, which I honestly didn't think would make a big difference, but it seems it certainly does. The coffee was rich and had better flavor. I love that it has a tbsp measure that sticks onto the side of the machine. It is easier to clean than normal coffee makers as almost everything comes off to be cleaned separately. Although there are still spaces that require a smaller brush of some kind to get down in the crevaces if your trying to deep clean it. And I wish the lid of the coffee maker separated to be cleaned. But overall it is fairly simple and most pieces can even go in the dishwasher which is excellent. It is also easy to program. Took just a few minutes of reading and pushing buttons to have it ready for the morning. Worth the price as we use this everyday. We have always used the cheap coffee makers. I do strongly encourage spending some more money on a better machine such as this one if you're an avid coffee drinker.

I'm one of those super coffee snobs. I use a French Press. Tried using Aeropress, too. Both are good and have their benefits. Since I have been stuck working from home, I just wanted two things: 1. Coffee ready quickly. 2. Warm coffee for about two hours in the mornings French Press isn't a 'quick' process. Heat the water, grind the beans, pour water. Wait 30 seconds. Then add more water. Wait four minutes. Press the plunger - drink. Again, not an impossible, difficult task. My Bodum French Press was the 20 ounce version, so it would make one large mug of coffee. If I wanted more, I would have to either buy a larger French Press or make another batch. Also I was growing concerned about some bad press about French Press & heart attacks (European Journal of Preventive Cardiology this year). Honestly, I was impressed with the machine brew. I tried both settings "Classic" and "Rich". I kind of liked Classic more. I drink my coffee with just whole milk, no sugar. I buy GOOD coffee. Usually from Costa Rica, which is my favorite region for coffee. Earthy, chocolate and nutty. I found compared to the French Press it was just as tasty. I didn't notice a MAJOR difference, but I think in my mind I still liked a French Press. However, I did like the fact I could make a 8 cup serving, and it is still warm and tasty 2 hours later on the 'warm' setting. I found it was very easy to clean. It does produce a lot of steam - so be warned if you have this under a counter top. I have to place my machine next to the sink, so the steam vapor can rise easily. I owned a Cuisinart a few years ago. I think this is better than that. I took a chance based upon the reviews on here. I never heard of Ninja before. I only owned this for two weeks, but if you are on the fence like me - I think its worth it.

I don't start the day without home-brewed coffee, and I don't brew the coffee without Ninja. I'm a long-time Cuisinart fan (immersion blender, coffeemaker, toaster, food processor, etc.). That is, I *was* until I discovered this Ninja by accident. After many years of use, my second Cuisinart coffeemaker finally bit the dust, so I came to Amazon to re-order it. When I put the parameters in the search bar, up came my old coffeemaker along with this Ninja. I noticed it had more review stars. I noticed it was nearly the same price. When I scanned the reviews, I noticed one that compared my old Cuisinart to this Ninja. The Ninja won. Ninja v Cuisinart: 1. Removable water reservoir with clear markings. 2. Clearly marked and backlit front panel, easy to read. 3. Better spray pattern internally over coffee grounds, better tasting coffee. 4. Warming pad adjustable for time and temperature. I still had the features I liked from the Cuisinart (self-clean, delay start), but I no longer had to put up with the inconveniences I didn't like. And the price was nearly identical. So I went with the Ninja and have not regretted it for one day since. When this one bites the dust, I'll go with Ninja again.

The Good: This brews and awesome cup of coffee and uses multiple water holes to drip through to the grounds for easy and complete grounds immersion. The timer works great and I love waking up to my coffee already made. The coffee quality is great and depends on your beans - good beans - good coffee. Keeps coffee hot. The Bad: The Mid-Brew Pause feature that says "Want a cup right away? Just pull out the carafe and pour yourself a cup mid-brew." does NOT work. If you pull out the carafe, it continues to brew and it all goes on the hot plate. I don't know if I got a defective one, but I promise you this feature is not one to highlight because it does not work. Just wait for the coffee to be done brewing and save yourself the heartache.

We are really enjoying this coffee maker. Our old coffee maker had a moldy smell no matter how many times we ran vinegar and cleaner through it. The requirement when purchasing a new coffee maker was the ability to take the machine apart and clean it. We thought about going the pour over coffee route, but let's be honest we're too lazy for that. We want to be able to wake up to a full pot of coffee. This Ninja coffee maker has been a great decision. Everything comes apart and can be put in the dishwasher. The water chamber is clear which I think will help long term. The keep warm option let's you decide how long to keep the hot plate on. There's not an overwhelming amount of uptime but there's enough to give you flexibility and control. We're super happy with this coffee maker and would recommend.

The Ninja replaced and old Mr. Coffee that I've hated for years. The ninja is easy to operate and you don't get the feeling that some marketing bozo added a bunch of features just to drive up the price. Its got a great carafe that's easy to clean, as are the rest of the parts that pull off for cleaning. I like the detachable resevoir, but found its easier for me to use a re-purposed orange juice container with a mark to fill to 6 cups to fill the resevoir. Coffee tastes great and love the Small Batch feature that I use almost every day. The Delayed brew works well and doesn't need an engineering degree to make it work. this one is a keeper.

