If there is any light on in the kitchen, you cannot see the clock display. Setting the time is a bit difficult since you have to turn out all the lights and use a flashlight to find the buttons, once you have the button you have to turn that off so you can see the numbers changing. And yes, it's on the "bright" setting. Other than that, it makes a good pot of coffee.

I've had this coffee maker a couple months, and started noticing that it never completely empties out the water from the lines! I ran a clean cycle yesterday, with vinegar following exact directions, and made 6 cups afterwards (turned out delicious). However! I turned the whole unit upside down today, and this is how much water drained out and all that nasty black stuff was floating in the water line inside. It's only been used once since the clean cycle! Now I'm scared to use the maker not knowing what's going to end up in my coffee

I purchased this brewer in April 2017 and after a month's usage, or thereabouts, it has been fantastic. My wife and I love that the coffee brews very quickly and tastes more flavorful than our old brewer we replaced. This brewer stated that it heats the water to 205 degrees and I would believe that, as it comes out exceptionally fast and hot into the thermal carafe. This carafe is what makes all the difference to enjoying the coffee, as I am a slow coffee drinker and don't like the way old, burnt, stale coffee tastes after it's been on a hot plate for more than an hour in a glass pot. Finally, the extra-nice touch is the removable water tank that I can then pour water in so much easier in the tight confines of my limited counter space. The removable reservoir makes it incredibly convenient to get the water in and back on the machine. All in all, I feel this was an incredible purchase experience and other coffee brewers costing more than this for a 10-cup brewer with the speed, heat, and convenience of this brewer will be difficult, in my opinion, to justify purchasing.

Love it! We had an old Mr. Coffee maker for almost 4 years, very durable and still works, but we just wanted to upgrade it and this one works awesome, it makes our 6 cups in 5 minutes, and the thermal pot keep the coffee hot a while. plus, no mess on the carafe! Very pleased with this purchase

I have been disappointed in the strength of the brewed coffee. I had to remove the water filter otherwise the grounds are not uniformly brewed. I like the detachable water reservoir and carafe, those work well.

I bought this to replace a smaller Mr Coffee machine with thermal carafe. The lid finally broke after several years. I "upgraded" to this because I like the idea of the electronics on top - not at the bottom where they get wet . I love this machine however, because with the hotter water it works better! the permanent filter uses less grounds and I like the water reservoir that you do not have to pour water into the machine (and make a mess). The coffee stays hotter longer than the old machine also. I wish the machine was a bit smaller - hard to lift out reservoir under cabinet - but you can't have everything! I also use this to brew iced tea - 2 tea bags and than let the bags steep in the carafe.

If you want a quick brewing coffee pot, this is it! The carafe keeps coffe hot for a long time, too! We dislike the water filter/coffee grounds design and don't use the filter becauseit is inconvenient. It also does not come with a gold tone filter (as stated on the box).

The brew time is quick and the carafe keeps coffee hot and fresh for hours. The filter is inexpensive and easily replaced and the self cleaning option is an added bonus. I was however dissappointed with the dim clock light that is extremely difficult to see and the measurement numbers rubbed off the water tank within a few weeks. Overall I would recommend this product and will buy another when needed.

We have two of these coffee makers. The coffee is hot every time. The reservoir is removable so it's easy to fill, even under a counter that has a low cupboards overhead. The lid of the reservoir sits on top and isn't hinged so there is no warping like we experienced with another brand we used. The filter basket is on the side and slides in and out easily. The pot is ergonomically designed and I like the shape of it. The company stands behind this produce and that means a lot to me as well. Superb!
