This personal oatmeal maker is just the thing to make a quick, delicious, healthy breakfast. Add your ingredients, lock the handle, and press the start button (or separate button if using steel cut oats.) Once you're done cooking your oatmeal or other hot cereal, it's a breeze to clean up. It also cooks up rice perfectly! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The concept was good but the perfomance of this product did meet up to my expectations. It took more time to use this product than to use the microwave. It was hard to get the pot out while it was still hot. Nice try..... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Worked fine with instant oatmeal. I don't have any regular oatmeal on hand. I had issues with steel cut oats only making a serving for one. It bubbled up and made a mess in the lid but in the plus side the steel cut turned out better than any other way I have cooked it including an instant pot. Mixed results, mixed feelings. I've had this for a month and have used it for oatmeal, grits and rice. Grits and rice cooked perfectly. I'm still working on the right proportions for oatmeal as I prefer more texture but it does a great job if you like creamy oatmeal. I love the small size. I keep it right next to the oatmeal in a cupboard. The insert is dishwasher safe but it's just as easy to wash by hand. You do have to be careful when removing the pan. It's very hot and there's no handle so it's a little tricky. A handle on the pan would be helpful. All in all, this is a great little cooker. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This makes consistently great oatmeal! Follow the simple instructions and let the oatmeal maker do the work. I like to add a tsp of cinnamon and toasted pecans; hands down better taste than instant. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Upon arrival I read the instructions for use & care, a bit disappointed that I couldn't find how long each cycle was. I started with steel cut oatmeal- our families favorite- it turned out terrific! Added dried fruit the next time, all turned out great. Best part I can start the cereal and then complete my morning routine and it is ready. I don't have a worry on how it will turn out. I have tried rice in it a couple of times now- turns out slightly moist and really fluffy. It is Great!!! I don't have quick cooking grits but can't wait to try it. Only negative-the cord could be a bit longer. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The product arrived in excellent condition and when I opened the box, was surprised at how small it was. I was a little skeptical on how this would really work. The first morning I made regular oatmeal, as per the instructions. It cooked quickly and came out perfect. The next morning, I added a little vanilla and cranraisens using the same instructions. Also, came out perfect. So the next meal I thought I would try white rice. Was I surprised at how quick it cooked and how perfect the rice came out. This little oatmeal maker it a great little device and does not take up hardly any counter space. Oh, and cleaning is a snap. No dishwasher or metal spoons. I have prepared single servings of oatmeal (both from rolled oats and steel-cut oats) and long-grain enriched white rice in this device, and got perfectly-cooked results each time. Cream of Wheat prepared per the instructions leaflet "exploded" messily, however, which I believe was largely due to the relatively large amount of water called for. (To fine-tune those instructions, I would probably start by reducing the amount of water to match that called for when preparing grits.) The cooking time required (15-25 minutes for what I prepared) obviously makes this less convenient that prepping instant oatmeal or rice in the microwave; however, the improved consistency makes it well worth adjusting one's schedule (f.ex., by putting on oatmeal just before showering and getting dressed in the morning). Cleanup of the parts is fairly easy (soaking in hot soapy water loosens any food residue nicely). Those preparing hot cereals or rice for whole families will want to use other methods (f.ex. stovetop or slow cooker); however, this would be a wonderful addition to the kitchens of apartment-dwelling college students, newlyweds, or empty-nesters like myself. Recommended! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
