I purchased this item in the store as it was out of stock online and luckily my local Walmart had one in stock. It's so much lighter than the larger slow cookers and works very well, especially for an apt. I cooked a 1.6 lb pork roast in it. I poured about 1/3 cup of apple juice in the pot, added my little roast, with a dash of salt and pepper, then turned the crock on and to low, I cooked it for 4 and 20 minutes, i then opend the lid, flipped my roast over, replaced the cover and cooked it for 4 more hours. Turned out excellent, very tender and juicy.

I am returning it because it did not heat up enough to cook a pot of beans in 13 hours. That's TOO slow cooking. It took about 6 hours in our old crock pot that got broken.

RECENTLY LOST SPOUSE OF 55 YEARS. HAD LARGE SLOW COOKER BUT IS NOT PRACTICAL FOR 1 PERSON.
THIS ONE WORKS GREAT FOR ME - USE IT 1 OR 2 TIMES A WEEK.

Small footprint taking up a small amount of space on my counter-the ceramic insert is deeper instead of being wide. Easy to remove and clean. Perfect meal size for 1-2 people or to make an appetizer. etc. It not only has a high and low setting, but also a warm setting. Excellent value.

Nice little crock pot. I bought two and plan on purchasing a third. They work great for small batches of appetizers and sauces.

I like everything about this easily portable little guy, except that it runs a bit hot when not fullnnn but it was perfect for our cheap anniversary trip!

Great value, perfect size to cook for one person. Easily made chili verde, chicken, whatever. Easy to clean surface. Good seal on top so moisture doesn't cook away.

PERFECT! I made my neighbor's sausage dip recipe for New Year's Eve........she always used a dish with a candle to keep the dip warm, I didn't have a dish like that and the one little crock pot I own did not have a warm setting on it which is lower than a low setting on a crock pot.......so when I saw this RIVAL 2 quart slow cooker, I thought it would be perfect for my needs......and it was PERFECT!

This holds 2 pounds of my "special" holiday appetizer meatballs that I am always asked to bring to our family "Chrismukkah" party. It's just the right size for transporting and saves me from bringing my bigger, heavy one that is too large. This Rival 2 Quart slow cooker is so good, in my opinion I prepare the pot/foods and then use micowave oven to cook it for 6' or so depends on what type of foods and after that put the ceramic pot into its slow cooker and turn it to High that can make the meal faster in 1, 2, 3, 4 hrs. Love it and good price
