Omcan (SM-G50) Electric Meat Grinder Reviews

Of all the parts that touch the meat and need to be cleaned, there is only ONE stainless steel part! All the rest are pot metal or, worst of all, a steel that easily rusts. Instructions state: "wash each part in soapy water" and "after cleaning, metal parts must be dried". Well there's the problem. In fact, you will need to IMMEDIATELY **USE A BLOW DRIER** to blast water out of the cutting screens or they will rust INSIDE and out. The least drop of water will rust inside the holes of the cutting screens and you will find it nearly impossible to clean out the rust. Using cheap, rust-prone steel is a serious flaw and creates maintenance issues that make this device highly undesirable to use. I highly recommend against anyone buying this machine.

This is a great product!! The first day I got the machine, I ground up 10 pounds of pork shoulder for sausage in just a couple of minutes. It does a great job on beef as well. I should have bought this product years ago. I will never buy ground meat from the store again!!!

I am not a hunter with major meat grinding projects and would have been a little happier with a more compact machine. The machine is a little noisy, but I use earplugs. So far I did chicken and pork and both went very well. Will know more after I do beef. Shipment tracking was a little confusing but was resolved quickly w customer support. Would have been happier if the unit was made in the USA
