I read the reviews and there are always some bad ones in there with the good ones. Overall, this got decent reviews and I was looking for an inexpensive replacement. Save your time - it was great for the first few months but now is losing its power. Still heats, but but popcorn bags don't even cook fully and it takes about 10 minutes to cook 1 small potato. It is prob too late to take it back to the store so I will be calling Danby and see what happens from here. If nothing then it was a waste of money. Double the investment and actually get something that will last a few years.

I hesitated to buy this microwave because it was 1000 watts and my previous one was 1100, but the price was excellent and I love the look of it. I have been very happy with it thus far. I haven't done much cooking in it yet, just reheating, but it seems to do the job just as well as my old 1100watt. The entire cabin inside and out is stainless steel. More expensive looking than what I paid. Now I just hope it lasts.

Bought this model to replace a Magic Chef purchased in July 2011 which failed. So far this has been a great performer. Wanted a microwave with a handle, and this was one of the few offered. For the bargain price it works very well, looks great and does not disappoint. The proof will be in the long term.

Found it time consuming & tedious to find a product, that did not have too many minuses at a reasonable price. None of them seem to have the build quality of those made in the states years ago. I saw what looks like the Emerson version of this one in the store without stainless, but didn't care for it. When I saw the stainless version on the Walmart site, I was interested, but reluctant to go for it based on only a handful of reviews on Walmart's site, although positive, and very few reviews elsewhere. My expections were high considering I've had two micro's, one lasting 23 yrs (Whirlpool#, and one that I gave my neice, which is over 25 years old and still runnning well #Kenmore.# Anyway, I liked the stainless inside and out idea for easy maintenance & an up-to-date look, so I ordered it on a Weds & got it on Friday, & shipping was free. It reheats well, and I cooked a couple eggs this morning #in small covered greased containers with the yokes poked with a sharp knife point), which came out almost perfect ..have to fine-tune that new trick. Frozen dinner went well too the night before. I like that the LED readout is easy to see, however the buttons are a little small even for my average hands, and do require some pressure. Unlike a lot of micros, this one does not make an absurdly loud timer sound ..it's just right, but does not repeat & I'm fine with that. I found the repeating buzzer annoying. One minor itch is that _closing the door_ is loud, although that may be because it's all stainless. Well, all stainless except a couple grey plastic panels on the top & bottom of the door ..a minor disappointment. I got the 1-year extended coverage for $6, which with the 18-month Danby warranty makes for 2 & 1/2 years. If you're Canadian, you automatically get 2 more months free. Plus there's a French language control pannel cover for those who prefer it, oo la la ;-)

So far we are pleased with this product, however, we haven't used it but 2 weeks. I will say that we purchased this brand Danby after doing research and finding that reviews for the Danby were better than most. Time will tell.

I looked all over for a microwave that would fit under my kitchen cabinets and run across this one althought I didn't know anything about the brand. It is such a sleek looking design and fits perfectly under my cabinets. I love a microwave with a handle on the door and this has everything I wanted. The buttons are very easy to program. It's fast and has a turntable that cooks food evenly.. Just an all around great microwave...

It's a great microwave with stainless steel. Easy to operate and works well. Have not discovered all the features yet as of this time. It's worth the money buying in Walmart and I wll buy again my next kitchen appliance.

I looked at many microwaves with how it looks and works being more important than cost. I am so excited to have paid so little for a really good looking microwave (inside and out) that works great! The stainless is beautiful and I love that the door has a handle.

This was the least expensive stainless microwave I could find (across many different websites) that had a stainless box as well as front panels. I considered the Emerson 0.9 cu ft Microwave Oven, Stainless Steel Front Finish because it was cheaper, but it was very chincy and junky. The 1.1 cubic ft of the Danby boasts 1000 watts of power, and you would be surprised what a difference this makes in cooking time. The Danby is a great size for us, in that it's not so big that it takes up an entire wall's worth of counter space, but it's not so small that a large dinner plate won't fit and it takes 10 minutes to cook your food. This great little machine does exactly what it says with no problems, and it's very attractive in design. The only quirk about it that I would change is that it has a very loud "beep" when you press the buttons, but this is by no means a deterrent to purchase. I highly recommend this microwave if you're looking for something around the 1.1 cu.ft. area. Great purchase.