I had a small problem figuring out how to insert the carafe, which my wife figured out. :) Great quality coffee, and with the special "rich" setting, the results are comparable to french press. (At least when I use a french press.) It is a large (tall) unit, so plan for that. We usually buy cheap, but thought we would upgrade. You can taste the difference, and it is worth it for sure. Haven't used Cuisinart, Bunn, or Krups, but don't think I would pay more unless the features were significantly better. This won't park your car, but my wife likes the removable water container and the small batch setting. We just got it this week, so I can't swear as to the durability. If there is a problem, I will update. Some other reviews have indicated that the carafe is expensive to replace. I can understand why. The design is better, particularly the "straw" that directs the flow to the bottom so that the density of each cup is uniform. So far, so good.

So I'm not a huge coffee drinker, mostly my wife is..so you may take what i say with a grain of salt. But this is a lot cooler than the older one we gave away after we moved. Some things I think are cool: - the lid comes off the top so you can just put water into the plastic piece as opposed to the coffee pot and then into the other container - you can program for when you want it to make the coffee-- like for when you wake up for example -my favorite feature is the 'keep warm' button, which will keep the coffee in the pot warm, or if you didn't use it all initially, it will just reheat it I will say I don't understand what alot of the buttons mean. For example there is a "classic" button and a "rich"button which I think denotes how strong the coffee should taste. Again, I'm not a big coffee drinker, but does that not depend just on how much coffee bean: water ratio there is? There is also a "small batch" button, which you can use for smaller amounts of cups...but again, wouldn't that just depend on how much water you put in? Might have been more useful if it actually changed the amount of water that was used (it uses all the water that you put in. Still really like it though!

We purchased this coffee pot thinking that it was going to be great. We have other Ninja products that are amazing. This coffee pot is not worth the time or money. We opened the box, plugged it in and it immediately starting beeping. It never worked, despite following all directions from the manufacturer. We checked other reviews online and this is a common problem with this model. Again, look around before you buy. This is not worth the trouble!!!

Best coffee maker we have ever had. We’ve always settled for the cheap $20 coffee makers but not this time, and it was well worth spending the extra money. We’ve only had this for one week, but the coffee tastes SO good and hot, the way it’s supposed to be. Love it!

I debated about this coffee maker, only because I generally don’t need anything too fancy, and wasn’t really looking to spend much money. What sold me was the removable reservoir, since my last one was such a pain to clean. Having said that, I’m so grateful I went with this model. I love everything about it. The coffee brew is fantastic, I love that I can make a small pot if needed, the removable reservoir is perfect...even the handy measuring spoon makes it so nice to use. I was almost deterred by reviews that complained of a plastic smell/taste, but I ran the 2 recommended cycles with only water, and never encountered any trouble. Really thrilled with this purchase.

I really loved this coffee maker until after 5 months the glass pot developed a 2 inch crack below the rim. A replacement pot is not available from the company any time soon. It's still usable for now but if I have to buy another complete coffee maker to get a new pot I'll buy a different brand. It's disappointing when something you really like goes wrong. Just a short update. I spoke to a Shark / Ninja customer rep this morning. She was willing to sell me a replacement pot for about $30. OK but it's back ordered for 4 to 6 weeks. Considering it's been unavailable for many months with to real expectation of actually getting the replacement I decided to look for a new coffee maker. The rep was great and very helpful but the company can not stand up for this product. I'm going to speculate the cracking of the pot which is well documented in other reviews is at least partially because the warmer is VERY hot and it does not have a lower setting. You might consider turning the warmer off as soon as your coffee is brewed. It may keep your pot from cracking. Again I really loved this coffee maker but must look elsewhere.

CE251 is a phenomenal 12-cup programmable coffee maker with a glass carafe. Despite sophisticated technology to yield delicious coffee, CE251 coffee machine comes at an extremely affordable price. The machine brewed coffee we loved.

There’s a lot to like about this coffee maker. It brews a hot and strong (if you choose rich setting) cup of coffee. The water reservoir is convenient to remove. I especially like the carafe. The top is easy to remove for cleaning and pouring is drip-less. It has a sturdy feel. The on/off button is slightly stiff, so when using it, you have to hold the machine when you press the button otherwise the coffee maker will move. This may get a little better as it it is used, although this is a minor thing. Other reviewers mentioned condensation, and it does do that when brewing. I just pull it out away from my cabinets.

For years I have had coffee makers where you pour the water into the machine. That leaves your shoulder at an awkward angle until you were through pouring. This maker has a side reservoir that you fill and just place in the holder. LOVE IT!!! No more shoulder problems. Husband says coffee is good too. I wouldn't know since I have a Nespresso machine for me, LOL.

