I have used slow cookers for decades. This one was my go-to for a now 2 person household for about the last year. Perfect size and I love the timer function. Last weekend we were reheating frozen chili as we have done for years in this one as well as others. An hour later the counter was full of water. Upon inspection a 2 inch size hole was blown out of the side of the stoneware and the chili had leaked all over the element. So the most expensive smallest slow cooker I have ever owned lasted for the shortest period of time. Rather disappointing. I will replace but might have to go with a different brand that has a better liner.

It gets pretty hot while using it. I was hoping it wouldn't do that. There was a little bit of a electrical smell when I first plugged it in but it went away pretty quick. It works well and heats up fast.

Bought it recently and have used it three times. Miss the window with the remaining time left to cook. Otherwise it is wonderful and easy to use. The purchase of this crock pot makes five that I own and use. Sometimes two at a time.

I have used this Crock Pot for a few weeks. The product has worked great so far. I have made Cabbage Soup, Short Ribs, Chili, Split Pea Soup, Lentil Soup and Bean Soup. I was very happy with the results. The timer feature was great. It is a great feature that my old Crock Pot Did not have. The only draw back is that I wish after the timer finishes cooking and goes to low that it shuts off after a few hours. This would be a great safety feature so you do not forget it on. I have used it at night and went to sleep but had to wake up to turn it off. At first I was disappointed there was no low setting but realized that you do not need it.The Crock pot runs hotter than my old one but from what I have read is that all newer Crock Pots are this way to avoid not undercooking food. It is a great sized Crock Pot for two people. I would recommend this Crock Pot. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Works great. As the help desk suggested, it’s important to fill 3/4 with water and cook for 4 hours to eliminate metal order. We went this process twice and the odor was gone.

This is my second Crock Pot product. The lid for this particular model does not properly cover the stoneware. There is a large gap between the lid edge and stoneware. Perhaps this issue would explain why several reviews claim their crock pots did not cook properly.

So far I'm a fan of the digital crock-pot, I had a manual and upgraded after my husband dropped and broke the one we had and loved for 4 years. It did give off a slight odor the first time we plugged it in that made my husband question the safety of EVER cooking in our apartment again. It cooked evenly and I like that it turns itself off after it is done with the timer but I would love for it to just set to warm as the food was then cold by the time we got home. Guess I'll just need to plan better next time.

The pot and lid do not fit very snug to the heating element or the pot. Too loose for me. I would prefer more options in the timing of cooking which I think is better on the more expensive or larger pots. It does get the job done; the price was reasonable.

Purchased product for my wife who said it was too small as she is used to the 6 QT units. I worked in different parts of the world until 4 years ago when I returned home, but my daughter took my crock pots including the 4 QT. I made one of my chicken recipes in the 4 QT that I used to cook and she was very impressed at how the 4 QT could make more than enough dinner for two people.
