LG (LMVM2033ST) 2 cu. ft Over the range Microwave oven Reviews

I've had my new LG microwave for about two weeks now, and am quite satisfied with it. It cooks rapidly, is fairly quiet and is easy to clean. A few things I would change if I could: brighter LED lighting below and inside (rather than the halogen), better view into the microwave (visible area it rather high up), and auto off for cooktop light (like the auto off for the fan). All in all, I like it though.

We had this delivered about a week ago, and it's beautiful! The water and ice works beautifully (the ice is smaller than average, which I actually like). Only 4 stars because of a few reasons: 1- you have to open both fridge doors to get into the bottom deli drawer, which I find annoying 2 - one of the fridge doors needs pushed to close or else it beeps at us (in its defense, I have not yet consulted the manual or customer service to see if this can be adjusted). Overall it has plenty of room, has a clean look and once we plugged it in it quickly reached the desired temperatures.

A few weeks after getting this microwave and within warranty it had issues with the display and then the fan. LG support sent 4 different technicians who installed 4 different doors, 2 control boards, and various other parts over the course of about eight visits. They simply refuse to replace a lemon unit. Now almost exactly two years later, it is not functioning at all, it just beeps every few minutes as long as it has power.

Purchased this when our microwave died. Was intrigued by the "Sensor Cooking" setting and it has turned out to be a go to. Reheating a dinner plate or a cup of coffee is so much easier now and no more cold spots. Defroster setting works marvelous and has ample selections (meat, poultry, fish, etc.). The soften and melt functions are something we totally overlooked when purchasing but use them all the time with butter for baking. The purchase made us want the gas, double oven range even more which we finally were able to purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Bought this microwave as a compliment to to the othernLG Matte Black appliances in our new kitchen. Have used it for six months and the display is nearly unreadable. We don't use any harsh chemical cleaners, only natural soap and water. This is a giant design flaw by LG, and they need to fix the problem. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Pros Out of the box, the appearance was shiny and sleek. Larger capacity than my previous microwave was immediately noticeable. Mounting definitely takes two people. Operation without vent fan is reasonably quiet. Have had for over a month, now, and has taken some getting used to. Presets seemed to heat/cook more than desired. Made some adjustments (mentally) and have achieved more favorable results. A bit more trial and error should bring about even better results. The lower position of the controls is attractive and convenient. Vent fan is very effective. Looks great above our black enamel electric range. Excellently priced given the features and brand reputation. Cons Control panel buttons, writing, and display could be a bit larger, along with, larger and brighter display. If you are under 5'7" you will have to stand on your toes to see what's cooking in my installation (which is pretty standard). The viewing area in the door is smaller and higher up, overall, than our previous microwave. Vent fan, although very effective, is very loud. I suppose we'll get used to it (turn up the TV). Overall Given the previous comments, I would consider myself quite satisfied with my purchase, so far. It is a great addition to our present array of appliances. The cons are within acceptable ranges (I'm taller that 5'7"). My overall conclusion would give your product a "Thumbs Up" approval and I would recommend it to friends and acquaintances. This is the second LMVM2033SB that I have purchased. It works well and I like the variety of cooking options that it has.The grayish interior gives it an upscale look. My only reason for the low rating is that it lasted slightly less than 2 years and it was cheaper to buy another one than to have this one repaired. I would have gotten a different model but I needed something that had the same dimensions in order to mount over the cooktop properly. This time I bought the 5 year extended warranty which I would recommend for anyone purchasing this model. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Did a lot of research before buying this microwave and glad I choose this one. Easy to use, many good features, and cleans up easy. The sensor feature really helps not to over cook items. Works very good on low power settings also. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

We have had this microwave for more than a month. They did not have one in the store so we bought it sight unseen. I was concerned about that but the microwave is beautiful with our new LG range. The performance is better than expected so far. The vent fan works very well and is reasonably quiet considering the power it has. The light is much better than the old microwave we took out and has a night light feature when it is on low. It is very easy to clean and it heats and cooks extremely well. Features that I wish it had - express buttons (ex.- push the 1 auto cook for 1 minute), and I would like for better lighting inside the microwave while cooking. Overall, we are very happy so far.