I. LOVE. THIS. COFFEE MAKER! This is by far the nicest coffee maker I’ve ever owned and priced very reasonably for the quality. Admittedly, this is the first time I’ve spent more than $50 on one, but if I’d known the potential difference I’d have made the splurge a long time ago! Using the scoop provided, one level scoop per cup brewed and set on the “Rich” brew setting makes, in my opinion, the absolute perfect cup of coffee. Smooth, dark and flavorful with zero bitterness. The “Small batch” setting is awesome- brews up super quickly and can also be used with the “Rich” setting. The carafe is super sturdy and doesn’t drip at all when pouring. The reservoir is easy to remove, fill and replace, so no water mess trying to use a drippy carafe to awkwardly pour into a fixed reservoir. (That has been my experience with all of my previous $20-$50 coffee makers regardless of brand.) The machine itself is beautiful. It’s a little bigger than my previous coffee makers, but totally worth the extra few square inches of counter space it occupies to have that glorious removable reservoir. I was a little intimidated by all the buttons at very first, but once I started playing around, I found everything was quite intuitive. I have just one complaint in this regard- once the “Delay brew” has been programmed and set, the lights on the machine default back to showing whatever brew setting was used most recently and you can only verify that your delay brew settings are correct by turning delay brew off and back on again to see it show for just a brief moment which options are selected. (Kinda hard to explain without seeing the machine.) Anyway, when the delay brew setting is turned on, I think the machine should show which delay brew settings are selected OR should show no other settings selected besides delay brew. So far, this is my only gripe. I did literally just get this coffee maker yesterday, so I can’t speak to its durability yet, but construction and design quality look excellent and are exactly what I expected from Ninja. Unless you’ve got $400 to drop on a fancy automatic pour-over, buy this machine- you will not regret it.

Using this pot for over a week, and very satisfied so far. Coffee makes is easy to use, and lives up to positive reviews so far. This is a replacement for a small, inexpensive, 4 cup pot, and an old, simple 10 cup Braun. What is very apparent to my wife and I is the temperature of the coffee - nice and hot, and remains hot, yet not burned flavor for up to 2.5 hours after brewing. It is not a fast brewer, but does the job nicely, and can set delayed brew timer if you don't want to wait for your coffee to brew in morning. We prefer the Rich setting over the Classic setting, and add about a half a scoop more than recommended, but we enjoy a full bodied, slightly bolder taste, as we use milk. We also find, as we have with other coffee makers, that the brown paper filter works better than the permanent gold filter. The paper filter does a better job filtering oils and fine grinds of coffee. Gold filter is okay, but a few fine grounds often end up in last cup. Lastly, the fact that the scoop attaches to the coffee maker is a small, but appreciated feature. No misplacing the scoop! The carafe is also designed well for balance and ease of pouring. It is a little higher than our other coffee makers, so we need to pull it our from under the cabinet to make coffee, but fits underneath easily went not in use. So far, this Ninja coffee maker is a good purchase - easy to use, and makes good, hot coffee

I have bought coffeemaker after coffeemaker and after a year, each one stopped working, or started growing icky stuff in the reservoir despite regular weekly cleanings (ever wonder why a lot of coffee makers have dark colored water reservoirs?!) I finally spent a little bit more and found one I love!! I can easily remove all the pieces (including the CLEAR water reservoir) and clean them, it has a clean function, I love the features, my coffee is just right and not too cool and not scalding hot.... I’m just so glad I found a coffeemaker that works for me for a price that wasn’t insane. I’m glad I read the reviews and bought this one. I trashed my broken Mr. Coffee and packed away my expensive Keurig and this has it’s permanent home on my counter!!

I followed directions to run clean water through to prep it--8 cups took over 40 minutes to run through (and no, I didn't have the small batch button pressed). I rechecked everything just to make sure and ran another 8 cups--another 40 plus minutes--and this time water leaked out from under the unit as well. I expected much more from this given the high number of 5 star reviews and the price tag, but trust me, I will never spend a dime on another Ninja again. I'm giving two stars only because Amazon with the Kohl's drop-off made this easier, so one star is for them.

I bought this Ninja with high hopes for a great coffee maker. Was great for 2 days! My girlfriend accidentally broke the carafe. Ok, no problem just get a replacement right? Turns out, the replacements are in production anymore, and you cannot find a replacement anywhere. Not Amazon, not Ebay, not their Company website. So, do be careful buying this. Until they start producing replacement carafe's, I cannot recommend buying this.

We've been buying Cuisinart cone filter style coffee makers for 20 years. When our last maker finally gave out we decided to try the Ninja brand. Here's how it stacked up: We really liked that the water level was so easy to see AND that the reservoir is removable for both filling and cleaning. It has a little bit bigger footprint on the counter and takes a moment or two longer to brew a pot than our old machine, but the quality of the flavor is as good or better. It has a couple more selections on how to brew your pot of coffee, which is nice. Easier to program, too. I think the glass carafe is a bit heftier than other brands. No more dribbling when pouring a cup! Overall, we're very pleased that we decided to give this coffee maker a try. Will definitely consider other Ninja products when replacing items in our kitchen.

I waited a bit to write this because all of the other reviews seemed pretty new and I wanted to see how it held up over time. This is a great coffee maker! We've been using it almost daily for 6 months and it's been great this whole time. We use the delay brew so it's ready in the morning and it stays hot for 2 hours afterwards. You can press the stay warm button again after 2 hours or press the "stay warm" button to turn it off and then hit it again to make sure it stays hot for 4 hours. You can choose between rich and classic brew. Rich takes a little bit longer but it tastes great. Classic is just fine, too. We wash the pot and the filter every day to keep it working great. I like that the filter fits into this plastic container piece that won't leak when you take it out to clean out the grounds. The manual is easy to follow. Really great coffee maker and well made. It's 14.5" tall and about 10" wide. I would suggest not putting it directly under a cabinet to brew since it does emit steam from the top.

