I just purchased my Mr. Coffee 4 Cup Programmable Coffeemaker. I am just a one, 12-16 oz. Cup of coffee person, per day. So, I didn't need a big one. However, 4 cups equals 32ozs. I cannot put 32 ozs. of water in the reservoir, or it would be past the (MAX) mark and overflow!! 1 cup in the U.S. is 8 ounces, and this coffeemakers coffee pot ONLY holds 20 ounces, up to the bottom of the metal band, as indicated on the glass pot. So, it is NOT a 4 cup coffeemaker, it is a 2-1/2 cup coffeemaker, which is only 20 ounces in the United States. I gave only a 4 star rating because of the inaccuracy of how many cups you can make. Other than that it's a cute coffeemaker and it is adequate for my use each day.

I have been using Mr. Coffee products for a long time. My 4 cup old one broke and decided to replace it for the same model -4 cup DRX5- Placed my order, came on time, but just when I took it out of the box, realized that the plastic cover lid did not "snap" in place. Compared with my old one and could notice that there was something different as if the "prongs" to snap close the cover were shorter or something. That is the only reason for my 4 stars. I still love the brand. Sadly, I had to take it back.

Decent coffee maker, and a killer deal for $15. It took a week to get the filters. Eventually had to order them from Amazon and none of the local stores sell them. It would have been righteous of Mr. Coffee to include a couple filters, but no such luck. The filters are JR-4 or JR100 or 4-cup filters depending on who sells them. And it's not mentioned on the box. Aside from the filter debacle, the coffee is good, and just about two normal cups.

I had the same coffee maker for 6 years, finally it went out on me, I went to the local stores to look for the same ones but didn't find any, so I bought a different make/ model of 4-5 cups, brought home and tried to set the timer but the directions were soo confusing, so I went to Mr. Coffee's web side and found the same 4 cups I had before. Easy to set the timer and it will turn off after 1-hr of brewing. Only complaint I have is the lid is flimsy and a bit hard to open and to close the lid, otherwise I am happy !

This is a small pot but it's a good pot. The coffee I make in it tastes great but sometimes it's just not enough to get me through the day. But have no fear, it's so easy to make a 2nd pot and continue on with my drinking, coffee that is! I was glad to see I could use the larger filter and it fit fine. Another thing I really like is it does not take up much room on my mini-counter and that means a lot to me.

This is a small brewer which takes up little room on the counter. The carafe is small- noticeably so. Seemed too little for four cups. Reading the literature that came with it, it states the cup size is only 5 ozs, not the standard 6 per cup, so you're not getting much brewed at a time. But boy, is it fast! It brews almost upon contact and finished in the blink of an eye. The brew wasn't weak, either for being so quick. The 2 water windows, one on each side, makes measuring easy. It holds regular size filters. The lid and basket is a little flimsy being a thinner plastic, but the water reservoir is on both sides which is convenient. This really does the job for a morning quick cup, especially using the delay start.

This is a real space saving coffee maker. It barely takes up any counter space. Very easy to program; you only have to set the present time then set the time you want your coffee made. Another feature is the cord; it goes right back into the back of the coffee maker if you don't want any cords to show. The water levels are on both sides so you'll never have an overflow issue. The top of the coffee maker (when opened) exposes the entire inside so it's very easy to pour in the water and also to fill the coffee basket with a filter and coffee. You can interrupt the brewing session to pour yourself a cup without any spilling too! Remember to wash the pot with warm, soapy water before using it and for the first use just brew a little vinegar and water through the coffee maker. This little appliance makes a delicious cup of coffee and in only a few minutes it's done. Another nice feature; it will keep your coffee warm for one hour then turn itself off! I would surely recommend this coffee maker to anyone who just wants coffee for one or two and likes to save counter space. I LOVE MINE!

This shiny black appliance has become a favorite tool in my kitchen. This coffee maker brews four cups of coffee at five ounces per cup equaling twenty ounces of coffee for a perfect breakfast solution. This black programmable coffee maker has a brewing pause and serve feature that allows one to pour a cup of coffee while the coffeemaker is still brewing. It has a removable filter basket that lifts out for easy filling and cleaning. This coffee maker also has a one hour auto shut off device for safety measures. The dual water window shows the amount of water in the reservoir for accurate filling. There is also an on/off indicator light that lets one know when the coffee maker is on or off. This coffee maker is small enough for easy storage but large enough to complete the task on any given morning. This appliance would make an excellent wedding gift or a house warming gift for that individual just starting out.

I received this Mr. Coffee Programmable coffee pot from Walmart's Spark Reviewer Program and I love the small 4 cup size which allows more space on my counter. I can tell the difference in a fresh new coffee pot by the taste. It takes five minutes to make 4 cups; however, I use the great 30 second feature "pause and serve" in about two minutes for my first cup. The DR Series has: cord storage, on, off buttons, two water gauges, non stick warm plate, clock with P.M. indicator, minute, hour switches, set brew, delay brew, clear instruction booklet, and one hour auto cut off. The cord is short; approximately 23" long and it is ok to use an extension cord. This is why I did not give the coffee pot five stars although, it is a safety feature. In addition, the design is fine until you forget and pour more water for coffee and the pot is not empty. For example, human error causing over flow may allow the switches to become wet and the clock may not be as visible. For this reason I would recommend, Mr. Coffee's other coffee pots with the programming on the top to eliminate this issue. Knowing these conditions, I still chose the small size ( approximately 9 1/2" x 4 1/2"). In fact, Mr. Coffee does not have switches on the top of the coffee maker for the 4 cup space saver. To reiterate, l love this small appliance because I need the space on my counter top. I am very pleased with my Mr. Coffee and I use it for tea as well. I always buy this brand and it is a long trusted name for coffee makers. I am very grateful to use it several times a day for fresh coffee or tea. Thank you Walmart Spark Reviewer!

I had a 4-cup Mr. Coffee machine for a LONG time, 15 or 20 years, I can't remember. I was always perfect. Finally, it was time for a new one. I really just wanted the same thing I had! The model had changed slightly, but the carafe was the same. It's very simple to operate, and I don't even need the timer, but what the heck, maybe one day I'll use it. I would give this 5 stars, but for one small detail... I don't love how I have to press and turn the filter holder to be in the right place. I'm getting used to it now, so it is already second nature, but I think it may give some people trouble, at least at first. The old one just dropped into place. If that doesn't worry you, add a star for 5 stars!
