I've had two of these. Exactly the same but stainlrss steel and not brown. The first one was defective and lasted only a few months. As I'd gotten it from Amazon their guarantee replaced it. The second one I've used every day but maybe five or six for the last three years and its wonderful! As with anything thats used a lot it is wearing out and it now sometimes only cooks on the manual setting. It's time to replace it! This brown one costs $23 less than the Stainless steel one that Amazon has. I know it's a great appliance so I'm buying it! That other reviewer is nuts!

First - you are not buying this grill from Walmart, like I thought I was.
Second- I did not like the ceramic grill plates.
Third - The temperature light never indicated the food was on.
Fourth - Every time I had to check the food, (remember the temp. gauge did not work)
the food would slide off the grill and my pork chops fell on the floor.
Fifth - You can only return the grill if you have never used it, and packed exactly the
same way you received it. So, the question here is......how in the world can
you know it doesn't work unless you UNPACK it and COOK ON IT!
On the bright side, the dogs LOVED the pork chops!