We've been through 3 different coffee makers this year from Cuisinart to Black & Decker and all have failed us for a variety of reasons. We took a chance on this (who every heard of Ninja except for Ninja Turtles?) and love it. Everything about this machine makes us smile from the intuitive programming to the included gold filter, and the easy to fill water container. Of course, the best part is the coffee! Tastes great. What more could you want in a coffee maker?

:( I was so excited about the removable water container. I thought it would mean that I didnt have to drag it out and out from under the cabinet to use it. But NO! It is very tall and the filter basket doesn't swing out. The coffee (I use Peete's) doesn't taste any different than in my old Black and Decker. It still took 10 minutes to brew 8 cups. No reason to pay almost 100 dollars for this. It's no different than a regular coffee pot. Returning.

I loved this coffee maker at first, but it started leaking water out of the bottom after three months of daily use. Ninja offers a 1-year warranty but if you purchase on Amazon then you need to pay a $19.95 shipping fee for the replacement. This is the second Ninja product I have owned that has malfunctioned, the first being a high speed blender that died after 2 years. Although I really liked the coffee maker when it worked, I cannot recommend it to others based on its ridiculously short lifespan and Ninja’s deceptive warranty advertisements. Since I originally purchased this unit based on its high number of positive reviews, I hope this will be helpful for future interested buyers - look elsewhere!

Not to gush too much, but I love everything about the Ninja coffee maker. Removable water reservoir for easy cleaning, gold mesh basket that also accepts #4 cone paper filter, the shower-style slow drip that helps ensure a good flavor capture. Even the smooth design of the broad, sloping lip of the pot makes pouring the first cup of coffee easy and drip-free. For the price, this is a superior coffee maker. We've been making two pots a day (we like our coffee), and we really love how the "rich" brew setting makes a robust, full-flavored cup. Finally, before retiring for the night, I like setting the machine to start brewing at 5:40 am, then walking into the kitchen at 6:00 am to find a pot made and ready to pour my first cup of the day. Pure bliss.

I've been using my Ninja CE251 coffee maker for a couple of weeks now and am so glad I purchased it. This was not the top-rated coffee maker but in the end, the removable water reservoir won me over. I was initially concerned it would be too large for my countertop location, but that is not so, it's only a little wider than my previous one. I'm amazed at how much better the coffee tastes. I actually need to use less coffee than before. The water reservoir is so much easier to fill, the markings easier to read and it can be cleaned in the dishwasher, a real bonus! I like having the measuring spoon attached and, handy. I didn't like the reusable filter but was glad it came with it so I could try one. I am happier with the paper filters, and because of the removable filter holder with a handle, they are easier to remove and carry to the compost. We'll see about the reliability but honestly, if it lasts a year or two I would buy it again.

When not broken, this coffee maker is great. BUT we've had 2 of them that lasted only months each. The carafe is glass, and not durable glass. One broke while washing it. The bottom edge hit the facet head, chipping a hole in the bottom. We overlooked this one occurrence, and bought another coffee maker... we didn't buy a replacement carafe because the product is sold out. Funny how that worked out. Then months into the 2nd purchase, we were soaking some silverware in it in the sink, and when we emptied it, the bottom was shattered. And again, the replacement product is sold out. We're buying another brand and not getting a glass carafe ever again. One we can overlook, but not 2.

The carafe (as others have mentioned) is really designed well so that you don't spill when pouring. It's easy to program. The only reason I gave ease of use 4 instead of 5 stars is that the removable tank is a bit awkward to fill and get seated back in place without spilling if you are filling past 8 cups. It comes with a lid. Put it on after filling before you try to put back in place. Or best way, just fill the carafe and pour the water into the already in place tank. Classic setting provides a great brew. Coffee is HOT and the warmer keeps it that way. I've had it less than a month so I haven't had to run a cleaning cycle yet. But the heating elements are made of aluminum so I expect that I'll have to do that about every 30 days with the hardness of my water. The last coffee maker I had was a Braun that cost about about the same price and last 4 years. That's a little better than average for me and I do run frequent cleanings. I'm hoping to get the same or better with this one.

We’ve had a difficult time finding a decent coffee maker after abandoning our keurig for something that wouldn’t sound like a rocket launcher while brewing a larger quantity of coffee. We came across this thing in an Air bnb and LOVED IT! It looks good and appears sturdy, the coffee has a nice robust flavor to it and the filter can be used without disposable millita filters if preferred. Brew coffee quicksand keeps it hot long enough for everyone to finish their morning cup(s). Only con is that it won’t stop dropping when the pot is removed during a brewing cycle. Not a big deal considering it takes maybe a minute a cup. Overall great little coffee maker!

