Cleaned prior to use once with brewing white vinegar then just brewing water. Smells like cooked plastic when you brew coffee and tastes a bit like plastic too

Too small. Says 4 cup but really only makes 1 average size mug. Filter permanently stains after one use and was immediately washed. Takes about 6 minutes to perk. Better off with a single serve coffee maker.

I'm considering returning this item. It's always allowing coffee grinds into the coffee, Periodically it leaks. Worst of all, it states not to put in the dishwasher, so it's very stained after just a few uses. I wouldn't recommend anyone to purchase this item.

I like the size and it's cute but the only thing I'm not pleased with is the coffee basket is staining with the coffee even though I use a filter but it doesn't effect the taste of the coffee. Great little machine.

Bought this for the Mother along with a Brentwood toaster & she loves them both. Nice hot coffee finally, & a toaster that does not over heat. Excellent products Brentwood Appliances

Comes with a mesh resuable filter. I got a Mr Coffee on the same day as this, used them both side-by-side daily. Mr Coffee died after less than 3 months and this Brentwood is still working fine.
