Have used to make sandwiches. Does ok just seems cheap made for what I paid

Very disappointed with the grill.difficult to clean the grill top as the spaces on the surface are too close together for grilling. Too many crevasse for grease etc to get into...around front knob space in behind almost impossible to clean.

Works great. Heats up in 2 mins, cooks steaks in about 4 minutes. Seals inthe juices, but lets the fat drain off. Really like it and should save on the electric bill. Pork steaks in the oven for about 45mins verses cooking from both sides in 4minutes. Better tasting,love it

Our "famous boxer" contact grill died after many years of faithful service and the search was on for a replacement. The new versions of the famous grill all seemed to be cheapened to meet a price point, so we decided to look at other brands. Kalorik only makes two models, a single sided grill and the contact grill (panini maker), so if they're going to impress somebody, they've only got two chances. The decision was made for this Kalorik Panini Maker for several reasons: 1. Compact but adequate size for a meal. 2. 1400 watts, most of this type range from 600w to 1500w. 3. Adjustable thermostat. 4. Attached cord with a storage loop on bottom. 5. Sits flat, but can be tilted up with adjustable feet. 6. Go, no go indicator lights. 7. Mixed, but mostly favorable reviews of Kalorik products. 8. Modest price and availability at Sam's Club. This unit comes well packaged, with two separate two drip cups (not a tray) and a grill scraper. The thermostat has a scale of MIN to MAX (0 to 10), most items we've grilled in the 6 to 9 range with perfect results. The lid is heavy enough to get the grill marks these appliances are famous for and will easily squash a sandwich if that's what you want. Our favorite, though not a sandwich, we call a George, is a simple flour tortilla filled with taco seasoned shredded beef, pork or ground beef, shredded cheese, diced onions and a couple of jalapenos. Grilled for just a few minutes until the cheese is melted, a quick and easy meal. After three months and dozens of George's we're still satisfied with the Kalorik Panini Maker.

Bought my Panini maker after playing with my friend's very expensive one. I like mine better! Opens flat to provide double surface for cooking, sandwiches, grills fast and lovely crispy grill marks, double sided grilling for feeding the family in a hurry! Even cooks bacon in a flash. Cleans up easily. Non-stck surface is great. The husband loves it. So glad I purchased Kalorik Panini Maker!
