We first bought a different microwave, but we just weren't happy with it so we returned it and found this one. I wanted the express cook features, a handle, a turntable that I could turn off so I could fit a casserole dish in it, black, and a good price. This ticked all the boxes.

So far I'm happy with my purchase. This is an inexpensive microwave that looks great.
My only complaint is that I wish it had led bulbs instead of incandescent bulbs.

Only reason I gave it 4 stars is due to installation issues. Followed the diagram, had the mounting bracket flush with my cabinets as I was supposed to....and it wouldn't fit. Kept hitting the bottom of the cabinet. Besides that, it's great! Plenty of features, bright lights under the unit to light up stove and vent is easy to use.

The microwave works excellent. BUT, the vent fan doesn't work well. It's horrible. Steam goes up on the microwave door when cooking or boiling. The light is in the back area and shining on the wall, and not to bright. It should be more forward to shine on the burners......

I enjoy using the preset dial for warming up food and express cooking. I was easy to install. My daughter and husband did it together. The fan is a little loud, but the enjoy the bright light and low light setting. It also working good at warming up food.

This is my 2nd microwave. I purchased this microwave the first time Jan 2019.. Feb 2020 right after 1yr warranty expired it just quit. Wasn't happy, repurchased same model and bought extra 3yr warranty. I repurchased only because my whole kitchen is GE with the slate color that other brands don't offer. Hoping I have a longer time with this one. Before it quit working, I loved it. It has timer, quick touch minutes and I love the design.

I like the unit but was disappointed in a few things. I was replacing another GE microwave and bought this GE virtually the same updated replacement for my old one.
The mounting bracket and hole location in the overhead cabinet were different. Meaning in had to replace the mounting bracket on the wall and drill new holes in the overhead cabinet. Then had to patch the old unused holes already drilled. I was hoping using the same brand it was going to make it easier by not having to change the bracket or drilling new holes. I had replaced the original Whirlpool microwave with the 1st GE microwave and everything was the same.
Just a bit disappointed that it wasn't.
Also the digital display is difficult to read. The numbers on either side of the : are right on top of it making it difficult to read.

The product looks good and is easy to operate. Fantastic surprise when we realized we did not have to switch out the back plate. It set great on my previous backplate, only having to drill two new holes in the cabinet above to hold the mounting screws. I have used it several times daily and enjoyed the ease of operation. The owners manual is well written and easy to find what you are looking to find the correct settings for this unit. I would highly recommend it to friends and family.

We were grateful to find this appliance in the color bisque as all of the rest of our kitchen appliances are of the same color in addition to our kitchen cabinets. We hope that she continues to make colors such as these other than just stainless steel, black and white!
