I bought a new microwave... the Sharp 700 Watt Countertop Carousel. The new Sharp Microwave is smaller than my old one and I show the difference in size. My review of the Sharp 700 Watt Microwave shows the unboxing, manual options, and I show the microwave in action for two cups of water, popcorn, and a frozen meal prep. If you don't need a large microwave, this one may suit your needs as it does mine.

So far so good. I really like my microwave, the only issue I have is that when you open the door, the light does not come on. The only way the light comes on, is when the microwave is running. I have only had it for about a week, and it came earlier than expected.

Great microwave--it does the job. The only feature that I'm not happy with is the 2-stage cooking. Sharp's idea of 2-stage cooking is different from any other microwave that I have researched. The first stage is defrost and the second stage is cooking but this was not evident in the description on the website. I was looking for 2-stage cooking where each stage can be at a cooking level of MY choice. For example, 5 minutes on high and 15 minutes on medium. If I get to choose both stages of cooking, I could defrost and then cook as well as bring to a boil and then cook. I chose this microwave specifically because it had 2-stage cooking but Sharp's idea of 2-stage cooking is useless to me.

No light when you open the door which is kind of inconvenient but otherwise I really like it

We liked the fact that our order came one (1) week before it was originally stated. You never know how much you use a microwave until yours bites the bullet. We are very pleased with this new microwave and have used it quite a bit over the past week (much more than we realized). It is easy to use and works great - that is why we always order Sharp!

Bought this oven to replace a Rival 700 watt. The difference is like night and day. Do yourself a favor, put out the additional $ and invest in a Sharp when it comes to microwaves. I don't know what I was thinking by taking the less expensive route.

Definitely a step up from our 800 Watt GE Profile Spacemaker microwave as far as power goes, however it is louder when it runs. The three beeps at the end are also quite loud, but at least it does not beep every 30 seconds thereafter. The rear left foot is shorter than the others, but is not adjustable, so we have to put a shim underneath to keep it from tipping. The microwave has a noticable left to right tilt even when shimmed. The install instructions state a 4" gap around back sides and top for airflow, which is just not practical. Pressing the buttons will push it back closer to the wall. There is a plastic extension from the case so that the cord is not crushed. The cord is also quite short, so it will need to be positioned close to the outlet. It definitely does the job and has nice features for defrost, immediate 1-button start and pre-programmed functions.

This is a great little space-saving microwave that is plenty big enough for a large dinner plate. It has nice control features, carousel and works very well. It's pretty quiet as far as microwaves go. Had to take one star off, but only because the interior light does not come on when you open the door. The light comes on while the microwave is running, though. Other than that one minor thing, we love it!! Ordered it online and picked it up in the store 2 days later. Easy peasy!!

My previous microwave died suddenly, so I went on the hunt for a new one at several nearby locations. Many microwaves seemed too big for me to carry from the store or too small to handle my needs. I finally checked online and found the Sharp 1.1 cu. inch model, which has turned out to be perfect. This microwave is almost perfect. Use is almost intuitive. I can set a timer that beeps three times. I also can set straight minutes (3 minutes, 4 minutes, etc. for cooking) or set specific times (1 min. 20 seconds ) for cooking. I also can set different power levels. For me, the only challenge is that the control panel is harder to read than in my previous microwave and the light inside the oven does not go on when I open the "oven door." Because my eyes are bad, I actually have used little raised dots ( for visually impaired folks) so that I can find a few favorite settings with no struggle. Those with good vision or who have good light where they place the microwave will have no problems at all. Settings are accurate and the price for this great device was wonderful.
