I purposely chose this microwave for its unique under mounting option! This is the only microwave I could find in this size that had the under cabinet mount option. Turned out great!

It works fine, but I wish: 1. inside light was brighter. Can hardly see what's inside, e.g. is the oatmeal about to boil over. 2. when the timer gets to zero, the sound would repeat periodically, just like when cooking is done, rather than only one time. 3. the 27" trim kit (JX 827 SFSS) would be flush with the cabinet (like my previous trim kit JX 827 SS, from 2008) rather than stick out a full inch.

This unit replaced Jem31sfss. The door on this unit seems light and sounds cheap and tinny when closing. The keypad is dark and requires too more force to operate. The only reason I purchased unit was it needed to fit into a specific space. Unit is overpriced

This is our 3rd GE undercounter microwave in the same application. We know that any appliance never lasts forever. However... The first was installed by our kitchen remodel contractor. The second came with hardware but no mounting template and holes were different. The 3rd came without hardware or a template, and again, the pattern was different. The unit fits into a VERY tight space. We were finally got it securely mounted, the door failed to fully open because it jams into the cabinet to the left.

Being as our old microwave died after 15 years of constant use -- this new model by GE has brought the kitchen into the modern age in both style and function. It was necessary to replace both the microwave and oven because the old one was one unit -- but we determined that we would buy separate units to preclude the same conundrum should one or the other ever fail again. Doing so did require some cabinet modifcation during installation -- but the trim packages actually compliment the appliances appearnce -- so we were not bothered by this fact. We went with the stainless steel finish and other than the frequent wiping to preserve the "new" appearance -- everything functions well and performs fine with the different features that we have used thus far. Very happy with the new GE products in the kitchen and the envy of my neighbors in terms of the updated look the appliances have provided.

We just purchased a new spec home with this GE microwave installed by the builder. It is a little small for our needs but functions very well. I have owned GE microwaves in the past and have never been disappointed.

Just received this, but find the control board panel more difficult to read than my previous model. Like the new sensor feature, but the panel should've been either lighted or a bolder font used!

When we built our house 15 years ago we installed a GE SpaceMaker and it served us well until a few weeks ago. I knew it would not be easy to find a built-in replacement that would fit into such a small space (27" W x 15" H x 16 1/2" D) and I was right. After looking at every possible make & model on line and in retail the only one that I found that was design for a space this small was the GE Profile series. Thank goodness they still make this small and attractive unit. It was very affordable, looks great, its quiet and was easy to install. The only drawback is that it is slightly under powered at 900 watts. But, even that is not a big inconvenience. It means it takes a little longer to heat up or cook your food. I would recommend this to anyone.

Our instillation is as a shelf mounted free standing unit above the counter. Since space is limited, we really appreciate its dimensions. While it is small enough to fit into our space, it can still handle a full size dinner plate. It protrudes just a little bit beyond the front edge of the shelf, but not enough to be a problem. This is our second one. Our first was purchased in 2010, and is still going strong, we just replaced it because we needed to match the other appliances since going all stainless steel.

I recently renovated my kitchen and replaced my old, clunky microwave with this sleek new one. I didn't need anything fancy - just something that could reheat leftovers or defrost. This fits the bill. My contractor built it into my space. Perfect!
