This product does what a microwave should do. It is a good size for my purposes. The problems I have with this microwave are: (1)I have to chase it all over the counter to open and close it. My previous Sharp was not like this. If there had been one in my local Walmart when I was shopping, I would not have chosen this oven. I have learned you must hold it in place when opening or closing the door. (2)The control panel is hard to read, so I keep a small flashlight handy. (3)The glass cooking tray is sometimes very difficult to settle in the proper place to revolve properly.

No light when door is open -control panel to small- and the stainless steel trim smudges with finger prints. Wish I hadn't of ordered this online I like seeing things first before I buy them. Should of went to the store and looked at them first but I do like sharp microwaves. Would not recommend this model.

I purchased this microwave because it was the perfect physical size and wattage for my needs and has a push door opener, and I respect the Sharp brand. It looks nice and works well, BUT THE CONTROL PANEL IS A NIGHTMARE: 1) It's difficult to read as there's not enough contrast with the black background. 2) The time choices are 30 seconds (the Start button) or increments of 1 minute. 3) So I tried the
Frozen Vegetable control -- it comes in increments of 4 oz, 8 oz, and then 16 oz. (You keep pressing to get the size you need.) What do I do for my 12 oz package? There's a plus or minus button but that subtracts time, and how am I to know how much time to subtract? Still haven't figured out how to get time greater than 6 mins., or how to use the power level and time together. Please note I use the term "button" loosely as it is a flat touch pad control panel, which is not a problem. It's the choices. And there is nothing intuitive about it.
The one plus is when it is running, you can see the food inside. The screen in the last micro I had (not a Sharp) did not allow that.
I would not purchase again. I bought a Sharp hoping it would last long, but now am hoping it won't.

Works just great. Replaced an earlier version that I killed by putting in a wrapped sandwiched that had a layer of foil lined paper that I didn't notice and left the scene. RIP. This one looks really fine and has updated controls which takes a bit of studying. More than I use on a regular basis but has all the basics and the size fits all the bowls I want to use. Door also shuts quieter than the last one. Would like the light to go on when I open the door and not just when cooking. Super for the price (was lower on sale with really fast free shipping). I like it. Like it.

I purchased this for my daughter. My granddaughters had it set up and ready to go by the time their mom got home from work (the girls are early teens). Everyone loves it and I thought it was a pretty good value and seems to be easy to use. My daughters had gone out and we had it within 3 days of ordering it, excellent service.

So far I am happy with the Sharp Microwave. I am disappointed with the handle that opens the door. I am not sure if it was damaged in shipment of if it is meant to be a little floppy. It does not lay flat with the door front. Rather than going through the whole return fiasco, we decided to keep this one. We have only had it a week but are very happy with the wattage as we do not cook meat in our microwave. The price is excellent even if it only lasts a year.

Good oven for the price, however I have two complaints with this oven. First, the feet let this slide. We put it in the microwave cabinet the old one sat in (which never moved the 8 years we had it) and this one kept sliding back into the cabinet so we had to keep pulling it out so it wouldn't hit the sides of the cabinet. I finally put a brace behind it so it had no room to move back to fix that problem. I guess if you are going to leave it on the countertop, that shouldn't be a problem. The second issue is keeping the touch pad clean from fingerprints. It could be the fact we have the stainless steel model but we seem to be wiping it clean everyday. Have only had it for a short while so still learning best time and temp for cooking (much different than the old one), but it's doing the job so far.

Came in the box with a huge dent in the back like someone threw it on the ground. While microwaving, it just turns off out of nowhere and decided to turn back on 3 hours later. Does that like 3 times a day. I'm retuning it.

It is good overall but smaller on the "inside" than my old Sharp Microwave. My old Sharp was only 800 watts, but the inside was 2 inches larger, This new Sharp Microwave is 1000 watts but 2 inches smaller on the inside. Seems strange to me!!!

This microwave is fine so far. I had to replace a Panasonic microwave which set on fire after only a few months of use.
