I've had my KitchenAid mixer for 2 weeks now and I absolutely love it. I have been wanting one for about 10 years and I finally decided to spend the money. I've made two cakes and some buttercream frosting using my mixer. I decided to go with the glass bowl because I just loved how it looked on the image. The mixer is surprisingly quiet. I think it may be even quieter than my old hand mixer. The only downside is that you have to be very careful with the bowl. My bowl cracked the first time I used it. Not a huge crack, you can't even feel it on the surface, but just seeing the small nick bothers me and I hope it doesn't get bigger. I checked the attachments and none of them hit the bowl so I don't know how the crack even happened. Overall I'm happy with my purchase, but if KitchenAid could send me a replacement that would be awesome. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I ordered my KitchenAid mixer online from a specialty store in February 2017 and it was out of stock. So I was excited when I finally received it on March 9th. I unboxed it and sat it on the counter. Then I noticed that the name plate wasn't attached completely to the mixer and it moves when I tap it. And the part that the attachments insert into isn't attached evenly. There is a gap. So needless to say I'm disappointed and worried that this mixer wasn't assembled properly. I did turn it on and it seemed to work, but haven't actually used it. So I'm hoping it will just be an aesthetic issue. Which still bothers me because your mixers aren't cheap and I feel like providing an all around quality product wasn't important. I had been contemplating contacting either the store or your company about this, but not ready to deal with a potentially uncaring customer service person. Also, I've bought this same mixer before for my daughter one Christmas and hers looks so nice and I couldn't wait to get one for myself. Now I'm embarrassed for anyone to see mine.
