Its the same brand and style as my last microwave, but buttons are different and we are having to learn how to use it. I expected it to be the same. Its still very nice.

This was recommended by Sharp as a good replacement for your R530ES Sharp microwave. If you had the built in trim package with the vents top and bottom, this unit fits in that trim. Not a perfect match of the feet on this and the rails on the bottom of the existing R530 trim but close enough. The width and height are tight but fit. Therefore, you save yourself a new trim package at near $300. Go for it!

This is my second Sharp Carousel microwave , both 1.8 CU FT. The older one still works well. They are both reliable well built machines. I like the size. Big enough to heat or cook a large casserole. The features and controls suit my needs. I especially like the 30 second repeat feature.

Love this microwave. It's just as good and efficient as our old over-the stove model. Powerful 1200 watts. The only thing I don't like is the push button to open the door. I prefer the pull-handle ones better... but overall a great microwave/

Due to damage to my old Sharp incurred (due to my carelessness), I attempted to order a duplicate model. The new model requires more user involvement and does not have all the features of the old. With the old I only had to use the key pad to program for a few seconds and then hit the Start. With the new, the key pad is minutes and I have to hit a button first to get the key pad to seconds. Also, with my old I was able to program an item for multiple times and heat settings. I have not yet found any way to program the new one to do so.
