Really flimsy. Cover come off. All the numbers on the temperature knob faded away. I can see 300 degrees and that's about it. Spend the extra money and get something that holds up more than 6 months/

The perfect toaster oven. Very pleased. This is the first time I have bought Hamilton Beach. I really like the size not to bulky for my small counter. It toasts perfectly. I also like the way the door tilts back. My other toaster the door came forward onto the cutting board. This is a much better design.

I purchased this to replace the same one that I'd had for 6+ years. We use it on a daily basis so I was pleased with it lasting that long. One day the heating element just didn't work. I love that the door opens wide and the overall aesthetic. The new one worked great at first, as expected. Now when we turn it on it makes a loud noise until it heats up maybe and that's a little annoying. I might decide to return it just because it's a noise that the toaster oven probably shouldn't make.

It works OK for the price. Advantages: small size and footprint; easy access door; price. Disadvantages: only 1 heating element on the top and bottom and they have metal cover over them I assume to distribute heat more evenly; no Broil option, so for broiling the directions say to move shelf to upper height, so no way to toast one side of bagel only.

Pros: lid lifts up for easy access; can see progress on broiling; good capacity]; glass lid comes off easily for cleaning Cons: doesn't toast evenly; requires unplugging when done; heat elements on both top and bottom run when baking, which can burn the top of a food; uneven heating, needing monitoring

I have been using this toaster oven for a few weeks. The size and style are very good and it heats up quickly and is very easy to clean. It toasts bread OK, but found it hard to get the whole piece of bread to brown. evenly It was very difficult to read the markings on the dials as they were very small and faint.

The element on the top of the oven snapped after about a year. There are no replacement parts internally so you can't fix it. Need to upgrade your elements to better quality. otherwise a well made product and worked great till it gave up. Should have lasted a lot longer like 8-10 years

Although I have to admit that I like the design of this, it does not clean well. I just cooked plain chicken cutlets in it and the juice stained the top of the oven. Most of the oven is coated with a strong gray paint. However, the top is exposed metal. The front edge of the oven now has stains on it from spatter and it doesn't come off. I uploaded a picture. That is from 1 use.

I was looking to replace my old toaster oven with a more compact design, however, we do use the broil feature which a traditional toaster does not have. I came across this version from Hamilton Beach and based on reviews and price decided to order. It is the best toaster oven I have ever used. The sliding door feature is terrific - fewer burns on my hands and lets the toaster fit in a smaller space. The door pops off for easy cleaning and the included bottom tray means easier crumb clean up. The toast and broil functions work quite well and seem to heat evenly throughout.

Good overall features, but I have two complaints: the toaster should have an automatic shut-off when the door is opened in order to temporarily suspend the cooking process; if you set the length of time for cooking longer than needed and remove the food, the oven will needlessly stay on until the time cycle is completed. Also the knobs for setting temperature and time cycles are inadequate. The small bump on each chrome knob used to point at the various settings is very difficult to see.