I really enjoy using it every day. Pro: 1. Removable clear water reservoir, helps to see if anything is growing in it 2. It catches water drips when opened top, not dripping behind the machine Cons: 1. Not easy to drain coffee entirely out of pot due to rim that has gab ( found there was a type of silicone but wasn't filled well, left some space) 3. Coffee drips while pouring coffee before brewing was done

My wife has only brewed 6 and 12 cup pots of fresh ground and it does that very well. We have been using the timer almost every morning. We are foodies and coffee is one of our things, but don't have time for a French press. The best features are: the bold setting, the lids on the carafe latches, the coffee in the carafe is at 140*F hours later, the pause brew doesn’t drip on the hot plate, the clear water chamber is removable for easy RO filling and the coffee is NOT plastic tasting. It is easy clean when only using purified water. We have not had any problem issues.

The coffee maker is a good design, coffee is good, already provides a gold metal mesh filter but use a #4 cone paper filter anyway, detachable reservoir is convenient, I did notice that the glass carafe stains easily and apparently permanently, I scrubbed it with a sponge, a bristle pad and 1 of those magic eraser pads and it is still yellowed and dirty looking. The machine itself is a bit slow on brewing, which isn't really a problem, but man it does make a lot of loud gurgling noise, nothing I can't live with though.

I really thought my old Cuisinart coffee maker was good (lower end model) until I tried this Ninja coffee maker. So smart to make the water reservoir removable. Seems like a small thing but it's so useful. I only use the rich setting and at least with the coffee I use I put in 1.5 level scoops per 5oz of water. That seems to be perfect for strong but not crazy strong coffee. One small gripe is the buttons are a little tough to push and I have to almost hold the back of the machine while pushing them just so the machine doesn't slide on the table. Overall if you're using a 4-7 year old basic coffee maker you should treat yourself to this Ninja. It heats up to the perfect temperature and that is everything when it comes to making great coffee.

Ordered this coffe maker because of reviews. However it didnt work for me. The delay brew did not function correctly. The time kept on changing. I thought maybe i did something wrong. Followed the directions listed. It just wouldnt stay set. Time on clock would change too. However it did make a good cup of coffee. Sad to have to return.

I think this is by far my favorite coffee maker to date. The side reservoir has nice dark markings so you can see to fill without having to squint or point a flashlight at it (unlike some other pots where the markings blend in with background color of the reservoir). Also, the water reservoir is removable if you want to carry it to the sink instead of having to pour water from another method. The coffee tasted wonderful straight away, and I love that you can adjust the flavor from Classic to Rich. It also comes with a coffee scoop attached to the machine - Genius! Love, Love, Love this coffee maker, totally worth the extra money.

Had ce250 the water reservoir lasted 7 months before it started leaking. Called customer service they sent me a new one. In the mid time I had ordered ce251. They have a problem with value on the water reservoir that doesn't last very long by removing it to fill up. So have decided to not remove to fill up. This is the only negative I have about it.

Update: I finally got around to calling Ninja support. My wait time was less than a minute. I talked to a very helpful lady and had a new coffee maker on the way in under 5 minutes! 5 star on customer service! It has been a couple months with the new one and no issues so far! Rated 4 stars because the replacement cost me an additional $20 in shipping. Overall this coffee pot is worth the money. If it makes it a year, I would probably order another one. Original review: I am incredibly disappointed in this coffee maker. I researched for hours and finally decided on this one. My first Ninja product. I was very impressed at first. It is very pleasing to the eye, the water reservoir is genius, the locking carafe lid is awesome. No spills! It also actually pours a no drip cup of coffee mid brew with a press of the brew button to halt brew and hit it again to restart. The delay brew worked and most importantly... it made a HOT cup of delicious, glorious coffee. I really didn’t notice a difference between classic and bold brew. Coffee tasted the same whether you brewed 4 cups or a full pot. And if you decided to reheat that half a pot you didn’t get to earlier, it still tasted good and not that gross burnt coffee flavor that can happen reheating coffee. The “straw” in the carafe is kind of weird and unnecessary, as is the power button, but it was still a 5 star product. Why the 1 star? 6 weeks in it would start beeping about 15-20 times and then just stop. It turned into the beeping not stopping until you shut the coffee maker off. Then the hot plate got really hot for the last week or so. Today it won’t brew and the hot plate is completely dead. It was maintained and cleaned regularly. It didn’t even make it 4 months. I hope I just got a dud and Ninja stands behind their warranty. If they do, I will happily give this product a 5 star rating.

I made two pots of coffee (6 cups each time) before returning this. First time I used the enclose scoop and the second time I used a larger scoop that came with my grinder. The first pot on classic setting made extremely weak coffee. The second time I used a larger scoop on rich setting and it was better but nowhere near as good as my old Krups moka brewer. The resuable coffee filter and plastic cone it sits in are easy to remove but drip a small of water/coffee. Be prepared to wipe the drips each time you clean the filter. The water reservoir is easy to remove but it's bulky shape make it difficult to fill if you have filtered water from the fridge. When brewing coffee there is a lot more steam coming off the top of the unit then my old coffee maker. I wouldn't brew the coffee under wooden cabinets which means pulling it forward each time. Going back to my old coffee maker.

