Whirlpool (WMC50522HV) 2.2 Cu. Ft. Microwave Oven Reviews

I purchased this particular microwave because it was larger i.e.1.6 CF compared with the 1.3 CF and yet fit perfectly in the same space utilizing the old trim work without having to do anything but center it in place. It fits perfectly and is so much quitter than the GE it replaces. So glad I was able to install it without "professional" assistance and their insistence that I could not fit it in place with the same trim I already had on hand. They were wrong! It looks great and works great. I could have bought a similar Sharp MW but decided on Whirlpool because of the quality of all other Whirlpool appliances I have experience with over the years. I bought this 4 months ago to match the other appliances but the door mechanism is so poorly designed it takes many pushes to open (even if it does). I may replace it with something that works.

Only have used it for approximately a month so that is why I gave it 4 stars. So far, it has lived up to my expectations. My previous Whirlpool microwave lasted 12 years so hopefully this one will last that long. This microwave is larger and has more wattage than my previous one so it fits the larger casserole dishes. This microwave was part of a new home we purchased and included as part of a Whirlpool package provided by the builder. We've lives here 2 years and already replaced the refrigerator and keep having problems with the microwave. The latest issue is a blinking clock and a small light above the clock that flashes. We've tried resetting the clock. We've unplugged the microwave. It just keeps flashing.

I‘m upset that I even have to give it a star it should be zero. This microwave came with the appliances that was apart of a package for the home we had built, it's the worst. I've only had it for a year and a couple of months. The first 3 months in the clock kept resetting itself, then the beeping completely stopped after 6 months and now the numbers are all chopped off. keep away from this microwave. save your money

This is less than a month old. This microwave is very quiet and works great, but the film where the numbers are is already starting to bubble and peel. This is less than a month old. Something this expensive should not do that. I can only imagine what it will look like after another month of daily use. This is also done as a built in, so easily seen by anyone in our kitchen.

I've had the microwave for a year now and throughout my time with it I have experienced a similar problem to others. When I shut the microwave it will reset the clock completely. Now I have a different issue, now the fan light won't stop blinking and the light for the number beneath the fan indicator will not work properly.

I have had this microwave for 1 1/2 years now, was put in the home by our builder. I have had problems with the clock resetting when opening the door, also have to open and close the door a few times to get it to work. Now the fan button is flashing and I can't fix the time. Has anyone had this happen?

I bought this as a replacement microwave. Although it is a countertop, i have it mounted above my oven. Looks clean and fit right in. It was very easy to install. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

We bought this to be installed into our new home. We also purchased the trip kit, so that it looks like it is built in. It works great, and best of all, fingerprints wipe right off!
