I like the knobs on this one, they are easy to turn. It makes a difference! I had to return the more expensive model, I did not like the plastic insert in the metal coffee receptacle.... no reason for that. I like this model just fine. But if you overfill the water- even a little bit, it will leak from underneath.

Not too much of a coffee drinker, but I became a bit addicted to Starbucks Caramel Lattes in the mornings on my way to work. After doing extensive research I figured why not try making it on my own. It requires espresso shots, milk frother, among other ingredients. Bingo! The Mr. Coffee machine fit the bill. Finally the moment arose and I was ready to make my infamous copycat Starbucks Caramel Latte. Hands down, the espresso knocked it out the park, but unfortunately the frother did not. I made several attempts with the frother and nothing. Luckily, I had a pot nearby, warmed up my milk and voila... my latte was created! Ill grade this item in two parts: espresso portion 5 , frother that never worked I have to give it a 0. Overall total is a 3 out of 5. If I had the time I would have returned it, but due to the pandemic I kept it and its now labeled as my over priced espresso machine. I would highly recommend, if the complete unit worked. Then again... I'm all about second chances, so give it a try. Maybe I just received a defective one.

READ THIS BEFORE GIVING IT 1 STAR Some reviews said it stopped frothing after 1-2 stars. This happened to me. I researched why and read, froth your milk halfway through brewing cycle. Yep, it works beautifully. I absolutely love my machine. Im so glad i found this out. Best machine ever. It doesnt come with a frothing cup so i use a smaller mug that fits in the frother. Works great

This machine has made lots of great lattes. I don't have any complaints about the machine except that the milk frother is difficult to clean. Otherwise, great experience.

worked- but expected it to last at least a year and it did not. Second one purchased and there will not be a third. A coffee machine should last at least a year.

Love love LOVE this espresso machine! I've always wanted one, but they're so expensive. I found this one on walmart.com and it was at a low price. I was afraid that it would be junk because it was so cheap compared to the others, but this little thing is amazing!! I use it almost every day. I've made iced drinks, lattes, and I've also used the milk frother to make some amazing hot chocolate. You will need to buy preground espresso, or buy yourself a coffee grinder (which is what I have done). It is well worth the money. I used to spend $5 at least every day on coffee and I've already saved so much in just the month I've had it.

This is my second one. First one lasted two years which was great for the price. This is a great little machine! I make amazing cappuccinos every morning. However, this model is designed better aside from the plastic part you put on for steaming milk. Last model it was rubber which was much better! This plastic part keeps falling off about 3 times each time I froth my milk. Rubber would have been better so it can fit snug around the steamer part. I would assume replacing the part would produce the same outcome but will try! Aside from that, great product!

This machine is pretty compact so it does not take up too much counter space which is great. I have to admit I didn't have high expectations for an espresso machine at this price point, but my boyfriend and I are totally amazed by the espresso this machine produces. There is a slight learning curve but you figure it out really quick. I use Cafe Bustelo ground espresso and have been using the plastic tamper that comes with this machine. The majority of my shots have tasted pretty good but I always mix my shots with milk. It does produce a crema but the shots are not super syrupy or thick,There were only two times that the espresso turned out bitter but I was playing with different amounts of ground in the filter and tamping the espresso using different pressures. I noticed a lot of reviews complain about the frothing arm for milk. My frothing arm did not look the same as the one in the picture (it was actually located towards the rear of the machine - not the best location) but I figured out the best way to get hot, steaming, foaming milk. When I use this machine I have to move it toward me because of the location of the frothing arm. I removed the plastic sleeve from the wand because the plastic sleeve was causing milk to splatter everywhere which seems to be a common complaint in reviews. By removing the plastic sleeve I no longer have the milk splattering issue and I also have more control over the amount of foam I want. I can heat the milk with minimal foam, or heat the milk longer to get more sweetness and more volume. Another word of advice is to make sure you use enough water in order to get enough steam for your milk. The espresso craft holds 8 oz and numbered for 2 ounce shots. If you want four shots you need to fill water up to the top of the metal band on the craft. If you want two shots (4 oz), you need to fill the water up to the imaginary 3 shot line or higher to get enough steam to heat and froth the milk. General rule of thumb is to add 1.5 to 2 additional ounces of water for frothing the milk. Keep in mind you have to manually change the brew feature to the steam feature once the brewed espresso hits the desired number of espresso shots in the craft. Have your cup of milk ready and submerged in the frothing arm when you change the brew feature over to the steam feature. By adding the additional 1.5 - 2 ounces of water you will have more than enough steam to heat and froth your milk. I usually have enough steam to clean the frothing arm with a clean cup of water after my milk has been heated. I also noticed that milk also tends to cake the wand so have a kitchen towel or bar mop towel handy to wipe it down after each use. If you are unsure or on the fence about purchasing this machine, you should buy it! I have been using this machine every morning and multiple times on weekends to make shots of espresso, one morning I drank 8 shots.....not sure if that is healthy. But that should tell you the quality of espresso this machine produces, no one drinks 8 shots in a day if the espresso tastes bad right??? Yes, you may need to tweak your espresso brewing skills a bit to get the taste you want, but making espresso is considered an art form you perfect to get the taste you want. You cannot expect to press start, walk away, and have the perfect cup. You have to create it the you way you want it and you can with this machine. I have only had this machine for a week, but hopefully it holds up for a long time. Will update if any problems arise.

I received this about a week ago. The first time I used it, it was fine. However, since then, I have tried, daily, using it subsequently, with no success! This was a replacement for another machine, which was had the same experience trying to use! At this point, I have gone back to using my 17 year old Braun espresso machine, which leaks water at the grounds basket. But, at least that machine still works reliably;