I want to love this coffee maker but it has serious flaws. If the delay function means anything to you just keep looking. If the permanent filter means anything to you just keep looking. I have tried to set the delay function too many times now. I do exactly as the manual states. It either brews a pot immediately or brews at the time I set but only makes some coffee and seeps the rest onto my countertop. I do not overfill the water reservoir. I have never even made a full pot. The filter it comes with is a pathetic joke. Your pot will have a gross film in record time and your coffee full of grounds. I purchased #4 cone filters and they work well. It does make the hottest cup of coffee I’ve ever had at home. I guess that’s worth two stars.

1) First the water reservoir cracked because it slipped from my hands and chipped a whole in the bottom (I am shocked it broke that easily - it didn’t even fall that far.) Replacement part was not available for a month. 2) Now today, I set the coffee pot on my granite counter top...set, not slammed, and it cracked. I went to reorder the pot, and of course it is unavailable. So for the second time in 4 months, and $100 later, I don't have a coffee maker. I'll have to spend another $25, not including shipping, when it's finally available. I've had a coffee maker in my kitchen for twenty-five years and have never dealt with this happening before. 3) Please save your money and get a Mr. Coffee. The coffee is not that much better in this coffee maker to warrant the high price tag and unavailable replacement parts. 4) This is going to sound like I'm bitter, but no - this is an honest review. I like things aesthetically pleasing. I never liked the large Ninja logo embossed on the front, but thought it wouldn't bother me, because I was excited about the good reviews and removable water reservoir. It just looks industrial in my kitchen, and I do not like advertising in my kitchen with a larger than life Ninja logo on my coffee maker. Nit-picky, but not attractive.

I was first, a Keurig k-cup user before I knew anything about good coffee, then I was introduced to french press coffee and loved it and became quite a coffee snob. although its a bit tedious and I drink a lot of coffee so I was looking for something that was easier. this coffee maker is great, I love the quality coffee it makes and its so nice to program it and have hot coffee ready for me in the morning.

The clock didn’t work out of the box (clock ran slow). A week later it wouldn’t brew coffee. Tried cleaning it to no avail. Spent a lot of money for this coffee machine because I love coffee, but now I use a $10 coffee maker. Threw away the box so I don’t have the proper packaging to send it back, either way they charge you for using the Ninja warranty. Extremely disappointed with this product. Not one for writing bad reviews, but when you mess with my coffee it strikes a nerve.

I’ve owned one of just about every kind of coffee maker over the years and always found at least one annoying feature about every one until now. This is the best coffee maker I’ve found for the money. Easy to use, easy to fill, easy to clean, doesn’t spill coffee when you pour it, makes good coffee. Your coffee maker should always be your best morning buddy. My Ninja is mine !

Great basic coffee maker! No 200 options to choose from.. no frothier stuck on the side.. no pods.. just a fabulous coffee maker! The design is awesome.. water tank is easy to carry, filter is easy to access, pot is an excellent no-drip shape, lid locks into place...etc - solved all the typical design failures of other brands. In terms of functions you can choose "classic" or "rich" brew, you can program when brewing starts, you can choose to keep hot or not... simple! LOVE IT!! AND IT DOES A GREAT JOB OF BREWING THE COFFEE!!

Our previous coffee maker had a stainless carafe and the warming plate did not stay on for very long. Love this Ninja model! The warming plate can be programmed to be on up to 4 hours. The refillable water tank is so easy to use and eliminates any spillage when previously pouring water into a unit. It has taken us a little time figuring out the number of scoops of coffee compared to our old maker. We have switched to the "Rich" mode for fuller flavor without having to use more grounds as we did when it was on "Classic." Really pleased wit this purchase. Would definitely recommend and would purchase again if needed.

I was looking for a replacement for my 20 year old Krups coffee maker. I didn't expect much from "Ninja" and, after purchasing their excellent blender, was pleasantly surprised. "Ninja" is 2 for 2 in my book. Their coffee maker draws all the water out of the reservoir and brews an excellent pot of coffee. It is a solid unit and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality coffee maker.

I loved my last ninja coffee maker and this one also makes great coffee. BUT, the configuration is not user friendly. The water holder is very unwieldy and I can’t fill it completely as it spills in the 3ft I have to carry it. The lid also comes off instead of having a hinge. It is likely to get lost if I’m in a hurry. Also all the pats (filter and water section) have to be lifted up in order to fill them. So I can’t have it under a cabinet. Also the small batch setting only works for a small batch if only a few cups of water is in the dispenser. If the dispenser is full of water, that’s how many cups of coffee is made, regardless of the small batch bottom being pressed. Although the coffee is really good, I would not recommend the brewing system.

I replaced a Krups unit with this Ninja brewer and am very pleased with the results. Coffee brews quickly and tastes fine. The unit sits on a counter, so appearance is important, too - looks great. Pros: - Removable clear reservoir with easy-to-read markings makes filling easy. A better approach than using the carafe and then pouring into a hole as on many other brands. - two brew strengths - uses #4 filters or filter basket (provided) - setting for smaller volume brewing - nice display/control panel. Auto shutoff if on too long. - no drips from basket when carafe is removed Cons (nothing important) - opening the lid immediately after brewing may cause a few drops (of water, not coffee, as far as I can tell) to drip through the hinge area onto the warming plate. This happens mainly if you open it right after brewing. I'd recommend this machine if you want a capable and flexible coffee brewer. Doesn't grind beans, make espresso, or steam milk - simple is better, in this case.

