The UNIT IS LOUD like SCREAMing. I HAVE TO LOAD the CHUNKS A LITTLE AT A TIME OR ELSE THE BLENDER SPEEDS UP & SCREAMS, BUT THE BLENDING SLOWS DOWN LIKE THE MOTOR IS SLIPPING. The burning rubber smell is already bad when it was at the low speed. I AM THINKING OF SPENDING MORE FOR A MORE STABLE UNIT NEXT TIME I BUY A NEW BLENDER.

What makes this blender stand out is the dial control rather than the push buttons that most blenders have. This feature gives you the ability to do smooth transitions to higher and lower blade speeds. Also, this has the glass jar, rather than a plastic jar which is a plus. A 700 Watt motor is good as well. We have owned two of them so far, and won't be buying any other as long as it is available. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I bought this a little while back. I needed a replacement for my old Oster which was basically the same model, it just had buttons instead of a dial. Can't go wrong with this product. The old one lasted a very long time so why not go back to it. I have used it a few times since purchasing and have not had any issue with it. The operation/gears/blade seems smoother than the old one which is expected I suppose since it is new. I see all of the hype over the other companies who's blenders cost $400+. This is perfect for my needs and way below the $400 price tag of those other brands. After all, I'm not selling smoothies.

I bought this about a month ago because I wore out the last 2 blenders making my daily smoothies. This one is holding up exceptionally well & what a great deal!

I bought this in the year 2008 and been using it till now i.e 2015,i usually used it to blend vegetables for cooking once a week at most.
