Does it do the job, yes. Is it a great value in my opinion, no (But best price here) Had to modify the hardware to make it work within my cabinet (even though I should not have based on my cabinet dimensions.

The Trim Kit is required if you want to have the right presentation inside a cabinet for the MWave. The Trim Kit itself is attractive, though challenging to mount in the correct dimensions, the diagrams are not really very helpful. The plastic catches, though, to attach the front frame, are brittle and one broke. The supplier says I have to send the whole kit (hour plus to dis-assemble) back in order to get a new one, rather than being able to ship the plastic catch that I need. And Panasonic's chat site is closed during normal business hours. The Trim Kit is more expensive than the actual Oven that I have, so not being able to get the catch shipped to me is unconscionable.

once installed, the trim looks great. if the cabinet is built to dimension specs for your microwave, there won't be a problem installing the kit. however, if you are replacing a microwave in an existing cabinet, you have to be precise in measuring for the trim kit. there are several trim kits to chose from.

If I could give this a 0 I would give it a 0. Does not fit according to specifications. Instructions are awful. Does not sit flush with cabinet. They also fail to tell you that you must cut the cabinet and even then it does not fit flush. Sticks out way too much and for the price of this thing, not worth it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS!!!

I ordered a microwave nn--se982s and a trim kit nntk922s. The opening in the trim kit frame is 24 5/8 inches and the width of the oven is 23 7/8 inches. This leaves an unsightly 3/8 inch space (gap) on each side of the oven. This space is not proportional with the much smaller space (gap) at the top and bottom of the oven. Do not purchase this built in kit if you expect an attractive installation. Not withstanding what the other commenters said the kit does not fit.

This Trim Kit is a quality product except for the plastic fastening tabs. I broke one trying to install it. I then needed to hard mount the kit to my cabinet using "L" brackets that I manufactured myself and stainless steel machine screws. I could have waited for replacement plastic parts, but didn't know fast I would receive them. Be careful when you try to snap the Trim Kit into place. You might just "snap" the little plastic tab.

This trim kit is a perfect fit and was not too difficult to install. Very happy with the overall look of the microwave and trim kit.