I love this coffee maker. I have tried several others that were difficult to clean which caused a bitter taste. But, this one is easy to use and a breeze to clean. The reservoir for the water can be cleaned to eliminate hard water build up. This brewer was purchased for use by the entire office. Hope it last longer than the other ones we purchased.

I had a need for a second coffee maker for my art studio. This company has spent quite a bit of time on the research and engineering of this coffee maker. The removable side water tank is wonderful! No more sloshing water everywhere trying to fill through a small, hard to reach reservoir. The spout allowing the coffee to merge and blend the entire pot is great! Many thought out features to make your coffee life easier. Of course these details mean nothing if a good cup of coffee is not brewed. It excels at this. I have a Technivorm at home and while this Ninja system is not equal to that. It does a very respectable job. No complaints at all. Woth your investment.

I bought this because I already have a Ninja air fryer, and really like it. This coffee maker is enough to make me a Ninja fan! Well designed, and really easy to use (the design makes everything very intuitive). All the little touches are there, and it makes 8 cups in less than minutes. Note this model has an "Infusion" cycle when it starts up to allow the coffee to "bloom". 9/10 would recommend and would buy again!

I have been using this coffee maker for over a week now, and LOVE IT. The removable reservoir is a great addition and it makes filling water so much easier. No more finding the perfect angles to fill the water and splilling it everywhere. I make 2 cups of coffee every morning and the “small batch” feature is perfect for it. Great coffee maker.

First time in my life I can say I LOVE a coffee maker. I honestly didn't even know a coffee maker could bring so much joy, but here we are. The reservoir for the water is removable to fill, which is very convenient and easy to use. I have enjoyed the basket filter as well with zero problems. I read some reviews about grounds in the coffee while using the filter but I have not had this problem and used several different kinds of coffee and size of grounds. Every cup has been excellent and I don't think I will ever buy another brand of coffee maker.

Update: the sneak a cup feature does work. I didn't have the carafe lid completely tightened when I first tried it. Updating to 5 stars. I bought this to replace an old Mr. Coffee that had some of the same features like preset brewing and rich (called strong on Mr coffee version) brew option. Pros: great flavor, easy to fill water reservoir, carafe design means no spills, reusable filter, preset brew option. Cons: the feature for pouring a cup mid brew just doesn't work. To be fair, it didn't work on my old machine either. This is the only con or I'd give it 5 stars. Would definitely buy again and am still extremely pleased overall.

We have had this in service for a little over a week now. It makes great coffee, is easy to fill, and easy to clean. The carafe makes pouring quick with no spills, the broad lip on the edge takes care of that tendency to over pour when you need that first cup. It has good extra features, small batch, clean feature, and warmer tray button for reaming left overs, which so far there are not day to day. We would buy again. It compliments my Ninja blender station which I also love!

This Ninja coffee pot is no regular coffee pot! We dumped our expensive Keurig after a couple of years of expensive pods and unsuccessful descalings, to revert back to a regular coffee pot and grinding our own beans. We are so satisfied with the Ninja because it's easy to clean, the screen filter it comes with saves money and landfills from paper filters, and so far it has brewed a perfect pot of coffee every time with full flavor and no messes to clean up! Save your money and the environment, dump your Keurig for this Ninja!

I love this coffee maker. The footprint fits perfectly where I need it to live. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because it has a clock to set and programming for the delay for morning coffee which is all lost when electricity goes out, which it does often due to SDGE electric company turning everyone off when it is windy. Then there is my husband not wanting to feed the electric company with all the little gadget lights and such ....so he is known to go by and unplug things. Then I have to set time and reprogram my delay. Why don’t devices with clocks and settings dependent on being plugged in have a battery backup?!?! Would be so easy. I have one clock like that. I think same clock backup battery has lasted over 10 years. So yes, I love this coffee maker (when it stays with electricity). Coffee tastes very good. I have finally given up paper filters.

Wow! I've only had this a few weeks, but I had to chime in. This is not your Mom's coffee maker, by any means. It has a separate detachable water tank, keeping you from having to pour water onto your machine. It's fast and easy. The top has a shower head design, evenly distributing hot water all over the coffee grounds, not just the middle. Plus, in "rich" mode, it pulses, stops and starts, just like pour-over! A small serving option allows for this process to be implemented properly. It's very easy to clean. Use #4 cone type filters for best performance. You'll find the integrated scoop attached to the left side of the unit.

Really love this coffee maker. Simple to use and clean. Other coffee makers, I've owned, have said they have a "dripless feature" when you pour a cup before the brew is finished, but the coffee would always drip a little and burn on the warming plate, eventually causing it to blister. This machine doesn't leak a drop when you pour a cup early & even a couple of hours later, the coffee tastes fresh-brewed, not bitter. Has everything I wanted and looks good on top of it all.

