I already have a 6-quart PressurePro digital pressure cooker and as I learn more about how to use it, I realize that sometimes when cooking for a crowd 6 quarts is not big enough. So, while I was buying my son and his family and my sister a 10-quart unit, I'd get one more for myself. It just arrived so I will use it next time I need to pressure cook the meat off of turkey bones or cook a big ham bone to make navy or lima beans. One of the most genius uses of the pressure cooker is to cook beans in 30 minutes from out of the bag, rinsed and into the pot (no soaking). It saves me a lot of time. I especially like the taste of root vegetables cooked for 5 minutes in a steamer basket.

I needed a multi pot and this worked good for searing meat and sautéing vegetables before cooking. I was very satisfied with pressure cooking performance. While looking for additional recipes, I discovered a warning from the Dept of Agriculture advising that no electric pressure cookers are safe for canning. I will keep this product for regular pressure cooking but will have to rely on my old presto for canning.

Made the very best ribs ever. Two huge racks of ribs St. Louis style. In 45 minutes it was difficult to remove them without all the bones falling out. Pressure cooked them with apple cider and apple juice for the liquid. Then placed them in 425 degree oven for 5 minutes after coating them with BBQ sauce. Perfect!! Simply amazed people!

I remember my Mother and Grandmother using pressure cookers with great results. I also remember being told they were dangerous to be really careful around them. I guess I have carried this "fear" of pressure cookers since I was a kid and have avoided them. After reading and hearing about the new electric ones and the built-in safety features I did some research. Having a family of 5 to cook for and the convenience of left-overs I decided that in my case bigger was better. I opted for the 10 qt. and pulled the trigger on Walmart.com. I'm glad I did. I was anxious to try it out and fortunately it arrived in just a couple of days. As soon as it arrived I opened the box, carefully read the instructions, washed it and started my first recipe. I had ham with the bone still in it so I opted for split pea soup. I found a recipe on line and it was so easy I could barely believe it. Previously I had soak the split peas overnight but the recipe said to just put them in dry. In 90 minutes I opened the cooker and to my surprise I had soup, real split pea soup! I was completely cooked, peas and all. It was a real hit with the family on that cold night. Clean up was a breeze and I was able to freeze some for another meal. If you have been using a slow cooker you will be amazed how fast you can get a meal on the table. You should get one of these. Since the first meal I have prepared several others and they have all been a hit with the family. I have so many more recipes I want to try. If you have a big family go for the 10 qt. but if you are a family of four or less you might want to go with the 8 qt., or even the 6 qt. Whatever you decide do it ASA

Easy one touch operation. Cooking time is so much faster. My wife is cooking an all in one meal this weekend for our family. Life is good and the food tastes so much better! The price was very good in comparison to other brands. A great investment for the family.

I got this for my son and daughter in law for Christmas this year and they love it! Dinner's are a breeze, it's so fast! But they told me they can't do their canning with their quart jars and that's the main reason I got the 10 quart size. So that's a bummer!

This so far is a great machine. Everything I have tired has come out great...A little confusing on adding minutes to existing times, only because the book is just bad...Don't know why these companies take so little time explaining. Have not got to try the canning, that will have to wait until next season.

Love this pressure cooker. Makes meals fast and easy and locks in all the flavors. Great thing is you can add all the ingredients at one time for a full meal, close it turn it on and when times runs out your meal is done. All you need to do is release the steam open and serve. Simple cleanup and ready for your next meal.

Been very satisfied with this pressure cooker. Lowest psi setting is 10 so I did do some pressure canning pints of peaches, jams, carmelized onions, and beef and chicken broth. Also great to cook large meals. For it's size it heats up quickly and does a good job. Only downside is the pressure valve is a little loose and you have to put it between seal and vent to release the pressure.

I wish it came with a frying basket or some extras for cooking. Overall I have been using it every other night for dinner. I got a big family(5 kids) so I bought the 10qt which is prefect size for big family meals in half the time. It was deliverd 2 days late according to the time frame it gave me. In a nut shell the family loves the food, and I like the quick cook times
