With five separate cooking options, it handles everything from pancakes and sausages to grilled cheese to steaks, hamburgers and Panini sandwiches. The Cuisinart grill features a floating cover and dual temperature controls and a selector switch to operate the grill and griddle independently. It also uses removable dishwasher-safe nonstick cooking plates for easy meals and clean-up. In addition, a power on indicator light lets you know when the surface is hot and ready for cooking. This panini grill is constructed of brushed stainless steel with cool-touch housing that helps prevent accidental burns. This set also includes a pair of drip cups, a cleaning/scraping tool and a recipe book to help you get started. The floating cover adjusts to foods of different thicknesses and the unit offers the option to use the grill or griddle or half of each.

It takes a little time to reach the desired temperature, but once it reaches the necessary heat, it is easy to use cleaning. The meat is imprisoned on both sides and takes less cooking times. We put fish and vegetables in. Not very large size, but for a family of 4 members it works super.

Love it. Its exactley what i had anticipated! Out of the box, cooking steak immediatley. Very easy to clean, let it cool first. grill plates get very hot. Felt the cooking times in the guide were a bit quick, but that does all depend on the thinkness of steaks your cooking.

I spent a good deal of time trying to determine the difference between the GR-300 and the GR-150. All the specifications of the grills seemed to be the same, accept that the GR-300 has a display for the temperature and timer. I did not see how this small difference in functionality was enough to justify the difference in price. One small difference in the videos made me investigate further, but I did not see the difference described anywhere, in the owners manuals or on the cuisinart web site...but the video showed me something. Did anyone else notice it? Or did I completely miss some reference to the difference? WELL! I purchased the GR-300 and also inadvertently purchased the GR-150 and confirmed my suspicion of the difference! (I returned the GR-150)

While the grill/griddle plates are removable and easy to clean, the BIG difference is that with the GR-300 the heating element is sandwiched BETWEEN the grill/griddle plates. The heating elements on the GR-150 are exposed beneath the grill/griddle plate. Though I did not test, it would seem that the GR-300 would heat up more rapidly since the heating element is part of the plate structure itself.

I also like that the readout panel shows you the settings. I have made a number of dishes on the gr-300 and really enjoy using it. Very easy to clean up. It takes a few minutes to get up to 450 degrees, but it's a very nice, sturdy unit.