I really love the separate water reservoir on this machine. I always hated pouring semi fresh water in the back of a regular coffee maker. I doubt anyone washes their glass pot everyday. Just rinse and reuse. Seemed a bit dirty to me. Anyway having the separate reservoir solves this. It's perfect. It makes good coffee, actually better than our Mr Coffee maker. It's a bit slower to finish but the coffee is better. The clock is bright white. I love everything about this coffee maker. I love the clean look.

The removable water tank is nice but the top opening is so convenient I just fill it from the pot after washing it out. I like how slowly it put the water through, That makes the coffee taste great. Faster coffee makers make weak coffee and adding more grounds won't correct for that. For me, a slow brew tastes much better. Good quality machine.

Best coffee maker I’ve had - makes a great cup! Heavy duty and not cheap materials. Buttons work well and not cheap feeling. Caraf is heavy duty and not thin glass and I like that you can get your whole hand easily all the way in it to clean when it’s top is off. Graduated cup markings are very easy to see and right in front, not on side of fill container. Heats hotter than other cheaper makers. Gold filter basket easy to use and clean. Nice programmable features also. Will buy another Ninja coffee maker if needed in future, but I can see this one lasting a very long time.

I love this coffee maker! It is easy to use, easy to fill the removable water container and therefore easy to clean. I always felt my previous coffee makers probably had mold and dirt even though we ran vinegar or cleaners through them. The coffee with the Ninja tastes great, it's hot, and the carafe does not drip. Everything we could want in a coffee maker!

Does everything well. I especially like the detachable water reservoir. I usually spilled water when pouring into my old coffeemaker. With this one you bring the reservoir to the sink and then return it to the coffeemaker, so no more spills. It brews well in small batches or a whole carafe. No plastic taste as far as I can tell. The timer is easy to set and the coffee does not taste burnt if you leave it on the heater for a long time. So, everything good, glad I got it.

When I got the coffee pot and I opened up the box where the digital part is it was broken the bottom plastic is broke on it the metal is dented in around that part I don't have time to return it the coffee pot works great but I'm not very happy that I got a broken coffee pot. If it wasn't for the dents and the cracked plastic I would have rated at five stars

So I really enjoy the look of this item, I like the way the pot feels in my hands, I like the ease of use. However a big selling point for me was that you didn't need strainers (single use). We have ended up having to use them anyways because a lot of the coffee grounds are getting into the pot somehow. Minor inconvenience but when it was a large reason why you purchased something it is frustrating.

Choose this updated version after reading a million (+-) reviews. It covered all the must haves and looks good. Performs very well for all amounts (4-12 cups). Flavor & temperature are both very good. Use filtered Brita water, so not having to fill carafe to measure is nice, just remove lid & fill reservoir to level. Carafe & warming plate has very nice in-out feel (seats well & smooth). The only engineering upgrade would be a perforated reservoir lid to help release condensation that forms on reservoir sidewalls. I may drill (6-10) 1/4 inch holes in lid just to see. Other than that I would recommend this product.

Wonderful product if you like things that last 60 days. Makes great coffee, and design is great. Love everything about it except it didn’t make it 2 months. This is the first Ninja product I've owned, and I was immediately impressed with the quality. Even though it costs about the same as other "mid-to-highish-end" coffee makers, the density of the plastic was the first thing that struck me. Second was the ergonomics of both the pot and the water reservoir. I have yet to spill a drop of coffee with this pot (always a challenge with my previous Cuisinart coffee maker), and the reservoir offers a perfect grip to port over to the water dispenser in the fridge. The "rich" setting and the "small batch" setting both make a difference - I have no idea how - but I get a closer taste to European coffee with this coffee maker than any other, and with much less plastic or filter taste. The coffee pot lid is very secure, though getting the lid to seat properly can be tricky (hence the 4- vice 5-stars). All in all, I love it and would buy it again!

This is an independent review... I bought the coffeemaker on a whim hoping it would pan out... and I must say that I absolutely LOVE this coffee maker. Everything about the design makes complete sense starting with the removable water reservoir that makes it so easy to wash compared to a basic coffee maker where it's built into the main unit and you basically wash the reservoir on "clean" mode (they always get nasty over time). Secondly, the different brews you can make, starting with "small batch" which I love because I only make two cups in the morning. It can be difficult to get the right taste for a small batch on a 12 cup maker. It also has "classic" or "rich" brews which you can tell the difference. Classic is exactly what it sounds like, classic taste, while rich is a little stronger if you like stronger coffee, which I do! Lastly, there's a tablespoon scooper that attaches to the side of the unit which is very convenient. I haven't had the maker long, my only hope is that it lasts! Love the design!

I've had many many coffee makers over the years and this Ninja is the best one I've ever bought. It's incredibly easy to use and figure out for delay settings/keeping warm time etc but the thing I love the most is the carafe. I've never had a carafe with a coffee maker that was this amazing. The design of it prevents any "spillage" when pouring a cup of coffee and it's aesthetically pleasing as well. Clean up is a breeze and the removable tank for water is a huge plus as well. The coffee tastes incredible and I'll buy another one of these when/if this one ever dies. I'd give it a 10 if possible!!
