So far so good. I bought it when the price was right. I had a panasonic of the same size which died within the warranty period. A service made the reparation with difficulties. Panasonic and their service are pretending that the low level product is bad because the user is using it for cooking in a kitchen and not in a "clean room" like in a laboratory, lol. And panasonic decided not to accept any more repair further in the remaining warranty period. I decided never again buy anything from panasonic. Danby microwave come to the rescue, panasonic collects dust in my basement. I knew the Danby company from the refrigerator market. Have a couple of their excellent products. This microwave oven is not only highly competitive product technically, but much much nicer, cleaner and better look than any competitor. Not to mention, that it is the cheapest and inside out stainless steel. Only time can show how durable it is. So far, so good, I am pleasantly satisfied!

I had a Panasonic microwave for 2 years. The program seemed going erratic - it turned on whenever the door was opened. I was disappointed by the quality and threw it away. Since I had never used those fancy features in Panasonic microwave, I didn't want to pay extra for those useless features. Now I changed to Dandy and I have had it for about a month. So far, no issue with it.

I have only had it a week. I bought it based on the good reviews even though I hadn't heard of the Danby brand. It arrived on time and was packed well. It seems like a good microwave for the money so far. The first thing we made was microwave popcorn and set it for 3 minutes, which is the time we set our last microwave (same wattage) for. It burned at 2.5 minutes and the kitchen was filled with smoke. It has a popcorn setting and we tried that next time. It is only 1 minute, 15 seconds and the popcorn wasn't near finished so we had to keep adding 30 seconds at a time. It burned too because it burns before the popping slows down. Some other foods seem to cook hotter than they should too. I'll keep trying to find the right timing. It is quieter than our last one (a Magic Chef) and looks nice. One thing our last microwave and this microwave have in common that we don't like is the succession of 5 very loud beeps when the time is up. It seems like 3 beeps should be plenty and they don't need to be so loud. I'm cautiously optimistic and am glad that I bought an extended warranty just in case.

Gets the job done and great price. The microwave is medium sized not ideal if you want a large microwave that can hold larger plates. I have a set of large square dinner plates that I can not use with this microwave but can comfortably get normal sized circle plates in it.

just arrived yesterday--fits in spot where I wanted it to & looks very attractive sitting there.... made tea this morning and microwave ran quietly and fast...not used to a 1.1 cubic ft. size....now to learn all the other features by reading the booklet (besides setting the clock) the keys seem clear enough to learn...

Except for being a bit loud while running, this Danby unit works just fine, and has a spacious interior. So far I am satisfied with this purchase.

The microwave is great. It is easy to operate and price was the real deal. I went on consumer reports and narrowed my search to this product.

The Microwave arrived badly damaged. It was packaged only in its display package with nothing else to protect it while being shipped. Other companies use a second box and extra cushion. I was left with the choice of returning it to the nearest store or wait 3 weeks to get my money back. The refund did not include shipping and handling charge.

Happy with this product. Looks good and works fine. Only negative is that their is no buton that has a quick start of 30 seconds like all other units. You have to manually key in the time you want.
