Proctor Silex 33015Y 1.5-Quart Round Slow Cooker Customer Reviews
I really this brand. The slow cooker is now made in China, which means quality issues. What I've noticed on several is that the ceramic has a starting or stopping point, that is inside the cooking area. It manifest itself in a raised/indented area, maybe sharp or not, which to my way of thinking should be outside of the cooking area. Why? in the case of a raised area, suppose you knock it off while stirring or if an indented area suppose food collects in the pocket. Would that create a place for germs to germinate?
Bottom line, older crocks were smooth everywhere. The people of china are and have been educated people for centuries. They should serve the public much better than they do.

Needed a small crock pot and this is perfect. I live alone and I can put 1 pork chop or 1 chicken breast with few veggies and have my meal and not worry about left overs. Can cook on low or high and can also set on warm. Great find. I use it 4-5 nights a week..

Works as promised. I read reviews from several different small slow cookers and decided to buy the Proctor Silex because, overall, it received the best reviews. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it does not have a light to show that it's on and it does not have an automatic shut off. But since I bought it mainly for overnight cooking, I'm satisfied with it.
I have made steel cut oats in it twice, and they turned out great.
STEEL CUT OATS RECIPE
Servings: 4
Ingredients
• 1 cup steel oats (I used John McCann's)
• 4 cups water
• 4 tablespoons dried, chopped plums.
Directions
• Combine ingredients in slow cooker.
• Cook overnight on low.
Note: One night I cooked it for 12 hours, the other night for 8 hours. The dried plums add some sweetness. Next time I'll trying adding dried Craisons instead of dried chopped plums
I also made Brussels sprouts in it, but that involves a little more time coordination because it only cooks for 2-5 hours and, I stated, the slow cooker does not have an automatic cut off. They were delicious.
BRUSSLE SPROUTS RECIPE
Servings: 4
Ingredients
• 1 pound fresh Brussel sprouts (I bought a one-pound package of fresh, washed, Brussel sprouts)
• 3 tablespoons butter
• 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
• 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
• 1/4 cup water
Directions
• Wash and trim the ends off of each brussel sprout, and cut in half.
• Toss into the cooker.
• Add butter, mustard, salt, pepper, and water.
• Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, or on high for 2 to 3. (I cooked on high for 2 hours)
• Stir well to distribute the sauce before serving.

I searched for a small crock with these settings and really liked this one. I have a larger one of the same, so I would have loved this little crock, but the lid happened to be warped so I returned it and bought the only other small crock in the store. It was a different brand. I had to have it right away. I would still recommend this to my daughter or any friend who cooks only for 1-2 persons and has to go out to activities frequently. Makes great main or side dishes when you need a good meal but can't stay in the kitchen.
